Noisem Inks Deal With Relapse

Relapse Records is proud to announce the signing of Baltimore, MD's Noisem, with plans for a new album in the works and studio time booked for the summer. Relapse comments:

"Formed in 2013 as teenagers, Noisem quickly established themselves as the most promising young band in extreme metal and have already graced the cover of Decibel Magazine in addition to having toured with countless heavyweights such as Carcass, Obituary, Nails, Dropdead, The Black Dahlia Murder, Gorguts, Iron Reagan and many more during their short time as a band.

"Noisem bring an incredible energy to their mix of death metal, thrash, grindcore and hardcore and have released two full-lengths and an EP via A389 Recordings. Their most recent album, Blossoming Decay, can be streamed in full below."

The band added: "We’re very excited to be able to work with everyone at Relapse. We look forward to what we’ll be able to do in the future and am glad they decided to add us to their already incredible line-up of bands.

"Without giving too much away, Noisem record C so far has come to be about the sense of memory in loss, and gain. How everything before you pass could have a never ending impact on how you are seen, but within yourself will be forgotten in an instant. You can live a dream walker, but ultimately it's all just a Cancered Delusion." More...

Bury Thy Kingdom Calls It Quits

Pittsburgh-based metal band Bury Thy Kingdom has decided to throw in the towel, but not before releasing some final music, which can be heard below. The band comments:

"Announcement day is here! It's a mixture of good and bad news. Let's start out with the bad news to get that shit out of the way....

|Unfortunately, the struggle to keep this project alive has become too much effort. Today is the day Bury Thy Kingdom is hanging up our gloves. Some of you may have not seen this coming. Some of you may have. Words cannot express how grateful we are to have had you as amazing and supportive fans (read: friends). We love and thank you all!

"Now, onto the good news... Since we recorded, what seems like 19 years ago, we figured now would probably be a good time to release the music. That being said, you can stream our EP on our YouTube channel. In each videos description has the lyrics to each song and a link to where you can download the EP (with and without vocals) FOR FREE!

"It's our gift to you for sticking with us, even throughout our recent, unbearably boring hiatus. Though Bury Thy Kingdom is no more, some members will continue to pursue music! Again, we cannot thank you all enough." More...

Vukari Releasing "Divination" Album

Vukari's debut release for Bindrune Recordings is "Divination,” a twisting monolith of dense sound eager to be witnessed as the band burrows deep within the core of human experience. The album will drop August 1st, 2016.

With a new lead guitarist (Rich Stancato of Valley Of Hinnom) adding a fresh layer of creativity, the album cultivates an ever-changing, yet always profound series of emotions to arrive at what could be considered an enlightened form of black metal ascension.

Rhythm guitarist and vocalist Marek Cimochowicz describes "Divination" as a historical fiction concept record following a lowly patrician during ancient Roman times, and his thirst for power. Through a series of dreams he encounters a symbol that guides him. By using this symbol at the forefront of his campaign, he gains a substantial amount of political and military support. Soon following, his immense power distorts his reality and all his supporters will suffer the consequences of putting their trust into one man.

All aspects of the album's production were handled by the band itself, except for mastering by Justin Weis at Trakworx in San Francisco (Agalloch, Pallbearer, Ludicra, Slough Feg, Vhol). "Divination" was recorded and mixed entirely by the band's bassist and sound engineer Spenser Morris (Panopticon, Saor, Fuath, Grift). More...
