Encinitas, CA psychedelic heavy rock champions Sacri Monti have signed to NYC's Tee Pee Records.
The five-piece, which features drummer Thomas Dibenedetto of Joy and Radio Moscow bassist Anthony Meier in its ranks, will drop a self-titled debut on July 24th. Tee Pee Records comments:
"Boasting a sound best described as a mix of early 70's underground hard rock, with psychedelic and krautrock elements, Sacri Monti joins a blooming Tee Pee roster that includes fellow San Diego associates Harsh Toke, Joy and the genre's founding fathers, Earthless.
"Roughly translated as 'Sacred Mountains,' Sacri Monti blazes a scorching trail of superb shredding and smoldering riff-o-rama on their impending debut. The record is a searing smorgasbord of muscular rock that boils '70s guitar rock down to its purest essence while simultaneously skyrocketing a pathway towards the future of molten heavy psych.
"Fingers bleed, eardrums implode and craniums collapse when Sacri Monti ranks up its bitchin', blistering buzz. Tune in, turn it up and BURN!!"
The album's track listing is:
1. Staggered in Lies
2. Glowing Grey
3. Slipping from the Day
4. Sitting Around in a Restless Dream

Although seemingly an orthodox black metal band, France's The Negation is more than meets the eye and will release new album "Memento Mori" worldwide via Kaotoxin Records on July 10th. A new teaser clip is now available below. This time it's war! The record label also comments:
"Kaotoxin would like to clarify the artistic concept behind The Negation, which is featuring tyrants speeches and images, from both the left and right wing in these videos.
"Kaotoxin is not, and nor is The Negation, supporting any politics or ideology and 'Memento Mori' is a call to resistance for the so-called 'weak' to resist, fight, crush and destroy the so-called 'elite,' might they be tyrants, politicians, bankers or whoever, and stand against all kind of physical or spiritual enslavement. They are few, we are billions and they can't win. Resist, fight and crush them 'till the last one cries for the pity we won't have.
"The last track of the album is a concept based on this statement. Two left-wing tyrants (Mao and Stalin) speeches are featured on the left ear channel while two right-wing tyrants (Hitler and Goebbels) are featured on the right ear channel. The listener consequently stands in the middle and triumphs, being the only one in the end when the four speeches end." More...

Blut & Eisen Productions is proud to present the third album from one of black metal's brightest/darkest hopes: Barshasketh's "Ophidian Henonis" will drop on July 30th.

Today the Norwegian black-thrash commando Deathhammer premieres new track "Satan is Back" online - headbang away through the player below.
The track hails from Deathhammer's expression of "Evil Power," to be released on June 30th via Hells Headbangers on CD, vinyl LP, and cassette tape formats. The label had this to say:
"An iron-fisted statement of intent in both title and execution, 'Evil Power' proves that this Norwegian duo continue to get better with age, retaining their original youthful enthusiasm which endeared the Hells Headbangers-released 'Onward to the Pits' to so many the world over whilst pushing their songwriting toward more mature but no-less-deadly ends.
"Once again, Deathhammer are firmly committed to their blackthrashing metal here, storming with vengeance as if 1985 never ended, braving nuclear winter and eternal devastation, but make no mistake: 'Evil Power' is no repeat of past glories. Like those eternal bands who find a special sound and continue to expand it without losing their identity, Deathhammer render 'Evil Power' a rollicking ride through past, present, and future, at once rawer and more refined, more manic and also more measured - but always, always VERY METAL. Because when all is said and done, 'Evil Power' will always prevail!"
The album's track listing is as follows:
1. Warriors of Evil
2. Total Metal
3. Satan is Back
5. Sinner's Possession
6. Belial's Curse
7. Rot in Shreds

