Seven Against Streaming New Single
Finnish outfit Seven Against has a new track out now titled "Bleach," which can be heard below. The band also comments:
"You might have been wondering what is happening in the Seven Against camp and to be more precise what is happening with the recording process we informed you about in the beginning of this year.
"Well, no need to guess anymore. Seven Against is back with a new powerful and driving tune full of energy. Say hello to Bleach, your #1 beer drinking anthem for this summer. Bleach will be one of the 11 songs off of our first full-length to be released after the summer.
"Unfortunately due to various reasons we couldn’t make it early summer as was the plan originally. Expect to hear some of our old tunes re-recorded/mixed/mastered together with some new killer ones. It will be a great album, no doubt about that! Mixing duties will be handled by Mikko Raita whose mixing discography includes such names as Apocalyptica, Sunrise Avenue and Von Hertzen Brothers. Meanwhile, put your speakers and headphones to a test and crank the volume up and enjoy Bleach!" More...

Autumn's Dawn Releasing Self-Titled EP
Eisenwald has announced July 21st as the international release date for a self-titled EP from Autumn's Dawn. Released digitally in April, Autumn's Dawn will now be seeing a gatefold 12" vinyl release, with limited mail order copies available in white vinyl.
Autumn's Dawn is a new musical collaboration between two musicians by the names of Sorrow (Germ, Austere, Grey Waters) and Anguish (Rise of Avernus, Troldhaugen). Both having played in numerous bands over the years, the idea for Autumn's Dawn came about in 2013 while Anguish was playing session live guitar for Sorrow’s solo project Germ.
Written and recorded in just a few days in late 2013, this debut EP is a brief, raw, and honest take on melancholic black metal, and is just a mere taste of what is to come from Autumn's Dawn in the future with a debut full-length album for Eisenwald later this year. You can check out a song off that upcoming release over here.
The self-titled EP's track listing is as follows:
A1 - A Reflection in Dust [7:05]

Musk Ox Streams Full New Album
In celebration of its official worldwide unveiling today, "Woodfall," the latest EP from Canadian neofolk trio Musk Ox, is currently streaming in its entirety online. Check it out below.
Nearly six years in the making, "Woodfall" is a one-hour, five-part progressive chamber folk epic for classical guitar, cello, and violin which sees Musk Ox pushing lush sounds to soaring new heights.
Inspired by Canada's brilliant landscapes, Musk Ox meshes the acoustic textures of neofolk with the expansiveness of post rock, the intricacies of progressive rock, and the emotional mass of metal into a forlorn sonic passage through natural realms where darkness and light, substance and void, sorrow and joy, exist as a single entity.
The track listing is as follows:
1. Part 1 - Earthrise 09:24
2. Part 2 - Windswept 10:44
3. Part 3 - Arcanum 17:35
4. Part 4 - Above the Clouds 10:28

"Transients" will be released worldwide via Bullet Tooth on July 15th, 2014 to coincide with U.S. touring. Singer and lyricist Clay Nevels commented on the new album:
"Transients just seemed like the appropriate title for an album describing the past two years of our lives. We don't have any misconceived notions about who we are nor do we think what we're doing is important in the grand scheme of the world. We're not doctors, firemen, scientists, etc.... We make music, we scrap by, we struggle for everything we have, but it's a deliberate struggle and we appreciate the opportunities this life affords us."
Guitarist Tommy Borboa adds: "We really tried to push the technical side and our abilities as musicians while still focusing on melody and memorable parts. After spending the majority of a year working on this record, I think we've come up with something unique and I'm beyond stoked on what we've created." More...

Internal Bleeding Finishes Work On New Album

"They knew what they were going for but had been very frustrated in the past and plagued by production issues," relays Cincotta, "I'm happy I was able to finally get them to where they always wanted to be."
"I'm totally pumped about this," drummer Bill Tolley enthused. "It's the first album we've put out in our 20-plus year history that has everything we've always wanted. Principality Of Hell To Release New Album
W.T.C. Productions has set August 18th as the international release date for Principality of Hell's debut album, "Fire & Brimstone." The label states:
"Burning with power from Hell and emitting sacrilegious smoke, Fire & Brimstone is an album that has one - and ONLY one - aim: to revive the old black/thrash spirit of the early/mid '80s, when legends like Venom, Bathory, Celtic Frost, Sodom, and Voivod stalked the earth.
"On paper, it sounds like an idea that's been wrung dry, but it's an idea that takes on especial gravitas coming from black metal scene veterans - namely Greece's legendary The Magus, who's wielded wide influence upon the black metal scene since the early '90s with Necromantia and Thou Art Lord.
"Joining him in Principality Of Hell are fellow conspirators El (Soulskinner, Thou Art Lord) and J. Maelstrom (Ravencult, Thou Art Lord), and together they create a rowdy, galloping ride through blackthrash's darkest past. And yet, each song (including a classic early Exodus cover) remains varied from the next, with each deadly strike lodging immediately within the cranium. With Fire & Brimstone, expect no more or no less: PURE FUCKING BLACK METAL the old-school way!"
The album's track listing is as follows:
1. Fire & Brimstone
2. Codex Inferno
3. The Bleeding Nun
4. We ride at Night
5. Leviathan
6. The Witches’ Coven
7. Hellfire Legions
8. The 9th Seal

