Bodysnatcher Posts New Music Video Online
Hotly-tipped US deathcore group Bodysnatcher have unleashed their brutal new video "Wired For Destruction," taken from their long-anticipated album, "Bleed-Abide," on 22nd April via MNRK Heavy. You can check it out below.
Elaborates guitarist Kyle Carter of the band’s latest bruiser, "‘Wired For Destruction’ lyrically was inspired by our drummer Chris Whited and expanded on by me. For me, it represents the common fear of being forgotten after death. It also touches on the fear of not having control and doubting every action you take. The name says it all really. Death, sickness, and most fears hold a lot of us back from living our life how we really want to, so we thought it was an important topic to talk about." More...
Seven Kingdoms Signs With Distortion Music
Seven Kingdoms have signed a worldwide record deal with Distortion Music Group for the release of Zenith.
Raising over $50,000, Seven Kingdoms successfully crowdfunded all associated costs with creating "Zenith." During the crowdfunding period, Seven Kingdoms was approached by Distortion Music Group. DMG is a new boutique record label helmed by industry veteran and Juno Award Winner, Maurizio Iacono (Kataklysm, Ex Deo). Iacono has also helped build two thriving touring agencies: Continental Touring in North America and Decibel Touring in Europe, giving Distortion Music Group a big advantage in developing musical careers through the touring outlet. Distortion Music Group aims to serve artist needs and create a partnership that benefits everyone involved in this ever-changing musical climate.
DMG CEO Maurizio Iacono comments on the signing: "Today we are proud to announce the signing of Orlando area heroes Seven Kingdoms to the Distortion Music Group family! I watched Camden & Sabrina's dedication and hard work growing the Seven Kingdoms name and music to new heights during the last few years. I was impressed with their support performances during the latest Unleash the Archers tour where the band showed a growing fanbase and a killer live show! After hearing the new album, it was a no-brainer for us to give the band the needed help to get them to the next level. Stand by for an adventurous melodic power metal ride that will rock your world!"
7K guitarist Camden Cruz says, "We are very excited to announce this new partnership with DMG. We were approached by Maurizio about his new label and their new model that allows a band like us to still retain our current working DIY Financing Model - but gaining the power of having a label behind you in promotion. This is basically a distribution partnership where DMG is responsible for getting our CD and Digital releases promoted and released into the worldwide chain again. This is something we lacked as an independent artist. DMG will be pressing and selling our CD. The band will be pressing and selling the vinyl, directly, and we were able to use crowdfunding and handle our own finances until we need to put CDs into the food chain. This is where DMG comes in. Maurizio has been influential in many big bands’ successes, and we are thrilled to open new doors with DMG’s guidance, experience, and push. We will sign the first 400 CDs we receive from DMG and these will be used to send to our backers! We are very excited for this year as we have so many things on the table. Maurizio has already helped us quite a bit, but it's very cool that we get to take that next step forward with his team at DGM / Hard Impact. The future holds a lot of new and amazing opportunities for Seven Kingdoms, and we couldn’t be more excited!"
"Zenith" was recorded at Morrisound Recording in Tampa, FL, and 8 Arms Audio in Orlando, FL during the summer and fall of 2021. The record was mixed and mastered by Jim Morris at Morrisound Recording in November of 2021. The cover art was done by Jan Yrlund (Battle Beast, Korpiklaani, Windrose).
"Zenith" is scheduled to be released worldwide in June via Distortion Music Group.
Malevolence Releases New Music Video
Last month, Malevolence announced their highly anticipated new album "Malicious Intent" (out 20th May) with blazing first single 'On Broken Glass', marking their place amongst metal’s heavyweights. With an impressive set of tour dates on the horizon alongside the record of their career, 2022 is inevitably Malevolence's year.
Today, the Sheffield 5-piece have delivered a decisive smackdown in the form of their crushing second single, 'Life Sentence'. Accompanied by Daniel Priess’ brainchild video concept, "Life Sentence" is another punishing masterpiece from these Steel-City savages.
Malevolence front-man Alex Taylor stated:
"Anyone that has followed us for a while knows that Malevolence is capable of delivering a fairly wide spectrum of different sounds. Sometimes we want to write ballads, sometimes we want to write big choruses and sometimes we want to write songs that make you want to smash everything in your house to pieces. One of the hardest, darkest and most aggressive tracks from Malicious Intent, Life Sentence is dedicated to anyone that thought we had gone soft!" More...
Dee Snider Reworks Song For Ukraine
Legendary heavy metal vocalist DEE SNIDER recently announced his steadfast support of the people of Ukraine using Twisted Sister's "We're Not Gonna Take It" as their battle cry anthem, and within just days, became heavily involved at the forefront of World United Live. The platform operates with the goal of raising awareness that may otherwise be shielded from the Russian people, to digitally, simultaneously protest in support of Ukraine, and to eventually coordinate the world's largest aid concert to help them rebuild.
Today, in support of World United Live's initiatives and the people of Ukraine, DEE SNIDER released a brand new, re-worked music video for his Leave A Scar track "Stand", specially renamed "Stand (with Ukraine)". The video, featuring various pieces of current sourced footage, can be viewed here via www.worldunited.live now.
Dee Snider tells the story in his own words:
"About a month ago, someone on social media told me people in Ukraine were using Twisted Sister's 'We're Not Gonna Take It' as a battle cry and asked if I was cool with it. Of course I was. My response elicited someone asking me why I was okay with Ukrainians using my song and not some other groups. I won't repeat my exact response (it was a bit political), but that tweet went internationally viral. Every news agency in the world suddenly wanted to talk to me.
