The band comments: "This is without a doubt the most accessible release by In The Woods… yet. Lyrically, existential and philosophical themes are at the fore ; Elements of psychedelia, alienation and loss interweave, leaving the listener in no doubt that In The Woods… seek to advance their own understanding of the esoteric and transcendental, if were it not already obvious to the listener through the music."

VI commented: "Being a part of this split along with Temple of Baal and The Order Of Apollyon was an opportunity for us to release a new single track. Darkher Announces "Realms" Album
Atmospheric doom artist Darkher will release her debut full-length LP, "Realms," on August 19th via Prophecy Productions. The label comments:
"Darkher is an intriguing, haunting trip through the mind and spirit of U.K. artist Jayn H. Wissenberg, a charismatic West Yorkshire-based vocalist / songwriter whose powerful, captivating music is characterized by slowly building storm clouds of guitars and haunting, spine-tingling vocals.
"Creating extraordinarily dark music full of contrasts, including both chilling loneliness and the warmth of hope, the sound of Darkher is veined by both an unsettling atmosphere of encroaching dread and a deep, otherworldly confidence.
"Realms features nine distinctive, dynamic and dramatic tracks that are impossible to resist. Songs such as the sternly imploring 'Moths,' the driving 'Wars,' with its signature drum march, or the sinister, unfathomable 'Buried' or 'Foregone' may be mentioned as cornerstones of an album that, due to its quality and diversity, bears the potential earmarks of a future classic.
"Lyrically, 'Realms' mirrors the ominous, awe-inspiring character of the music; the tales on the album lie somewhere between this sphere and the unseen worlds before and beyond. Darkher songs reveal Wissenberg's relationship with fear, death and spirituality, and question how love can connect souls from past, present and future." More...

New Tool Tracks Reportedly 12+ Minutes Each
People are still apparently insisting a new Tool album is coming, despite the very loud silence on that subject from the band, and today some quasi-but-not-really-actual news comes online!
Some seriously third part info has hit the digital airwaves (heaven forbid the band actually update the fans in any significant way) that Team Rock reports that Melvins' member Buzz Osborne says all the tracks on this supposed album are 12+ minutes long.
According to the report, Osborne said: "they haven’t even started recording yet, but Adam [Jones, Tool guitarist] told me the shortest song they’ve been working on is twelve minutes long."
In other words, none of this actually from the band, and its probably all nonsense, but because every other site on the net jumped on it as actual news we have to post about it as well to keep you rumor-mongering drama queens happy.
In other news, an autobiography that will shed no new light on any upcoming material is on the way from Maynard James Keenan, and if you fancy hearing years old songs you can catch the band at Voodoo Fest later this year.

3Teeth Launches New Single
L.A. industrial metal outfit 3Teeth launched new single "Degrade" online today before it drops on iTunes tomorrow. The track will appear on the upcoming 3Teeth sophomore album "shutdown.exe," due out this fall on OMF Records.
Vocalist Alexis Mincolla tells Billboard that the new single is about "power dynamics and mankind's seemingly infinite capacity to degrade each other.
He goes on to say, "There are an infinite amount socially constructed dogmas that people latch on to out of fear, that in turn create an infinite amount of divides between mankind. Now mix that up with a world of depleting resources and you get what's called a tragedy of the commons, and self-interest reigns supreme and greed, degradation and bottom-line thinking become not only acceptable, but in some places encouraged." Speaking about the new song, vocalist Tanner Murphy says: “You have the choice to run away from anything, but that thing won't go away until you stop and face it."
Following 2014's full-length release "Block Out The Sun & Sleep," new album "The Brighter View" was recorded by Derek Hofman and produced by Andrew Neufelf of Comeback Kid. The new song also comes just days before the band kicks off the Common Vision tour with The Acacia Strain, Oceano, Knocked Loose and Culture Killer that will run from July 7th to August 13th. Deadlock Suffers From The "Backstory Wound"
Germany's Deadlock has returned with the new album "Hybris,"expected for release on July 8th via Napalm Records (pre-order the album now at this location). Today, the band teams up with Metal Underground.com to present the music video for the new track "Backstory Wound."
Deadlock have always been about extremes – and always will be! Fans love these Germans for every emotional force run through the raging depths of death metal, technical prowess, borderline pop-laden melodies, nods to classic metal, and casual flirtation with trance and beats. As expected, "Hybris" turns out to be a multi-faceted monster in terms of both shape and content – and at the same time painfully digs through the last events in the Deadlock camp.
Despite the tragic death of founder and drummer Tobias Graf (immortalized with a minute of silence on the album) and the departure of singer Sabine Scherer (now replaced by Margie Gerlitz), the megalomaniac creative urge could not be suppressed: 2016 sees Deadlock rising from the ashes, scarred, but heads held high. "Hybris" finds its inseparable counterpart in a 90 min DVD documentary 'The Longest Road' that translates the album concept to visuals. A gripping and blunt rollercoaster ride that sees light in the blackest night – and that is something only Deadlock can achieve!
The track listing for "Hybris" is:
1. Epitaph
2. Carbonman
3. Berserk (check out the music video here)
4. Blood Ghost
5. Hybris
6. Wrath / Salvation
7. Backstory Wound
8. Ein Deutsches Requiem
9. Vergebung
10. Welcome Deathrow

12. Fight Song (Bonus Track) More...
