Redshark Posts New Lyric Video Online
"Mars Recall" is the second single from Digital Race, the first full-length of Spanish heavy/speed metal band, Redshark. The lyrics and music were inspired by some sci-fi movies and books and spoke about someone remembering a space mission, in a big galactic war, after his return from Mars to the Earth. The open end of this story is inspired by Roy Batty's final speech in Blade Runner: "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe..."
Redshark was founded in 2012 in Barcelona, Spain by Philip Graves (guitar) with the aim of delivering classic pounding heavy speed metal. Their traditional 80s metal influences may plunder the nostalgia circuit but Redshark are ruthlessly carrying the torch with great attitude, and powerful melodic songwriting.
Their new album, "Digital Race," was recorded in 2021 and will see a release at the end of March. It was produced by Jaume Perna (Jack Dark) and mixed & mastered by Gonzalo Vivero in In The Red Audio. Cover art was made by Jose Antonio Vives. More...
Syberia Reveals New Album Details
Having leaned in the direction of post-metal on 2019’s Seeds Of Change, SYBERIA have enthusiastically embraced the genre on fourth album Statement On Death. Transcending their origins as an instrumental rock band, they show many more sides to their songwriting without losing their unique signature sound. Comprised of five riveting tracks spread across 42 minutes, it covers a lot of musical ground, but never once do they lose the attention of the listener, taking them through numerous textured sonic peaks and valleys in beautiful style. “On each album we try not to repeat ourselves and look for things that we haven’t done so far,” states the band.
“When we start songwriting, we never do it following a specific plan. We always compose according to what we have heard at that time, normally we record riff ideas individually and take them to the rehearsal room. Once there, we assemble the pieces of the puzzle to find the desired song, and the result this time is a record that is darker than our previous ones but with the same bright moments.”
Statement On Death will be available on all digital platforms, CD digipak, and vinyl on May 6th.
Tracklisting:
1. Stolen Childhood
2. Ain't.Care.About.Bullets.
3. Breathe
4. Nothing Inside
5. No Frames to Remember Them More...
1914 Cancels European Tour Dates
Ukrainian death/doom metal band 1914 has announced that, understandably, they have decided to cancel their headlining tour across the United Kingdom, as well as the their slot on the Napalm Over Europe tour with Konvent and Hiraes. A statement from the band reads as follows:
"Hello everyone,
"We think this is obvious but we had to reach out to our fans and supporters around the world with the official tour cancellation statement. With the fucking russian invasion to Ukraine it is impossible for us as the band to go and play abroad, not because of the travelling restrictions but because our place is here right now, with our kids, families, with Ukrainian people. We promise - when the war ends with the victory of Ukraine, when we banish last russian motherfucker from Ukrainian soil - we will again go and play a badass tour around Europe and will meet our friends and will drink the finest moonshine and will celebrate life once again! But for now we have a lot to do and our thoughts are here.
"Glory to Ukraine!
"Glory to Heroes!
"Russian warship - go fuck yourself!" More...
