Scarred Recruits New Vocalist
Luxembourg-based outfit Scarred just issued the following announcement about bringing on a new vocalist:
"Hello everyone! Let's kick in the weekend with some good news alright? We would like you all to raise your glasses to Yann Dalscheid who accepted to be the new vocalist in Scarred!
"Yann is someone who has been in the Scarred family for a very long time now, we've shared the stage with the man many times, we all know him on a personal level and let's be honest he was our person of choice since we parted ways with Sacha.
"We are very happy to have him with us and are really looking forward to play our first gig with him next week. We're right now in the pain room finishing the pre-production work for our forthcoming LP and getting ready for Europavox.
"Everybody stay tuned because we are very likely to bring you even more epic news in the forthcoming weeks!" More...
Betrayal Posts "Fighting Perdition" Video
Betrayal's "Infinite Circles" is due out June 17th, 2016 via Transcending Records. A new music video has also come online for the track "Fighting Perdition," which was shot by Wasted Frames and cam e seen below. Transcending Records comments:
"Germany's Betrayal began in 2005 and have been quietly honing their sophisticated brand of technical melodic death metal. Their 2015 demo caught the attention of Transcending Records and immediately a deal was made. Their debut full length 'Infinite Circles' is as mature an offering of death metal as they come. Betrayal is sure to appeal to fans of Death, At The Gates, Behemoth, Misery Index, & Mastodon."

Black Tusk Announces Tour Dates
Savannah, GA's Black Tusk just announced the band's first ever Australia/New Zealand tour this August. The trio will be bring sludge-filled tunes to Auckland, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
The band also recently unveiled a music video for the song “God’s On Vacation” off latest album "Pillars Of Ash."

Nothing Posts "A.C.D." Video
Philadelphia's Nothing just premiered a new animated music video for the track "A.C.D. (Abscessive Compulsive Disorder)." The video is a dark homage to Dire Straits' classic "Money For Nothing" clip and can be seen below. Nothing guitarist/vocalist Domenic Palermo elaborates:
"I've been obsessing over some dark web computer animated stuff lately. Much of this is your run of the mill, awful footage that makes you remember how frail our human bodies are, but some are these odd, home-made computer animations doing strange things that give you an uneasy feeling, but also one of pure evil and chaos. I wanted to recreate that mixed with a violent/sad version of Dire Straits, 'Money For Nothing' video." More...
Mercyless Announces New Single, Album
The kvlt death metal pioneers from Mercyless will unleash a brand new (and free) digital single on June 3rd as a foretaste of what’s to come wit sixth studio full-length, “Pathetic Divinity”, which is set for release on October 7th, 2016.
The single - which will also mark the start of a year long series of celebrations for Mercyless' 30th anniversary - will be titled “Altered Divination” and feature two exclusive tracks: an edit / short version of the song “My Name Is Legion” (full version will appear on the forthcoming album) and a 2014 live recording of “Substance of Purity” (originally appearing on the 1992 debut “Abject Offerings”).
Produced at the Psykron studio (Putrid Offal, Division Alpha) and mastered at the Conkrete studio (Gorod, Otargos, Loudblast), “Pathetic Divinity” will continue the path started with 2013’s comeback album “Unholy Black Splendour." More...
The Obsessed Signs With Relapse
Relapse Records is extremely proud to announce the signing of legendary hard rock / doom metal band The Obsessed. Formed in 1976 by Scott "Wino" Weinrich (Saint Vitus, Spirit Caravan, Shrinebuilder, Probot etc.), the band recently reformed and is on the road now.
The Obsessed will enter the studio this summer to record the follow-up to 1994's seminal classic, "The Church Within." Scott "Wino" Weinrich commented on the signing and reformation of the band:

Jason Richardson Premieres New Track Playthrough
Jason Richardson (Ex-Chelsea Grin/Born Of Osiris) premieres a new track playthrough for "Omni", taken from the upcoming solo album, which will be out in stores July 29, 2016.
The Word Alive drummer Luke Holland also performs in the clip, having played the drums on the entire album.
