Airbourne Posts Motorhead Tribute Video
Airborune today reveals a rip-roaring video for "It's All For Rock N' Roll," the climactic track on current studio album, "Breakin' Outta Hell." Check it out below (or at Vevo here if it doesn't load below).
"It's All For Rock N' Roll" was written about Lemmy, a man the band looked up to, befriended and loved, having shared stages with Motörhead on numerous occasions both in Europe and Australia. When Airbourne needed someone to drive a large truck (recklessly, of course) in the "Runnin' Wild" video (2007), Lemmy was the first name on the list, and he duly obliged with a memorable, authority-baitin' cameo.
Motörhead's famous "bomber" lighting rig, a noted part of 'Head history since the late '70s, was enthusiastically lent to Airbourne by the Motörhead camp, adding real emotional weight to both the "It's All For Rock N' Roll" clip and the song itself - an anthemic number recorded to honour one of rock's most revered and influential figures.
"When Motörhead played, Lemmy was there for the fans and the fans were there for him. It didn't matter what was happening in the world at that point, because Motörhead was onstage; the crew had everything dialled in, and the crowd were there and lovin' it - all for rock n' roll," said Airbourne frontman Joel O'Keeffe. "Whenever we were on tour, we looked forward to seeing the festival posters with the big Motörhead logo on there, and now there's just a big black hole. 'We are Motörhead, and we play rock 'n' roll,' we were so used to hearing that, and when it's not there anymore, it hits you hard. Lemmy meant so much to us, and so much to rock 'n' roll itself..." Oozepus Posts New EP
"Your Limit," the proper debut EP by Japan's Ooozepus, is out now through Malignant Records and delivers four new tracks of crushing noise rock/post-industrial metal that revels in the physicality and simplistic brutality of early-era Godflesh and Swans.

This record had drawn influence from a wide variety of acts such as Pig Destroyer, Discordance Axis, Swans, and Noothgrush as well as embuing the sounds of hardcore, grindcore, black metal, harsh noise, and death metal.
"Thematically, this record carries a narrative through 5 songs; a nihilist writes a final manifesto, in an attempt to warn the world of our true lack of purpose and the discouraging and sometimes relieving fact that we all die. It is an experiment in metal and melody and I hope you enjoy it." More...

Ghost Bath Unveils "Starmourner" Details
Ghost Bath is pleased to announce the release of "Starmourner" on April 21st via Nuclear Blast Entertainment. As a precursor to its release, the band has unveiled the first single from the record, entitled "Thrones." Listen in below.
Since its inception, Ghost Bath has played atmospheric black metal focused on depression, tragedy, purgatory, and earthly wonders. "Starmourner" takes these concepts to a higher level. It explores joy (instead of sorrow), paradise (instead of purgatory), and the cosmos (instead of earth). Most importantly however, it explores ecstasy -- instead of tragedy -- as its basic human emotion.
Each track is accompanied by a beautifully crafted painting as well as a parable to read alongside. This allows the listener to explore not only the audio soundscapes, but a visual and imaginative experience through as they delve into the album.
"The stories, or parables, look into Jewish angelology and the hierarchy of angels as found in the Bible and other religious texts," says vocalist/ mastermind Nameless. "Although the album has a definitive joyful and hopeful feel, it is still drenched in depression and sorrow, as any true Ghost Bath record should be."
The album was recorded, mixed, mastered and produced by Josh Schroeder (Battlecross, Still Remains) and features cover artwork Luciana Nedelea (Enbilulugugal, Foehammer). The track listing is as follows: More...

Farsot Unveils New Album
Experimental black metal band Farsot will release third album, "Fail?Lure," on April 21st via Prophecy Productions / Lupus Lounge. Produced by V. Santura (Triptykon, Secrets Of The Moon), the album merges Farsot’s avant-garde songwriting with original black metal arrangements and a dynamism that could only come from one of the world’s most ambitious underground bands.
A blend of failure and allure, the album is conceptually inspired by the critically acclaimed Peter Greenaway film, "Drowning by Numbers" which won the award for Best Artistic Contribution at the 1998 Cannes Film Festival, as well as Art Nouveau works such as Khnopff's "Ishtar," Klimt's "Water Serpents," Kotarbinski's "Kiss of Medusa," and Schwabe's "La Vague."
The record’s album art features a sculpture by French artist Denis Lavoyer that depicts a female idealized with threatening, claw-like branches for arms, addressing the inevitable dilemma between fascination and mania and seeming rifts between the sexes; it is an allegory of life as an endless game that cannot be won.

Today the black metal visionaries from Medico Peste premiere new track "Hallucinating Warmth and Bliss." The track hails from the band's new mini-album, "Herzogian Darkness," set for international release on March 30th via W.T.C. Productions.
Ever aptly titled, "Herzogian Darkness" is a shadowy plunge into strange, shapeshifting depths. It is recognizably black metal by sound and vision - and, more or less, by name - but the febrile sensations these mysterious Poles emit elude safe categorization.

Drummer Ashley Doodkorte says this about the band’s evolving sound on this record: "The tracks on 'Ghost Mile' embrace some of the more idiosyncratic aspects of our playing and songwriting - all of us are pushing our instrumentation to places they haven't visited as much in the past, while still maintaining the hallmarks of our sound - and the results continually surprise and delight us! Like never before, this new album really feels like the sum of all of our influences, ideas and personalities."
