Venom Inc. Gears Up For North American Tour

On the heels of a North American tour earlier this year, Venom Inc. - featuring Mantas, Abaddon and The Demolition Man - will cross the pond again for a headlining tour beginning May 31st.

Comprised of the founding members and main songwriter from the legendary Venom, Venom Inc. carries the name forward with the integrity and merciless aural assault that made Venom the forefathers of an entire genre.

"North America is an amazing place to travel," said The Demolition Man, Tony Dolan. "The people, the food, the beauty, the diversity, the warmth....but for us the best of all...our fans, the legions!!! ALL HAIL and this one is just for you!"

The seeds of Venom Inc. were planted when guitarist Mantas - the man who unknowingly coined name of a future genre when "Black Metal" was released in the early 1980s - and bassist/frontman The Demolition Man, dusted off some Venom classics while playing with their band M:pire of Evil. Drummer Abaddon soon began joining the pair for a full-on reunion, and Venom Inc. was born.

"It's an honor to be invited to play anywhere," The Demolition Man said, "but to be fortunate to play a month-long tour and then be invited back to play another whole month is humbling!" More...

Unmerciful Announces New Album

Kansas death metal squad Unmerciful will drop the devious fruits of a new full-length album this summer (July 22nd, 2016) via Unique Leader Records.

Titled "Ravenous Impulse," the record features the drum demolition of John Lonstreth (Dim Mak, Origin, ex-Gorguts etc.). Comments Unmerciful guitarist Clint Appelhanz (ex-Origin):

"It's been ten years since the release of Unmercifully Beaten and we've had an up and down ride through the years. We are proud to announce the release of Ravenous Impulse to mark a new time for the band. Ravenous Impulse features a collaboration of song writing styles from [bassist] Jeremy [Turner; ex-Origin], [guitarist] Justin [Payne] and myself.

"Coupled with John Lonstreth's approach to drums and Kris [Bolton; D.F.W.B.]'s vocal delivery, we feel that our sound is in a new place while still maintaining the band's identity. Concepts behind most of the lyrical content mainly deal with violent instinct and diabolical human behaviors. We feel these subjects and themes are more realistic and relative to everyday society and more terrifying. Expect a classic death metal sound with modern speed."

1. Unmerciful
2. Abscission
3. Ravenous Impulse
4. Sociopathic Predation
5. Kill Reflex
6. Habitual Savagery
7. Enduring Torture

DGM Reveals New Album "The Passage"

Frontiers Music Srl is excited to announce the release of the brand new album from Italian prog metal masters DGM, entitled “The Passage," on August 26th. Check out the EPK video clip for the album below.

“The Passage” is DGM’s eighth studio album and is the culmination of almost 20 years of hard work that started back in 1997 with the release of their self-produced mini-album, "Random Access Zone." The band went through several incarnations and lineup changes during the years, but since singer Mark Basile joined the group in 2007, DGM evolved and developed their sound into what they have now become.

It was probably the release of "Frame" (2007) that pushed the band into the top of the league of international progressive metal. It was also on the strength of this material that DGM managed to tour for almost four years around the world, taking part in some of the biggest metal festivals, supporting Symphony X on their European tour, and sharing the stage with Pagan's Mind too. In 2013, DGM came back with "Momentum", an album which showed the full stylistic maturity of a band which felt fully confident with its abilities, both on the songwriting and the musicianship side. The last album was promoted with more shows and after several gigs in Europe, and the band performed for the second time at ProgPower USA and started their first Asian tour in November 2014 playing Beijing, Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka as headliners.
