Lamb Of God Awarded Gold Certification Plaques
This past Tuesday, May 17th, Lamb Of God was awarded RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) gold certification plaques for the breakout 2004 Epic Records release, "Ashes Of The Wake."
The album was certified gold this past February for sales in excess of 500,000. The plaques were presented by Epic Records Senior Vice President of Marketing Scott Carter to the entire band at the Paramount in Huntington, NY just prior to the band's sold out performance.
Guitarist Mark Morton offers his thoughts on the RIAA certification: "Wow, a gold record in the US! These types of milestones always leave me astounded. When we started this band in a little Richmond, VA basement, we honestly never even dreamed that we would tour all over the world, see so many places and reach so many people with our music.
"I remain amazed and humbled when I think about the experiences and opportunities I've had the chance to be a part of over the course of our career. It is nothing short of an honor to know that our words and music have touched so many people's lives.
"Thank You to the Lamb Of God fans... each and every one of you. While this achievement is very special to us, even more cherished is the opportunity to have an outlet for our music and a loyal fan base all over the world that makes us feel at home everywhere we go. Thank you!"
Lamb Of God is currently headlining a North American tour with renowned rockers Clutch and heavy metal veterans Corrosion of Conformity. More...

Paranoid Signs With Southern Lord
Southern Lord welcomes Swedish d-beat hardcore unit Paranoid to the label's roster, issuing the band's "Satyagraha" album on CD June 10th and on LP July 1st. Additionally, the band is about to raid the North America on the Jawbreaking Mangel Devastation West Coast Tour 2016 with Absolut. Southern Lord comments:
"Comprised of ten biting and unremitting sonic assaults, Paranoid's 2015 album 'Satyagraha' offers up a diverse yet essential dose of D-beat. Finding itself on an array of end-of-year lists, and stealing the No.1 spot on CVLT Nation's Top Six D-Beat Releases Of 2015, this album demanded the band's full fury and whole souls. Therefore, you are implored to listen at maximum volume to ensure 'Satyagraha' burns into your psychosis!
"'Satyagraha' is the first full-length album by Paranoid, the album recorded in Empire Studio, Frösön, Sweden, between December 2014 and February 2015. Engineering and production duties came from Jocke D-takt, with the album mixed and mastered at Noise Room, Tokyo, Japan by Shigenori Kobayashi.

Judas The Dancer Posts New Video
Italian bizarro post-metal group Judas The Dancer just launched a lyric video for the song “Maradona Talking Heads,” taken from the band’s upcoming EP release "Post Pop Violence." The video is directed by Viscera Visions, and is available below.
The band previously commented that the story of “Maradona Talking Heads” is a “criticism to our country where mediocrity often prevails; it thrives behind an absurd sense of superiority, derived from our glorious past… which is just that: past.”
Talking further about what inspired the title of the song and the story, Judas The Dancer states: “When movie director Paolo Sorrentino was called on the stage to receive his (well deserved) Oscar, he pronounced a rather scarce speech, basically a silly list of far-fetched sources of inspiration. When we heard that, we thought it was a perfect portrayal of the typical Italian attitude: always try to be easy going and enjoyable, often giving up the chance to do or say something useful, important. The title of our song resonates with that exact attitude.
“If we really wanted to trace this attitude down our past history (meaning our tendency to always justify ourselves for our faults instead of facing them), we'd have plenty of clichés to tell. The only truth, though, is our country has been stuck for a while now... Old fashions, old habits. We have lived on inherited glory for too long and now that we're getting short of it we try to replace it with smoke and tricks. Just like this answer, see? Smoky and quite empty (we, as Italians, must be biased after all)."

Dust Bolt Gives You An "Allergy"
It's only been five years since Southern Germans Dust Bolt won the W:O:A Metal Battle 2011 – five years the band used to transform from hot newcomer into national thrash hero with the debut "Violent Demolition"! The "Bay Area aficionados" are ready to drop the third full length album in shape of "Mass Confusion" now, and relentless touring plus constant fine-tuning of the typical Dust Bolt sound have finally paid off: the old school songwriting is focused and free of ballast weight, yet despite all the rage and aggression there is still plenty of breathing space for melodic guitar work, gang shouts and ten ton grooves.

Mussorgski To Release Third Album This Month
On May 31st, Godz Ov War Productions will release the long-awaited third album by the Mussorgski project, this time entitled "Creatio Cosmicam Bestiae." The record contains eight premiere tracks which disturbingly mix alienated industrial, dark metal and cold ambient.
Both musically and lyrically wise, the new material is much different from previous accomplishments of Khorzon, primarily known from the black metal Arkona. The compositions are definitely more complex and spacious, there are more orchestrated parts that provide the tracks with a solemn yet apocalyptic atmosphere. Original melodies play an important role too, providing the whole stuff somewhat assimilable, hit nature at times. Undoubtedly, Creatio Cosmicam Bestiae is the most experimental yet the most balanced and mature Mussorgski's work. Khorzon takes us on a nearly one hour long journey to his own, inhuman world, where he tries to tame the omnipresent Chaos, to find the magic Katharsis, and to explore the nature of the Universe.
The album was recorded at the Church of Chaos Studio. The cover was designed by Mentalporn, and the layout was developed by Marckus.
The track list is:
1. Gaaya - The Planet Of The Dead
2. God Is In The Neurons
3. Stellar Core
4. Sabbathum In Perpetuum
5. Key To The Universe
6. Inverted Aeon
7. Implanted Consciousness

Visionary Announces Debut Full Length "Gabriel"
Visionary is not your typical rock band playing your typical rock record. Everything has to have a beginning, and Visionary is the beginning of a multiple-sided quest. Ultimately aimed at the understanding of the “Greater design”, this is a quest that comprehends musical, personal, philosophical and spiritual research.
Visionary is the brain child of guitarist/composer Gabriel (Gabriel Gianelli), who’s been very clear about his interests in discovering, understanding, and “musicalizing” the human journey to the realization of his connection to everything that exists.
The band has released its first EP in October 2015 and self-promoted it through social media with great feedback from several countries. "Pharaoh's Phoenix" has also been released as single and video. After having signed a deal with Bakerteam Records, Visionary are going to release the full length debut album "Gabriel" on July 22nd, 2016.
This is how Gabriel envisions the project: “I see Visionary’ as the communication vehicle that I’ve embraced to push people into observing the beauty of life from a different perspective."
More information on the album is expected soon. More...
