Funeral Circle Streaming New Material
Canadian epic doomsters Funeral Circle and Bravewords.com have joined forces for the debut of a brand new track from the band's forthcoming self-titled album. The song, titled "The Charnel God," features nearly 10 minutes of this young band's classically-inspired and gargantuan doom metal.

Sea Of Bones Streaming "Black Arm"
Start your weekend on the dire side with a helping of "Black Arm" from Connecticut atmospheric doom metal militia, Sea of Bones. Give the song a listen at The Obelisk here.
The latest ditty of dirge comes courtesy of the band's forthcoming "The Earth Wants Us Dead" full-length, set for release later this month. The following press release was issued about the band:
"Their first proper recording in six years, The Earth Wants Us Dead serves as a true testament to Sea of Bones' impenetrable determination. Having weathered all manners of hell both collectively and personally, from a tour-terminating van crash and lineup shifts to two scrapped recordings, trashed songs, and a near breakup, The Earth Wants Us Dead could have, quite easily, not have been. However, Sea of Bones returns triumphantly to their original three-piece lineup, bruised, gnarlier and more determined than ever before.
"Recorded with guitarist Tom Mucherino and longtime friend David Lutz at a secret underground location (Mucherino's cellar) and mastered by Mell Dettmer (Earth, Kayo Dot, Thou), The Earth Wants Us Dead heaves forth a cataclysmic wall of soul-rumbling distortion."
"The Earth Wants Us Dead" will be released digitally on October 31st, 2013. The full track listing is:
1. The Stone The Slave And The Architect (streaming here)
2. Black Arm
3. Failure Of Light

Moreover AC Angrypays tribute to the Backyard Babies with the track 'Rocker.'"

Gojira Releases Live Video
Gojira's new video for the track “The Gift of Guilt” from last year’s "L’Enfant Sauvage" captures the band's live show in all its glory.
Filmed at London’s O2 Brixton Academy, it’s not quite as good as seeing the band live in the flesh, but it’s definitely the next best thing: watch it exclusively at MetalSucks here. The site comments:
"Gojira are truly something special; they’re one of the few bands in metal whose live performances are more like religious experiences than concerts. They bring all the energy you could possibly want from an extreme music act to the stage with them, but there’s also a gracefulness to the way they perform.
"As if that weren’t enough, Gojira have teamed up with Roadrunner Records labelmates Kvelertak to release a live EP, completely free, available right now. Each band has three songs on the EP including the version of Gojira’s 'The Gift of Guilt' in the video."

Fear Of Domination Readying New Video
Finnish industrial shock metal band Fear Of Domination is hard at work creating an official video for the second single from its "Legion" album. That video, for the album's title track, will be unveiled on October 20th. That single was initially released last month when Fear Of Domination went on tour with the Russian dance metal band Xe-None. Check out the facebook event page for more information on the filming.
Fans of the band are invited into the upcoming filming process, which vocalist Saku Solin elaborates upon: "The whole idea of giving the fans a possibility to be more part of our FoD family felt more like natural choice for us and I think it will give new fans a very good perspective what it means to be a part of this." The theme is a world-ending party and those who would like to participate are asked to pick their clothing referring to MadMax, Fallout, etc.
The shooting takes place in Kruununvuoren Rannan Oljysäiliö, which is an old abandoned oil tank. The sponsors of this event are Pyrostars, Varusteleka and Miraculos, whereas Dirtstudios is responsible for both filming and making the whole video. What is more, one of the sponsors, Pyrostars, is going to give a remarkable fire-show during the shooting. No wonder FoD's music is now called shock metal.

Blind Guardian Issues Album Update
On May 31st Blind Guardian will take a break and perform a special best-of set at the Out & Loud festival in Geiselwind/Germany.
Right now, the band is working intensively at the Twilight Hall Studio in Grefrath/Germany on the songs for an upcoming new record. Today Hansi Kürsch gives an update on the recording process:
"Surprise, surprise! I am sure no one expected me to be back with news about a band called Blind Guardian so quickly. The reason is quite simple, I’m a workaholic and I have no idea what to do with all my remaining energy at the moment. Therefore I have decided to spend some time with thoughts about Blind Guardians future plans. Here is my remarkable output.
"Like the majority of you, I was also very surprised when our show in Geiselwind was announced for May 2014. I suppose that I, or one of the other guys, have agreed to this show. I’ll probably never figure out who did it, but that’s not important now, the show itself is of importance. To be honest, all of us cannot wait to get back on stage. Our stage abstinence seems much longer to us than 'just' 2 years. Since we were asked to do a 'Best Of' show we do not even have to rehearse, this is more or less the type of show we have done in the past anyway. I still hope we can put in some surprises since no one really knows what we consider our 'Best Of' songs at the moment. It might differ from 'Memories Of A Time To Come' though. Right now I’m working on a possible set list and I’ll cross my fingers that this will be approved when the others have a look at it.
"By announcing this live appearance we also secretly announced the intended termination of our album production for the end of May. We obviously have progressed quickly, in Blind Guardian terms that is. Indeed, everything looks very promising with regards to our songwriting and our production. We have good reasons to believe that the album is going to be completely finished at that point. Let’s hope I will not be proven to be the reincarnation of good old Münchhausen again. Anyway, even the worst case scenario would have us not being too far away from completion at that point. Since we have already completed several production steps on the new album the picture gets clearer and clearer. Although not necessarily clear enough to decide whether I’ll go lyrically for individual topics on each separate song or instead for a conceptual album. On one hand the concept would have a strong fantasy link and on the other hand it would contain some typical Dystopian elements, because this is also what I musically find in most of the songs. They will all feature an almost magical grandeur but will present some very harsh disturbing elements as well. Therefore such a concept might be very suitable. I will have to sleep on it for a while until I’m able to make a decision.
"Whenever we start songwriting I try to create a plan in my mind detailing which qualities I would love to feature on the next BG album and what general impression I would like to create. Very often at the end things come out quite different and I’m surprised which qualities or preferences have shown up then. This time there seems to be a collective urge (without even having talked about it) among all members to feature the more aggressive side of BLIND GUARDIAN this time. More...
