Schemata Theory Releasing New EP

It’s been nearly two years since Reading metal quintet Schemata Theory released any new material. Over the past eighteen Schemata Theory found itself on an unexpected transitional period, after the group's primary instrumental songwriter decided to leave in 2014.

Since then it was a case of going back to the drawing board for the quintet, re-establishing what they wanted to be/do and create.

“The music is now written by different people and is therefore a slightly different flavour to that of the older Schemata Theory releases,” explains guitarist Huw Roch, “The music is less technically minded and is more focused around the vocals/overall feel of the song. It is still a recognizable Schemata Theory sound however and we hope those who hear it will enjoy it as much as we did making it. We didn’t want to rush this process but now we feel the time is right for to us to say we’re back in the game!”

New EP "Networks" will be released directly by the band on June 24th, 2016 and will feature the following track listing:

1. Our Only Home
2. New Vision
3. Horror Show More...

Robots And Monsters Releasing New EP

New Jersey-based metal/hardcore quartet Robots And Monsters will independently issue new EP, "Nothing To Fear Nothing To Fight," the first week of September, while the band also books shows through the summer months in preparation of the record's release.

While the band members are influenced by the music they grew up on -- Anthrax, Slayer, Nuclear Assault, and other key figureheads of the 1980s/90s thrash metal explosion -- Robots And Monsteres owns a sound that deftly combines the commanding crunch of metal with the groove, punch, and emotion of hardcore and post-hardcore.

The follow-up to the 2015-released debut album, "Down To Ash" -- which was a "Pick of the Week" on That Metal Show and debuted at #23 on CMJ's Loud Rock chart -- the upcoming EP "Nothing To Fear Nothing To Fight" follows a concept about battling your own mind. The seven-song storyline was recorded at Portrait Recording Studios with engineer John Ferrara, and mastered by Chris Badami, and features art by bassist Bill Bergmann. More...

Anata Re-Issuing "The Infernal Depths Of Hatred"
