Hell is now streaming a new single from the band's upcoming record "Curse And Chapter," entitled "The Age Of Nefarious." Enjoy the stream on the bands Facebook profile here.
"The Age Of Nefarious" will be released October 25th, 2013. Coming as a 10” vinyl in several colored versions, it will include the single track plus three live songs recorded at the Bloodstock Festival, 2013.
The band's current incarnation with Andy Sneap (guitar) and David Bower (vocals) joining original members Kev Bower (guitar and keys), Tony Speakman (bass) and Tim Bowler (drums) will release "Curse and Chapter" on November 22nd 2013 via Nuclear Blast.
Commented guitarist Kev Bower: "In a world dominated by conflict, disease, corruption, poverty, disaster and crime - much of which has religion at its source - this is truly the dawning of 'The Age Of Nefarious'. The song was always going to be the perfect opener for the new Curse And Chapter album since it lays the foundation for everything which follows, but when we were approached by our friends at Nuclear Blast with the idea of producing a lead-off EP, we also decided that out of four possible EP album track candidates - this song should also be the one.
"It represents everything which Hell represents - it powers along in awe-inspiring majesty, but takes lots of unexpected twists and turns before reaching its inevitable conclusion. The artwork is once again the result of our collaboration with Dan Goldsworthy, and it shows just a tiny fraction of the artwork he has created for Curse And Chapter. With regard to the additional live tracks - where better to have recorded these than from the main stage at Bloodstock Open Air 2013 - the spiritual home of UK metal, during one of the best shows we have ever played, and in front of 10,000 of the most dedicated metal heads in the world. We are proud to be giving you a glimpse into the second Chapter......" More...

Danish melodic metal act Forcentury has issued the following announcement about parting ways with the band's bassist:
"We have some sad news for you. Due to personal reasons, Kristian 'Iver' Iversen has chosen to leave Forcentury. While not going into details about the reasons, we will just say that the decision is Iver's and the rest of the band respects his decision.
"Iver has been a part of the brotherhood the past 4 years. He joined with much dedication and eagerness when Vanguard was ready from the press. The rest of the band would like to thank Iver for his energetic passion when playing live, his solid bass foundation on Revelant, and not least, for his always good mood and mellow personality. We wish Iver all the best in the future, musically and personally!
"Forcentury has started writing new material for our 3rd album, and we are happy to say that the songs are taking shape and we are really enjoying jamming them and developing them. We will therefore take the time it takes to find a new bass guitarist without rushing things. If you feel that you have what it takes to be our new brother on bass, do not hesitate to contact us."
The new Suicidal Angels album “Divide and Conquer“ will be released on January 10th, 2014 (January 14th in North America).
Singer Nick recalls: “We recorded again in the Music Factory and Prophecy Studios and the mix and master this time was done by Fredrik Nordstrom at Fredman Studios. We didn’t know what to expect for the final result, but what we got is killer. He managed to combine the old school feeling of our music with an up to date production of 2013, absolutely massive!”
The cover artwork has been handled by Ed Repka (Megadeth, Death, Municipal Waste) and can be viewed below. The band comments: “If you notice, in the pit, it's not people fighting, it's zombies. Also the crowd isn't human, they are zombies. They are the souls of people who have no human feelings anymore. They represent the ugliness and the inhumanity of the humans. Thus, turned into something else, they are easier to be conquered and manipulated.” More...

After splitting with the band's vocalist in the middle of a tour and then abruptly cancelling the remaining dates despite finding a replacement, White Wizzard has now also split with record label Earache. The band posted this message online via Facebook:
"Excited to announce that we will be going independent and we have mutually parted company with Earache records. We wish them the best.
"This has been a decision made before the tour over the past couple of months. I appreciate the initial interest in White Wizzard and hope other bands that are with them do well. I am currently in the process of forming my own record label which shall be called White Wizzard records. I plan to form a couple of other projects next year.
"The guys in the band will now have an actual vested interest in making some $ from album sales and our merchandise which is fantastic. I will be releasing a blog soon with some advice on record labels and how I think most bands should avoid that road and the pros and cons. One silver lining is we have had some great singers come forward with interest and I think we should be announcing someone within a few days, and I wrote a song I am excited about yesterday and am about to get on a writing tear I believe.
"While guys that have been fired by me that have an agenda will continue to spew nonsense and lies trying to stir the pot and hurt the band, I will continue to write songs and put out music. We will not keep the shit flying back and forth. We will just wish them well and get on with it. I know the music is what counts and it is why I got into this, not for the dumb shit. The fans do not want to hear the crap, they want to hear good songs.
"In the end the truth is on our side and our intentions are nothing more than to make great music. Here is to a positive outlook in the coming months."

"Giostra di vapore" represents a new gothic fairy tale. "A band’s maturation leading to an evolution of the style introducing Victorian steampunk atmospheres. Music which produced the mind’s theater between times of waltz and tango. The musical structure, as in Gothic architecture, plays on thin emotional balances between electronics and orchestrations. An introspective concept which blends the present, the ancient and the future."
Composer/keyboardist Bradac commented on the album: “The new album will be the natural evolution of 'Miele Dal Salice.' We recorded more than 50 minutes of dark emotional music, mixing classical passages and electronic sounds, with our usual eerie atmosphere. The Lyrical Concept is based on the 'waltz of the mind' mixing Philosophy with Alchemy and Social Psychology."
The track listing for the album is::
1. The Four Vibrations
2. Giostra Di Vapore
3. ll Ballo Degli Obesi
4. Microcosm & Macrocosm

Finnish symphonic metal band has officially named Floor Jansen (ReVamp) permanent vocalist of the band. In addition, Troy Donockley - the purveyor of uilleann pipes on the latest tour - has now been made an official full time member. Jansen was the fill in vocalist following the departure of Anette Olzon just weeks into the band's North American tour with Kamelot in the Fall of 2012.
The statement from the band reads:
"Ms. Floor Jansen is a keeper.
"Also, we will be a six-piece band from now on, as Mr. Troy Donockley (uilleann pipes, low whistles, vocals) will become a full-time member of NIGHTWISH.
"Originally we were going to wait until 2014 to make a decision about the future line-up of the band, but the past year has clearly shown us that Floor and Troy are perfect matching pieces to our puzzle, and we are really grateful of the bond that has grown between all of us. We love you guys.
"Tuomas, Marco, Jukka, Emppu"
Floor Jansen commented: "Words cannot describe what I feel! This union is beyond everything and I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to continue this amazing journey with my new brothers! Once I had a dream…and this is it!!!"
Troy Donockley added: "`Imaginaerum World Tour´was a revelation to me and in that time, I became aware of a growing unity and then, finally, a transcendence of all the usual nonsense that affects bands. A beautiful process. And since the idea, the musical dream that is Nightwish has been a part of me since before I was born, I am delighted to officially sail into uncharted waters with my brothers and sister.
