Stream the new video clip, directed by David Ledbetter, in the player below. Commented Devanation vocalist Jacob Shaw:

"'Suffering Bay' is a piece of the concept album story of our debut full-length Dominion of Oblivion. In this 'chapter,' a man, nearing the end of his journey through the Dominion, is confronted by the evil spirit that has assumed the form of his wife. I won't give away any more!

"Our director David Ledbetter and I worked really hard on this one, making sure that it stayed as close to the story of the album as possible, while also being fun to watch. It's difficult to say, but I think this is my favorite video I've ever been a part of."

With the release of the new video, Devanation is also excited to announce the addition of lead guitarist Francis "Pacey" Abramczyk. "Pacey has been a good friend for years now - we did a tour together a few years back," said Shaw. "When we brought him out to jam with us, it just clicked. I'm really excited about it." More...

Oddland Announces "Origin" Album

Sensory Records has confirmed the street date and other official release info for "Origin," the intense label debut album by Finnish progressive metal legion Oddland.

Oddland's second album, "Origin" was partly recorded by the band, the rest captured at Fantom Studio (Insomnium, Korpiklaani, Oranssi Pazuzu) after which it was mixed and mastered by Daniel Bergstrand (Meshuggah, In Flames, Dimmu Borgir).

Containing over forty-five minutes of music, the album bears a theme which ties deeply into the lyrics and extensive artwork, with a separate piece of art created by Egyptian artist Mohammed Essam for each of the nine songs.

"We didn't really know what was in store when we started writing songs for 'Origin,'" issues the band. "Creating this album took us way longer than we first imagined. We had an initial vision of what we wanted 'Origin' to be, but it really took time to get there. Every song went through an endless set of revisions before they were finished. We feel have expanded and evolved Oddland's sound with 'Origin:' it is low and it is heavy, but the rhythms and melodies are still what carry the songs. Lyrically the album is tied together by the idea that the lyrics represent our origin: what has made us what we are - individually and collectively. Mohammad really contributed into making the ideas and atmospheres of the songs come to life visually. We can't wait for people to experience the album."

Laser's Edge subdivision Sensory Records will release "Origin" worldwide on September 9th. More expansive previews of the album will be presented through audio and visual samples in the weeks leading to its unveiling. More...

Blackmore Releases "72" Video

Blackmore is poised to make waves with upcoming album "Neo," due out this July. Primarily made up of Armenian-American members, Blackmore is fronted by Greek lead vocalist K'noup of global rock artists Viza. K'noup has spent years touring alongside bands such as Serj Tankian (System of a Down), Skindred, and Gogol Bordello.

Today, Blackmore is thrilled to revea a heavy-hitting new music video for the track "72", produced and directed by Noel Ross. In reference to the video, vocalist K'noup states, "72" was filmed in a warehouse in downtown LA during the late hours, capturing the raw energy the band brings forth."

K'noup is glad to see the fruits of the band's labor, having recently joined as a new member. "We came together when I was asked to track vocals for a compilation concept album shortly after Blackmore's former singer had to leave. What we created thereafter was the track 'Tsunami.' Combichrist Posts "My Life My Rules" Video

Combichrist just launched a music video for the track "My Life My Rules," taken from the band's new album "This is Where Death Begins." Stream the (NSFW) clip, directed by Jason Alacrity, in the player below.

"I was really excited to work with the band again after the 'Maggots' video, and excited to work in black and white this time," Alacrity told Bloody Disgusting. "I grew up being heavily inspired by the classic Universal monster movies and silent era films like Haxan: Witchcraft through the Ages. I feel the opening scene in the woods and the fire dancing shots during the ritual are reflective of this.

"The setting of the murder ritual came from the song title 'My Life My Rules.' Rules are customs, disciplines and often times rituals. And shooting in the rural south, the idea of the snake handlers and faith healers seemed to make sense - some backwoods weirdos creating their own 'Frankenstein's monster' of religions." More...

"This video encompasses true despair and melancholy in a variety of ways," comments vocalist Nameless. "'Happyhouse' is the track most resembling classic DSBM on the album. It is stripped down and minimalist and so we created something fitting and dreary for the music video."
