I'm a lifelong listener of metal, starting in the early 70's with hard acid rock and evolving right into the independent metal movement of the 80's and beyond. I started disc-jockeying in 1983, playing metal on WNHU in Connecticut and alternative rock/punk on WYBC. In '87 I started writing for Creem Thrash Metal, Metal Maniacs, RIP and Metal Forces UK. In the early 90's I moved out west and was on KUNV for almost a decade, playing underground metal and promoting shows. Nowadays I am content being a fan and continuing to write.