Austin rockers Scorpion Child have stepped into the studio to work on their sophomore album. The band will once again work with Chris “Frenchie” Smith, who produced and arranged the band’s self-titled, full-length debut.
Scorpion Child’s vocalist Aryn Jonathan Black had the following to say: "The band is now locked in the studio committing everything to album #2. Everyone is dressed to the 9's and it’s business time!"
Praised for “proper rock-and-roll riffage” and “unapologetic classic rock” by Clutch vocalist Neil Fallon and commended by radio & television personality Eddie Trunk for “old school spirit, kick-ass hard rock, killer riffs and vocals,” Scorpion Child's music has been played on Eddie Trunk’s live show on SiriusXM satellite radio and on Nights with Alice Cooper. Stay tuned for more info on the album, due to drop via Nuclear Blast Records.
The Florida natives from Culture Killer have signed with Metal Blade Records and are preparing to record their full-length debut album.
Previously, the band had released the "Denial" EP in 2014, and a single "Exterminate Filth" earlier this year. Today, fans can hear a brand new cut that will be appearing on their forthcoming debut. The track, "Justice Through Retaliation," is streaming below. Culture Killer will be tracking throughout June with Kenny Gil (Dark Sermon) at Pig Pen Recordings.
On signing with Metal Blade, vocalist Ian Campbell commented: "As a group of young musicians, it comes with great honor that Culture Killer is fortunate enough to be a part of the Metal Blade Family, alongside some of the most legendary and influential bands to date. We love working with everyone on the Metal Blade staff and can't wait to release our debut full-length through the label later this year!"
Drummer Dylan Blow elaborates on the topic Culture Killer tackled with the new track available below: "The song tells the story of a woman fighting a seemingly endless battle with spousal abuse. She reflects on the words and feelings that she once embraced; soon realizing that the man she loved was now her greatest fear. At the turning point of the song, she finds that her only chance of survival is to kill him.
"Domestic violence is an extremely disturbing and reoccurring reality. Sadly, many stories remain untold. Don't be afraid to speak up, don't be afraid to reach out for help, and most importantly, don't ever feel ashamed to tell your story."
More details about the upcoming album will be made available throughout the next few months. The album is expected to be released later this year. More...

The reigning kings of technical, historically-themed brutality from Nile are currently in the studio wrapping up the mix of their upcoming album "What Should Not Be Unearthed."
Produced by Nike and mixed by Neil Kernon, the album will be released August 28th, 2015 via Nuclear Blast Records. The artwork (available below) was handled this time by Michal 'Xaay' Loranc. Mastermind Karl Sanders states:
“All of us in Nile are happy to announce our upcoming newest album 'What Should Not Be Unearthed.' It’s our 8th official album, and this time we believe we have a truly crushing disc to bring to metal fans. The focus this time around is on brutally heavy metal riffing and songwriting; kind of like of an 'Annihilation Of The Wicked' approach but very streamlined to achieve maximum destructive impact. Our last record, 'At The Gates Of Sethu,' was super surgically clean and very musicianship oriented whereas the new disc is a polar opposite; 'Unearthed' is aimed straight at utter metal heaviness and memorable songwriting.
"Although 'Unearthed' is still full of the kind of undeniable musicianship people have come to expect from Nile over the years, it’s the songs themselves that will hit listeners over the head this time around. These songs will be a blast to play live, and we are stoked at the opportunity to bring these songs to metal fans everywhere. See you on tour!” More...
America’s newest neo-classic riff masters from Black Fast will release their all new LP "Terms Of Surrender" on August 7th, 2015 via eOne Music. The label comments:
"Ripping pages from Death's technical death metal guidebook, the St. Louis foursome conjures the spirit of the late, great Chuck Schuldiner while channeling the viciousness of Megadeth's young-and-hungry Dave Mustaine and blistering aggression of Kreator’s Mille Petrozza. The band tapped veteran producer Erik Rutan for the effort on their debut LP for eOne Music. Known for his work with Hate Eternal, Six Feet Under, Goatwhore, and Cannibal Corpse, Rutan was an easy choice."
"We can't wait to work with Erik Rutan! Erik is a legend." says front man Aaron Akin. "Excited doesn't even do justice to the mind frame we are in. I've followed his work for over a decade, and he's been at it for way longer than that. I mean, it's fucking Erik Rutan!"
"Black Fast has an amazing blend of heaviness and melody," says Rutan. "Their aggressive and raw style has a very unique approach and an immense energy to it. Black Fast has an interesting range of influences in their music, making it impossible to stereotype or pigeon hole. I think the recording process went fantastic and feel this is an album metal fans will truly appreciate."
New album "Terms of Surrender" will be the band's followup to the previously self-released "Starving Out The Light." Stay tuned for more details to come shortly. More...

