The Myopia Condition Reveals Debut Album Details

Canada’s The Myopia Condition is very excited to be releasing their debut album "Event Horizon" on October 16, 2020.

Elegant grooves are mashed together with blast beats and double kicks, along with guitar leads that sing like birds. The album is full of energy from front to back; even the soft bits are heavy. It's a very real and genuine record both lyrically and musically along with hints of goofy amongst. The Myopia Condition doesn’t take life too seriously, but they pour passion into their music.

"Event Horizon" has great depth to it, with dynamically diverse songs that evoke emotion from listeners. The Myopia Condition further explains the album in their own words:

"This album has something for every metalhead, in my opinion, especially those inclined to listen to overtly heavy metal. Rhythmically the band's tightness and aggressiveness leave the audience stunned and wanting more."

The Myopia Condition is an adrenaline-packed live experience as witnessed at local festivals and shows. They are antsy to return to the stage, but in the meantime offer this album while we wait for the world to return to normal. More...

Insidious Disease Posts New Album Trailer Online

Norwegian death metal beasts Insidious Disease, featuring current/former members from Dimmu Borgir, Morgoth, Nile, Susperia and Napalm Death, will release their first album in a decade, "After Death," on October 30 via Nuclear Blast.

In a new trailer released today, the band discuses their storied past and the journey that's led them to one of the most ferocious records this year. You can check it out below.

Sonically inducing a depraved and morbid condition of the mind, Insidious Disease returns this fall to present their second full length album. Freshly signed to Nuclear Blast Records, the band convenes to create a modern venture into classic death metal. Still in the early stages of existence with only their debut album "Shadowcast" (2010) preceding, Insidious Disease are ripe with a hellish energy that seeks to sear its way across the universe of heavy metal.

"It’s not supposed to be re-inventing the wheel or anything, it’s just about finding a good groove that we feel comfortable with," explains guitarist Silenoz. More...

Lords Of Black Reveals New Album Details

Spanish metal outfit Lords Of Black has confirmed that their new album, "Alchemy Of Souls - Part 1," will be released on November 6th through Frontiers Music. In addition to this, the band has posted a new music video online for the song, "Dying To Live Again," which can be seen below.

"'Dying To Live Again' is the opening track on our new album and it is a song of hope," states Tony Hernando, the guitarist for Spanish metal act Lords Of Black. "In these difficult times we're living in, it's very important to reflect on what we are, what we want to be and where we are headed, not only as individuals, but as a society and humanity as a whole. It is okay to feel confusion, fear and uncertainty, but we must be aware of what's at stake right now because this might be a turning point in history. I just hope the outcome is not only that we'll beat this pandemic, but we'll still stand and fight for the right reasons, celebrating liberty and the joy of life...we're definitely DYING TO LIVE AGAIN!"

Lords Of Black was formed via an artistic union between Hernando and his fellow countryman Ronnie Romero (also of Rainbow and Vandenberg). Their new album, "Alchemy Of Souls - Part I," is the group’s fourth, and, while its songwriting displays a love of the legendary artists and albums that formed the blueprint for their chosen genre, it also incorporates modernity into its overall sound. The record is also a reunion of sorts as Romero took a hiatus from the band during 2019, during which time Hernando auditioned new singers and even appeared live with a line-up that featured Diego Valdes (Dream Child) and Dino Jelusick (Animal Drive). Meanwhile, he also continued to create new music that would push him past the boundaries of anything the band had previously achieved. Eventually, he sent the material he was working on to Romero and such was its quality that the singer immediately decided that he wanted to be part of it and returned to the fold. The completed album presents a rejuvenated and inspired Lords Of Black.

The group’s primary aim upon forming in 2014 was to blend a modern metal approach with catchy, melodic and progressive elements, which could be heard on an acclaimed self-titled debut released that year which was promoted with a series of live shows that included several high profile special guest slots. The legendary guitarist Ritchie Blackmore became aware of Romero and invited him to front his newly reformed Rainbow, which in turn brought Lords Of Black to the attention of an international music media intrigued by Blackmore describing Romero’s voice as "a cross between Ronnie James Dio and Freddie Mercury." Swedish melodic death metal crusher The Unguided awaits with the successor of their latest offering and presents their second single, "Never Yield," off their upcoming full-length, "Father Shadow," to be released on October 9 via Napalm Records.

Along with a fantasy-inspired and rousing official lyric video, the four-piece presents a fast-paced banger that will pierce straight into your eardrums. A clean chorus exploding in deep, menacing shouts characterizes the new hard-hitting offering.

With their new full-length, these Nordic heavyweights prove that they can’t be pigeonholed. Eleven quick-tempered, high-voltage pieces indicate that The Unguided have liberated themselves from the shadows of the past but are still aware of their manifold roots. The intoxicating mixture of clean hooklines and powerful screams lead up to a unique symbiosis of pure harshness. More...

Night Streaming New Album

Night will release their fourth album "High Tides - Distant Skies" this Friday, September 11, 2020. The album contains nine new tracks of classic sounding rock music and is being premiered now at Metal Injection. You can listen to it here

"If you're in the mood for a band that sounds like Iron Maiden bought a pair of bell-bottom jeans, then you're going to love this."
-Greg Kennelty, Metal Injection

"High Tide - Distant Skies" follows Night's critically acclaimed album "Raft of the World." If their last album was darker and had a strong proto-metal niche, the new album has much wider influences and a More is More approach. The album is built upon rhythm and melodies, and Oskar Andersson now shares the position as lead vocalist with Sammy Ouirra.

"To create something big we had to downscale to something small. This time we had no room for Flying V guitars, but instead focused on solid single-coil sound. The new sound created a bigger space for vocals and arrangements."
-Sammy Ouirra
