Ravage Announces New EP
Ravage, the heavy metal act from Boston which formed in the mid 90's, will release their new EP, "The Worldwide Resistance," on November 2. The new EP will feature four songs.
Physical copies will only be available in one format - an extremely limited edition, engraved 12" color vinyl limited to 300 worldwide copies. The individual songs will also be made available for digital download and a YouTube video of the songs will be released on an exclusive YouTube channel prior to the physical release. The channel and streaming release date has yet to be announced.
Singer Al Ravage commented, "We are pleased to announce the release of our first new original music since 'The Derelict City' EP CD back in 2018. This new EP is a sampling of some songs that we were working on for our upcoming full-length before the pandemic forced us to shut things down. We chose these tracks because the subject matter is in some ways reflective of some of the disturbing things we see going on in our country and in the world today and we decided it was time to have our say and speak out against some of the injustices we are seeing. We're not politicians or experts, we're just underground metal musicians but we feel if we can spread the word about encouraging mask-wearing to stem the spread of Covid, and shed some light on injustice and hate, we can make some small difference in the world. We've decided we've seen enough and it's time to make a stand for civility, for justice, and for an end to the hate and bigotry. We'll be donating all profits from this vinyl release and the t-shirts to charity."
Physical copies will be distributed by the Die With Your Boots On metal and clothing shop. More...
Autopsy To Release First Live Album
Peaceville Records will issue Autopsy’s first official live album, Live In Chicago, on October 30. The album will feature classic tracks form over three decades of depravity and will include a new, unreleased track, "Maggots In The Mirror." "Live In Chicago" will out on double gatefold black vinyl and CD format.
"Live In Chicago" was recorded at Reggie’s Rock Club, March 7, 2020, and contains 66 minutes of classics spanning the whole 30+ year career of the death metal legends. The release also notably includes the brand new track "Maggots in the Mirror," giving fans something to chew on while the impending next studio release takes shape. Due to recent and somewhat unforeseen global events, this stands as Autopsy’s only gig of 2020, out of what was intended to be a string of several appearances. Luckily the show was professionally recorded, unknowing of what was about to follow.
With mixing carried out by Adam Munoz, notable for his work on Autopsy’s studio albums, "Live In Chicago" captures Autopsy in all of their ferocious, gory glory, with artwork once again conjured from the masterfully warped mind of Wes Benscoter (Slayer, Nile, Kreator).
Every vinyl preorder of "Live In Chicago" from Peaceville.com will receive the Born Undead DVD release. The DVD features full A History Of Horror, an Autopsy documentary and extensive live footage with a running time of almost 5 hours. More...

Tymon comments on "Unravel": "'Unravel' is probably one of the more unique songs on the album, with its uptempo vibe and many ups and downs. It’s about recognising and breaking down the plethora of coping mechanisms we tend to build into our sense of self over the course of our lives. It’s a song about rediscovering who you are underneath it all. It was the first song we wrote for the new album and it was obvious from the very beginning that this had to be the opening track on the album as well as the first single release." More...

Neptune Shares "Last Man Standing" Music Video
The melodic metal band Neptune releases today (4 September) "Last Man Standing" – their second single from the band's upcoming studio album "Northern Steel." The album is to be released on November 6, 2020. You can check it out below.
Neptune, an 80s melodic metal band that has built up a loyal fanbase over time, is now finally releasing their real debut album, only 35 years after they pulled the plug from the band. Early 2018, their collected demo recordings from the 1980s were released to the fans' great satisfaction. The band was completely unaware that some of their old recordings were leaked online during the 2000s which found its way to fans around the globe. That culminated in the release of the compilation album "Land of Northern".
Neptune is a Swedish melodic metal band from the 1980s that was considered to be one of the earliest pioneers during the NWOSHM era. The band are in the same style as Madison, 220 Volt, Heavy Load, Early Europe, Silver Mountain and Glory.
The song "Last Man Standing" is the band's second single from the upcoming album. "Last man Standing" is probably the song from "Northern Steel" that flirts most with the band's older material. If you are a true listener to Neptunes older material, you might hear influences from songs like "Protector," "Enemies" and "Burglary Man." On the album, they have invited several of their friends to participate. On "Last Man Standing" you will find Stephen Carlson - (Brotthogg, Melodic Passion, The Rise, Tales) on solo guitar.
In collaboration with Melodic Passion Records and Sound Pollution, the single is now available on all digital platforms. The music video is available on the band's YouTube channel and this release is the countdown for a new major venture with Neptune which means an album release at the end of November and then enter the roads in 2021/2022. Northern Steel will be released on CD, black and green vinyl as well as digital on November 6th and will be distributed by Sound Pollution. More...