The band will be joined by Real Friends, Counterparts, Gnarwolves, Brigades, and Gatherers. The tour will start July 23rd in Richmond, VA and wrap up August 22nd in Poughkeepsie, NY. Nick “Biggie” Grimaldi, tour producer for the Common Vision Tour, states:
“When we created the Common Vision Tour in 2014, it was to bring credible bands together on a sonically mixed bill with one common denominator: great music. Now in our second year, I think we have exceeded that goal. Being an iconic band that's paving the way for so many of their peers with their music, attitude and ethics; Every Time I Die seemed like the perfect headliner for the tour. With an amazing mix of genres under them: Real Friends, Counterparts, Gnarwolves, Brigades and Gatherers; this tour has something for everyone. I’m extremely excited and proud of this tour and cannot wait for it to kick off this Summer!”
Every Time I Die’s frontman Keith Buckley adds: “With so many multi-band tours covering so much ground these next few Summer months, it was important for us to be a part of something that would not only excite us but be able to satisfy a wide range of musical tastes. Common Vision is a perfect fit and we're honored to be headlining. Playing after so many incredible bands will be difficult, but Every Time I Die loves a challenge and if you don't believe me just imagine how hard it was for Andy Williams to slip into that speedo in the new black video all those years ago.”
Buffalo hardcore band Every Time I Die is Keith Buckley (vocals), Jordan Buckley (guitar), Andy Williams (guitar), and Stephen Micciche (bass). The band is touring in support of seventh album "From Parts Unknown." More...

"The song 'Dead Actors' is our tribute to both 90's indie rock and to the duality of the meaningfulness of conscious existence; it's self-aware almost to a fault," reveals frontman Jesse Matthewson. "We were trying to take the feeling of Slint, June Of 44, maybe a dash of Dazzling Killmen, Engine Kid, and even Soundgarden and filter it through Manitoban wheat grass. For some reason it feels very 'Canadian Prairies' to me, and I really like that."

The wait is over - after more than a 13 year hiatus, Pyogenesis is to release a new studio album on August 14th, 2015 via a freshly inked deal with AFM Records.
Flo Von Schwarz comments: "The best about metal are the people: I've known Jochen (Richert, AFM Records) for more than 20 years, and with him and the whole AFM team I made the right choice.”
AFM Records adds: "For 24 years Pyogenesis means tours and fans all around the globe, playing in front of 560,000 people in Hungary, performances at Rock am Ring /Rock im Park or Wacken and #1 in MTV’s viewer charts. Besides that, the band co-invented the genre 'Gothic metal' in the early 90s. But 24 years of Pyogenesis also means 13 years without a new album and 10 years without shows.
"Now, this break is finally over! After a sold out comeback show in Romania, the band will release a highly anticipated 6th album in summer. With 'A Century In The Curse Of Time,' the four-piece around mastermind Flo V. Schwarz are returning to their roots, recording not only the heaviest, but also the most epic and ambitious album in the band’s history. It’s their first concept album ever: The lyrical theme is about the change of society in the 19th century under the influence of the industrialization, the steam-engine, the emerging bourgeoisie and science fiction literature such as Jules Verne."
Pyogenesis will play as one of the top acts at this year‘s Summer Breeze Festival (August 12th -15th) in Dinkelsbühl/Germany. Stay tuned for more info on the coming album.
Ambient post-metallers A Light Within are proud to present a new track from the "Body Matter" EP, titled "World Through The Window."