"At that very moment, some great people (who were all friends of mine) were hatching the idea for World United Live and asked me if I would spearhead the organization. How could I say no? Since then, we have been beating the drum for the free world to come together, not only in support of Ukraine and condemnation of Putin, but in sending a message to the Russian people that they are misinformed and not being told the truth. Now, with the help of the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger and many others, we are doing just that!
"About a week ago, it hit me that the song 'Stand' from my last Napalm Records album, 'Leave A Scar,' fit the crisis in Ukraine perfectly... but I had already released a video for 'Stand' recently. Yet I just couldn't get around how well the lyrics resonated with Putin's attack on these innocent people. Ukraine was the furthest thing from my mind when I wrote the words for that song, yet it was like I had done just that. So, I had a couple of incredibly talented people (Scott Pitek and Steve Sage Goldberg) cut together a new video using some live concert footage and news clips. The result is devastating. Please watch and share 'Stand (With Ukraine)' and join us at www.worldunited.live. Help save the world. Together we can."
Evergrey Shares "Midwinter Calls" Video
After breaking the charts worldwide with Escape of the Phoenix (2021), Gothenburg’s finest export of darkness, Evergrey, enters a bewildering new chapter with their new album, "A Heartless Portrait (The Orphean Testament)," out May 20, 2022 via Napalm Records.
With the previously released, pounding album opener "Save Us," Evergrey lifted the curtain on an overwhelming journey through progressive heaviness and searing emotionality. Today, glistening second single "Midwinter Calls" draws the listener further into this multifaceted world of sound with its grooving instrumentation, flowing between boisterous dynamics and a next level vocal performance by mastermind Tom S. Englund - one of the most distinctive vocalists in metal. The powerful track gleams with its melodic tunes and guitar riffs and marks just one out of many highlights of the new epos. The song features atmospheric audio recordings from the band’s latest tour through Sweden, giving the song a special effect and fans another opportunity to leave their everlasting mark on Evergrey history.
"Midwinter Calls" is visually brought to live via a sophisticated, cinematic music video, filmed by Patric Ullaeus and conceptually connected to the storyline portrayed in the "Save Us" video, allowing the viewer to jump even deeper into the universe of A Heartless Portrait (The Orphean Testament).
Evergrey on "Midwinter Calls":
"'Midwinter Calls' is the second song but also the second chapter of a three-video story that reveals itself in a reverse order, why make it easy huh?
"This song is full of energy and it's once again featuring our fans and the live audience of Gothenburg, Stockholm and Karlstad - Co-creating at its best! We can't wait to hear the whole world singing along to this when we play it live!
"Hopefully you will find the video both thought provoking and uplifting at the same time. What is important, who are we and why? The resistance is getting real!" More...

Iron Savior Releases New Lyric Video
Iron Savior has released a new lyric video for iconic anthem "Heavy Metal Never Dies." The album "The Landing" is out now on Vinyl on AFM Records.
The 10th Anniversary Edition of "The Landing," the band’s classic and most successful album, out now on Vinyl. In support of its 10th anniversary, German power metal force Iron Savior released a special edition of their 2011-classic album The Landing on November 19, 2021. Finally, the record is now also available on Vinyl through AFM Records!
"The Landing" became one of the most successful albums of the Hamburg-based band and was heralding a kind of resurgence for Iron Savior back then. It contains several classic tracks such as "Starlight", "Hall Of The Heroes" and - of course - the metal hymn par excellence, "Heavy Metal Never Dies" – a song which was streamed way more than 10.000.000 times until this day.
"We are absolutely thrilled about this very special release.“ Guitarist and vocalist Piet Sielck comments. "It’s hard to believe that it’s been 10 years already since “The Landing” came out, a true milestone in the history of Iron Savior. This tenth anniversary special edition with its subtile enhancements brings the timeless classics like “The Savior”, “Starlight” or the anthem “Heavy Metal Never Dies” with even more power and sparkle to your ears. Also check out the small changes and improvements of the reworked cover art. And now finally all this is available ON VINYL as well with “only” 5 months of delay." More...
Greenleaf Signs With Magnetic Eye Records
Greenleaf have inked a deal with Magnetic Eye Records. The veteran desert rockers will finally be returning to detonate stages around Europe this year, and have already started to gather hot ideas for their next full-length to be released via the label.
Greenleaf comment: "Signing a new record deal with Magnetic Eye was a pretty easy decision for us", writes vocalist Arvid Hällagård. "We already knew them to be good people who do this for the love of heavy music, which is exactly the only kind of people that we want to work with. With them by our side, we feel that we can continue to do what we do in harmony with our label. This is something you won't find every day."
Jadd Shickler welcomes Greenleaf: "I almost don't know where to begin in expressing my incredible pleasure at this signing", tells the Magnetic Eye director. "I've known guitarist and founder Tommi for more than 20 years, and I've been a fan of every band and project he's been part of. Yes, I liked Greenleaf when they were his low-pressure side project, but when they transformed into a proper band with the 'Trails and Passes' album, it was a 'holy crap' moment, because they instantly became one of my absolute favorite heavy rock outfits on earth, and have remained so ever since. Saying how pleased we are to welcome Greenleaf to the Magnetic Eye roster is a supreme understatement!"
Greenleaf have already announced a set of live dates in Europe including Hellfest. Please see below for a list of currently confirmed shows.
