Vanhelga Streaming "LPT" Title Track

Vanhelga is now streaming the "LPT" title track online, which can be heard below, and the band comments:

"This creation is the result of a long period of time being hospitalized under the Swedish law called 'LPT.' I had no freedom at all and the only thing present was total misery and silence. All lyrics, music, and artwork was created during this time of isolation because I was lucky and had access to a laptop.

"The conclusion of this is; if you want to get a feeling of the anxiety, misery, depression and pain that being locked inside of a psychiatric ward provides -- listen to this piece of art.

"The sound in the beginning was recorded at the asylum by different patients (without their knowing). The main melody was inspired by it. The track has a bit more depressed feel to it than our earlier works but it has it's explanations."

Pre-orders are available at this location and the track listing is as follows:

1. Dag 1 04:37
2. Dag 2

Vesta Collide Posts New Music Video

Michigan's Vesta Collide has released an official video for the track "Outreach (The End)," which was shot in both Detroit and Los Angeles by director Sam Link. The band comments:

"In our debut single and music video, we specifically wanted to carry a positive theme. It's closing the doors of non-fulfillment and mentally being reborn in times where we're drowning in pessimism and antipathy. Putting an end to the monotonous cycle of letting our lives transpire without action, not settling.

"Outreach is pursuing everything you've ever wanted, coming clean with yourself and making a definite change, regardless of what anyone else thinks. It doesn't matter. You drown out the voices because the only thing that matters is what you believe. Time is our only limitation and we can't let that pass us by.

"We want each person who listens to our song to know that they have the power to cut ties from all the negativity and adversity that has been placed upon them. It's the start of a new place in our lives and a confident transition with leaving the past in the past. Letting the future unfold in a way that leaves you completely blissful and free." More...

American Hell Calling It Quits

American Hell has issued the following announcement about deciding to call it a day and lining up a final live performance:

"Well what's there to say other than life catches up with you sooner or later. But this seems to be the end of American Hell. It has just become too hard to get together and accomplish things we expect out of a band. Jams have been few and far in between and writing has suffered greatly because of it.

"When we started this band we expected nothing but good times and those expectations have been far exceeded. We couldn't have done any of it with out others giving a damn about us and for that we are all forever grateful. We have all met some great people and made new friendships, which are sure to last a lifetime.

"But the bottom line is things are just too busy for everyone on a personal level to continue this band any further.

"We're going to throw one more banger at Detour Music Hall. Details soon. We hope to see you guys and rock out one more time with us!" More...
