Demonical To Release New Album In October

Swedish death metal squad Demonical will release a new studio album titled "World Domination" on October 23 via Agonia Records.

"World Domination" is a gateway to old and new Demonical. The band's sixth album marks the debut for vocalist Christofer Sätderdal and the return for original drummer Ronnie Bergerstål (2006-2011, 2019-present). There are no major changes to the band's proven formula of brutal, melodic and insolently Swedish death metal. "World Domination" picks up where 2018's "Chaos Manifesto" left off, with a touch of extra dynamics and vibrancy that enrich the band's sound.

Demonical commented: "So here we have it, World Domination; our sixth full-length album and the first one to feature new vocalist. Christofer Sätderdal and new-old drummer Ronnie Bergerstål. World Domination continues the same path as our previous Chaos Manifesto slap, in other words, fierce HM-2 driven Swedish death metal, a ravage combination of brutality, melody and darkness. As always on every album, even this time we tried out some new traces and elements we haven’t explored before and have to say that we are stoked about the final outcome. When it comes to the production, this is clearly our most dynamic and vivid album so far. Not only did we use a different way of recording everything, we went also for a much more energetic and breathing sound closer to how albums were produced in the late 80’s and early 90’s. World Domination was recorded at a few different studios around Sweden, then mixed & mastered by Karl Daniel Lidén - a victorious collaboration we started with on our previous album."

"World Domination" was recorded in June 2020 at Glashuset and Sellnoise studios by Johan Hjelm and Jonas Arnberg, with production by Demonical. Mixing and mastering were handled by award winning producer Karl Daniel Lidén (Bloodbath, Katatonia) at Tri-Lamb Studios. The cover artwork was created by Susan Wicher. More...

Fight The Fight Uploads New Lyric Video

Norwegian high-octane metallers, Fight The Fight, have released an official lyric video for the new track, "Ritual" - the fourth single off their sophomore album Deliverance, to be released on September 18 via Blacklight Media Records (North America) and Indie Recordings (worldwide excluding North America). You can watch the new lyric video below.

This heavy-metal anthem comes in like a horde of elephants with its stomping beats. The "Ritual" Fight The Fight are celebrating is a fast and dynamic one, which smashes directly in your face. Punchy like Rammstein, aggressive as Slipknot and catchy as Parkway Drive - this song captivates you with its straight, heavy and "easy-to-follow" approach.

Furthermore, these Norwegians are no band that takes themselves too seriously, commenting about the track: "We present to you 'Ritual' - a straight-up rock/metal song that will make your balls and tits swing!" More...

Pain Of Salvation Releases New Lyric Video

Sweden’s Pain Of Salvation have released their new studio album, "Panther," via InsideOutMusic. Daniel Gildenlöw checked in with the following message for the band’s supporters about the new release:

"This album is for you, or someone you know. It is for the restless, the shy, the motormouths, the passionate, the ones who go far beyond the point of reason for what you believe in, the outsiders, the diagnosed, the medicated, the hungry, the sad, the ones walking around daily trying to understand how to fit in with this species, with this era. It's for everyone who always had problems sitting still in the class room, or who never really knew how to speak up. The daydreamers, the relentlessly curious, the comedians, the unexplainably angry. This is your album. Because you, my friend, are a panther. And you are a valued member of the Full Throttle Tribe. Ladies and gentlemen, rev your engines, the world is about to get panthered! #areyouapanther"

In order to further support the album’s release, the band have released a lyric video created by Thomas Hicks for the song "Unfuture," which can be seen below.

Gildenlöw states: "This is probably the most typical Pain Of Salvation song of the album, and if you're nervous about the new and unknown, this might be a good track to hold your hand as you venture deeper into the album, or as the Panther sinks its teeth deeper into you. More...

Six Feet Under Launches New Lyric Video

On October 2nd, Six Feet Under will release their seventeenth full-length, "Nightmares Of The Decomposed," via Metal Blade Records. For a preview of "Nightmares Of The Decomposed," a lyric video for the first single, "Amputator," can be viewed below.

