About The Writers: January 2011 Activity
Metalunderground.com is run by a wide range of diverse contributors who are devoted to both metal and the wider musical world. Several of our staff members are involved with side projects going on outside of the website that you may be interested in checking out. For the month of January we'll take a look at new columns, new interviews, and musical projects from our contributors.
David S. Grant (aka Rockstar_Scribbler) continues his weekly The Rockstar Ramblings column as well as book reviews. He will also soon be contributing to the Sunday Old School column with features on Motley Crue, Twisted Sister, and W.A.S.P. David has recently re-released his book "Rock Stars," and is planning a book tour in 2011 for his new novel, "Blood-The New Red." About The Writers: July Activities
Metalunderground.com is run by a variety of individuals who are passionate about both metal and music in general. Many of our staff members have side projects going on, and those of you who keep in touch via social networks, email, and the like, may have already heard about them. I’m checking in again this month to highlight some of our current staff activities and their involvement in the metal community. Normally we’ll be giving up an update about our writer’s activity on the first Saturday of each month, but we pushed it back this month due to the holiday weekend.
Frank (aka Progessivity_In_All) has started scoring the soundtrack to an independent zombie film, "The Midnight Hour,” put out by Skyline Pictures. He is playing his final show as lead guitar/vocalist in progressive metal band Dark Hound in Nashville, TN at The Muse on July 22nd. The lineup also includes bands Clorange, Montezuma Fire Machine, and Frank The Fuck Out. More...

I wanted to take this opportunity to highlight for our readers some of our current staff activities and their involvement in the metal community.
Doug (aka deathbringer) is busy working on the much demanded browse-able archive of columns and op/eds, revamping the photo gallery, and more. He just recently launched a bands by country list on the main bands page, if you haven't seen it yet. He's also excited that EyeHateGod and Nachtmystium are coming through his little town and plans to cover the show for our readers. More...