Century Media Records is proud to announce the signing of Dead Lord from Sweden, with a mission to rock. The label had this to say:
"The band's critically acclaimed debut album, 'Goodbye Repentance,' was released in 2013 through High Roller Records. The album as well as two 7" EPs (one being a split 7" with Black Trip) gained Dead Lord a lot of attention, both from media and fans of straight forward rock.
"With the reputation of being one of the best live rock acts today, Dead Lord has played festivals like Rock Hard, Muskelrock, Getaway Rock, Hell's Pleasure, Turock Open Air, Hell Over Hammaburg and also Metal Assault and have toured with Imperial State Electric, Noctum and most recently Wolf.
One of the most unique things about Swedish outfit The Great Discord is its visual presentation. Today, the band further expands upon its intriguing and mystifying visuals with a new video for the song "The Aging Man."
The video was directed by Philip Kullgren and edited by Joakim Sjöholm, both from Pellen Productions. Check it out below. The band also comments:
"The video is a mix of a presentation of our band, and a visualization of the concept behind our song, 'The Aging Man.' The idea is that a man, facing his mortality, struggles with his impending death, here personified by Fia's stage persona. Acting as a sort of inverted Saint Peter, or Charon, she is a gatekeeper, a guide, challenging his thoughts and beliefs about what is going to happen, and forces him to face his demons and his regrets. The game of chess is a symbol for this struggle. Welcome to The Great Discord."
The Great Discord's new album "Duende" will be available worldwide through Metal Blade Records on June 2nd in North America, June 1st in the UK / Europe, and May 29th in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. More...
At long last, Deiphago - one of the most violent, envelope-pushing bands on the planet - is set to release fourth album, "Into the Eye of Satan," on August 7th via Hells Headbangers.
Each Deiphago album has seen the Filipino power-trio push the furthest reaches of musical extremity, marking a place in time in demonic development whilst creating a monument for all perpetuity.
"Into the Eye of Satan" is no different in this respect: founding demons Voltaire 666 (bass bulldozers and black vomits) and Sidapa (crasheraxe and leads) are once again joined by Savnok on deathhammers, picking up where they left off with "Satan Alpha Omega" in 2012. With this lineup now solidified, Deiphago sought to create a new, defiling standard and went in search of esteemed producer Colin Marston (Gorguts) to man the recording console.
New track "Red Dragon of Chaos" can be heard below, and the full album's track listing is as follows: More...

Metal frontman and Housecore Records founder, Philip H. Anselmo, is bringing his horror-themed film and metal festival back for a third year. After a great ride in Austin, the festival will kick off in San Antonio, Texas at the Aztec Theater on November 13th -15th, 2015.
The decision to return was driven by the desire to honor his friend and festival co-founder, Corey Mitchell, who tragically passed away last October.
Mitchell was the driving creative force behind the festival's success, and Anselmo believes there is no better way to pay tribute to his friend than to carry on for a third year. "I've got a great team in place to help make this what Corey and I wanted it to be," he says. "There are a lot of mixed emotions here because no one can replace him. But, we know he would want this to continue and so that's what we're going to do. We miss him and think about him every day."
Bands already confirmed to play are Suffocation, Autopsy, Cripple Bastards, Nails, SYk & Dalila Kayros, YOB, Eyehategod, Child Bite, Warbeast and many more to be announced soon. Maryland Deathfest co-founder Ryan Taylor will be booking bands this year and will help Anselmo craft a musical lineup that would make Mitchell proud.
In addition to showcasing the best in extreme metal, the festival will screen film gems from the personal vaults of both Anselmo and Mitchell. Horror filmmakers are encouraged to submit their films and winners will be selected in various categories and given the coveted Rot-Scar Award. "When Corey and I started this thing, it was important to us that we help independent filmmakers get their incredible work discovered," Anselmo continues. "Nothing has changed, in that respect."
Tickets to go on sale soon - stay tuned for additional announcements. More...

In 2012, Cattle Decapitation released "Monolith Of Inhumanity." Here we are, three years later, and now Cattle Decapitation and Metal Blade Records are pleased to unveil the band's magnum opus with "The Anthropocene Extinction," set for world wide release August 7th, 2015.
Bringing back "Monolith Of Inhumanity" producer Dave Otero (Allegaeon, Cephalic Carnage), Cattle Decapitation returned to Flatline Audio in Denver, Colorado, eager to revisit the close collaboration that helped bring that record to life.
"Dave is a bonafide producer," elaborates vocalist Travis Ryan. "He's got a lot of great ideas and this time we heard him out pretty religiously because making Monolith... had worked out so well. We've always kind of co-produced our records with whoever we brought in, but these last two we did a lot more listening to what he had to say rather than just sticking with what we were saying. Sometimes we shot down his ideas and vice versa, but that discussion was always beneficial. He basically becomes the fifth member of the band at that point, and I think that kind of relationship is the best way to get anything out of anybody." More...
