Bringing progressive metal into new dimensions for those who enjoy explosive adventure, the Vancouver virtuosos from OmnisighT recently unleashed latest effort "Power of One."

Today the band is excited to share with fans a new lyric video for the "Seven Sisters" track in support of that EP. Vocalist / guitarist Raj Krishna explains:

"I wrote the 'Seven Sisters' riff just goofing around at home. I really didn't even like it that much! I still wanted to try it out live in the room though, and Chris our drummer put this super funky groove on it and I got a vocal off it right away.

"It's loosely based on the seven sisters oil cartel BP, Shell, Exxon, Texaco Standard Oil and the like. Basically it's about befriending people just to get at their resources. It's also in a 7/8 time signature through a lot of the song, so that's me just trying to be clever!" More...

Witherfall Posts New Album Trailer

After an epic pit story about mob justice, Witherfall is gearing up to release debut album "Nocturnes and Requiems" on February 10th.

During the recording process and subsequently after, the band shot a series of album trailers that will be released over the coming days. Today the second trailer has been made available for viewing and can be seen below.

Witherfall headed to Phoenix, Arizona to self-produce "Nocturnes And Requiems" with engineer Ralph Patlan (Megadeth, Brian "Head" Welch, MSG) in late 2014. The album was then sent on to New York City for mixing and mastering by Chris "Zeuss" Harris (Rob Zombie, Queensrÿche, Hatebreed) at Planet Z.

The "Nocturnes And Requiems" album is dedicated to the life of Adam Sagan who passed on December 7th, 2016 during the final stages of production. Witherfall collectively commented:

"This, as we know, is the last piece of work that Adam contributed and played on. Adam's talent, passion and personality is woven throughout every part of this record as he was easily 1/3 of the creative force. 'Nocturnes and Requiems' was a name that Adam eerily came up with one evening when we were figuring out album titles would not have sounded the way it does now without his immense contribution on and off the drums. Adam, we love you and it's a tragedy that you were not able to see this release. You will always and forever be a member of Witherfall. Rest In Peace man." More...

It's about facing your problems head-on in order to find peace within yourself. A topic that really hits home for a lot of our fans struggling with their own demons. Product Of Hate Releases New Video

Product Of Hate kicks off 2017 by releasing "Revolution of Destruction," the fifth official video from Napalm Records debut album "Buried In Violence." This thunderous slice of genuine American metal is an anthem for a new year, destined to provoke fists in the air.

"We're super excited for this video to be released! It gives audiences a real taste of what we do to make these songs come together," said lead guitarist, Geno Rathbone. "No fancy effects, no laser light show. Just the five of us, in the pocket, doing what we do best -- playing off of one another to create something pure for our fans. This video really captures that feel."

"This is a bit different than the other videos that we've released," adds frontman Adam Gilley. "Playing to each other with our gear surrounding us is very much how we normally practice and write. There's a lot of energy."

Now Product Of Hate looks forward to hitting the road in further support of the album, with the next tour announcement expected shortly. More...

Havok Streaming "Ingsoc"

Thrash outfit Havok just unleashed another new track off upcoming record "Conformicide." The song, titled "Ingsoc," is the longest running track on the new album and lyrically takes heavy influence from the classic George Orwell novel, "1984."

Speaking about "Ingsoc", Havok lead guitartist Reece Scruggs states, "This is one of my favorite tracks on the record, and a bit left field compared to most Havok tracks. Full of slamming riffs and burning lines; it's still 100% us but a bit progressive. I fully believe this song display the best in each of us and comes together to be a ripper!"

Adding his thoughts on the writing and thematics behind the song, David Sanchez (vocals, guitar) comments:"'1984' takes place in a socialist hell wherein there is perpetual war, government-sanctioned propaganda, massive gaps between the rich and poor, and Big Brother spies on every citizen. It appears that Orwell was not just a novelist, but a prophet; as 'Ingsoc' has become all too real. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength." More...

Wan Announces Album Release

The Norse old-school black metal miscreants from Wan are set to release "Wan Way to Hell," their third and most devastating album to date, on February 10th via Carnal Records.

Wan was formed in 2009 as a triad of aggression with the intent of bringing metal back to its roots - raw, filthy, and in the gutter with a twist of punk. A year later, the band released first full-length "Wolves of the North."

Core members Aganaroth, Isengrim, and Tsjud recruited drummer Dimman for the 2013 follow-up "Enjoy the Filth." Dimman's time in Wan was short-lived, opening the door for current skin-basher Draup.

"Wolves of the North" was re-recorded in 2015 and released together with "Enjoy the Filth" as a limited gatefold double LP. The band has since brought primal, old-school black metal to several stages in preparation for this upcoming deadliest release to date. More...