With the band playing its first show less than a year ago, things are moving fast for Black Crown Initiate. "We started this band with absolutely no clue how far it would take us," says guitarist Andy Thomas. "It has been an amazing time, as of today, we can honestly say that we are starting a new chapter in our careers; one that will afford us opportunities that we never imagined. Funeral Horse Releasing New LP
Texas doom punk trio Funeral Horse today announces the official release of "Sinister Rites of the Master" via Artificial Head this Summer.
You can check out the song "Until The Last Nation Falls" below, and the following press release was also issued about the band:
"Made up of front man/guitarist Paul Bearer, bassist Jason Andy Argonauts and drummer Chris Larmour, Houston’s Funeral Horse are offhand in their attitude to technical virtuosity. Whether rocking their way through dark blues or dissonant experimentation Sinister Rites Of The Master is unapologetically thunderous.
"Under the influence, this current assembly of unholy noisemakers produce music to gouge minds to. Murky and fuzzed out, punk by execution but unmistakably proto-metal in mass and volume the album peddles the sort of sounds you might find at the angrier end of a Sub Pop or Touch and Go discography. A shot in the vein of Tad via Mudhoney’s raw megaphonic vocals (‘Until The Last Nation Falls’, ‘Amputate The Hands Of Thieves’) Funeral Horse also take in the vintage and lo-fi grind of traditional stoner, and even classic rock, as best heard on their storming cover of Rush’s ‘Working Man.'"
The first pressing of "Sinister Rites Of The Master" will be released August 11th via Artificial Head Records on hand numbered/multi-coloured 12” vinyl (limited to 333 copies). More...

Ides Of Gemini Reveals Album Details
Ethereal doom trio Ides of Gemini is preparing to unveil sophomore offering, "Old World New Wave," via Neurot Recordings digitally and on vinyl via SIGE Records on September 16th, 2014.
Ides of Gemini features guitarist Jason Bennett, drummer Kelly Johnston-Gibson, and the haunting vocal prowess of singer/bassist Sera Timms, also of Los Angeles dark-psych conjurors Black Mare. The follow-up to the band's 2012 "Constantinople" debut was recorded at Valley Recording in Burbank, California, engineered and mixed by Chris Rakestraw (Danzig), mastered by Grammy award winning producer Matt Hyde (Slayer) and boasts the hand-drawn cover art of Johnston-Gibson.
Comments Sera Timms of the offering, "For Old World New Wave we all really coalesced as a band, and were able to work off one another's strengths. J came up with the basic concept and musical framework of the album, and Kelly and I gave it form and identity. For me, my own personal musical identity, taste, preferences etc. were eclipsed by the power of the music which worked as an animate force unto itself -- so much so that I cannot listen to any of it objectively, or tell you if it's good or bad, but I can tell you that it's distinctively Ides of Gemini." Spiral Shades Premieres New Lyric Video
Wish there was still high quality stoner doom that made you think of the early days of British metal bands? Today's premiere is for you then - as we bring you the official lyric video premiere for "Frustrations" from Spiral Shades!
Check it out below and let us know what you think in the comments. "Frustrations" is taken from the band's "Hypnosis Sessions" album, due out through RidingEasy Records on August 5th, 2014.
Spiral Shades was formed by Vennesla, Norway-native Filip Peterson and Mumbai based singer-songwriter Khushal Bhadra. As avid fans of obscure ’70s rock, doom and proto-metal, prior to forming Spiral Shades both Peterson and Bhadra relied on YouTube to unearth lost music and showcase their individual talents as musicians. Each would upload their own cover versions of songs they had discovered online but it wasn’t until one evening in the Summer of 2012 that Khushal happened to stumble onto Filip’s channel where he was taken aback by the Norwegian’s choices and impressive guitar playing.
“We appeared to possess identical influences and a love for the ’70s,” recalls Khushal. “Later we
discovered that we shared in the belief that music created in that era had a certain kind of depth and emotion. My late father got me into bands like Black Sabbath and Deep Purple when I was young and those bands completely changed my world. Since then I have been trying to unearth bands with similar vibes.” More...