Comprised of twelve tracks, "Nightmares Of The Decomposed" is a defining statement, making it very clear that more than twenty-five years into their career, Six Feet Under remain at the forefront of the genre. Dynamic, heavy as hell, catchy, and uncompromising, it is everything that the band's longtime faithful have come to expect from the deadly unit, and is clearly the product of a lot of hard work by vocalist Chris Barnes, guitarists Jack Owen and Ray Suhy, bassist Jeff Hughell and drummer Marco Pitruzzella.

Tracked at various studios including Criteria Studios in Miami, Florida, which over the years has played host to the likes of AC/DC, Black Sabbath, and Aerosmith amongst others, it was produced, engineered and mixed by Chris Carroll, who has given it a full and chunky feel. The album's mastering was handled by Chaz Najjar at Badlands Recording in Denver, Colorado. The finished product comes packaged in artwork by Luke Hunter and is packed with songs that will sound great live, and will sit comfortably alongside the classics already filling out their set lists, helping to drive the band ever closer to their fourth decade of existence.

Chris Barnes (vocals) comments: "Working again after 25 years writing an album with my old band mate from Cannibal Corpse, Jack Owen, was like coming home...To a room full of dead bodies. Jack's writing and riff work on this album gave me the fuel to write some disturbing lyrics and really set my creative mind on fire."

"Nightmares Of The Decomposed" track-listing
1. Amputator
2. Zodiac
3. The Rotting
4. Death Will Follow
5. Migraine

Crippled Black Phoenix Posts New Video Online

Dark Progressive rock outfit Crippled Black Phoenix will be releasing the full-length "Ellengæst" on October 9 via Season of Mist! The band has partnered with Metal Injection to premiere the intense, thought-provoking music video for their brand new single, "Lost." The song and video, which was once again created by Guilherme Henriques, can be found below!

Mastermind Justin Greaves comments on the track: "As the quote goes from Belinda’s lyrics ‘The dangerous nature of an ignorant mind, the final fall for mankind.’ This line stands out to represent our feelings on the subject of global and human decline.

"Generally people know more of what happens in the world than they’re willing to face, instead they turn away and choose to ignore things that are uncomfortable or inconvenient. Well, we’d like to invite those people to be aware and maybe get some fucking empathy!

"As for the song itself, Belinda really took the bull by the horns and wrote some of her best lyrics ever, and her delivery is perfect, along with Vincent who adds his powerful voice to the song. You can hear both voices with genuine emotions. More...

Rusty Eye Announces New Album

LA-based Mexican traditional metal trio Rusty Eye have released "This Is Permanent," the first single taken from their new album, "Dissecting Shadows," set for release 23rd October via Blood Blast.

Premiered via Metal Injection, watch the video to "This Is Permanent" below.

Imagine a summer Saturday midnight-massacre movie, in a crusty old theatre on the wrong side of town, as Lemmy’s ghost shovels fistfuls of your popcorn, Jerry Only kicks your seat, and Steve Harris hammers away on the old organ, and you’ll begin to understand what Rusty Eye represent.

A fierce trio formed in Mexico City, who’ve made Hollywood their home, Rusty Eye take heavy metal storytelling to new heights of cinematic glory, passionately blending seemingly disparate styles into a unique mosaic, devoid of easy-to-spot seams. Theatrical epics and pissed off rock n’ roll collide. The Rusty Eye sound gobbles up prog, thrash, punk, blackened death, and synthwave, all squeezed through a keyhole of grindhouse grime that utterly defies simplified classifications. At the core of Rusty Eye are essential elements - “the three Ms” - Misfits, Motörhead, and Maiden. More...

Vocalist Helmuth states: "We originally composed this album around 1998-1999, recording and releasing in the year 2000. Our former guitarist Sigurd (1993-2006) who marched with me around the globe wrote three songs on this monster. The band have re-recorded the song "Necrodaemon Terrorsathan". This digital only single will be released on September 18th - more information to be revealed soon.

Helmuth adds: "20 years later and we´re still here, stronger than ever. I originally composed this song around 1998-1999, tracking and releasing it in 2000. This was a thrilling experiment for me, to have the horde to listen to how 'Necrodaemon Terrorsathan' would sound if we had created the track with our skills and recording capabilities in the present era."
