Combichrist Posts "My Life My Rules" Music Video
Combichrist just launched a music video for the track "My Life My Rules," taken from the band's new album "This is Where Death Begins." Stream the (NSFW) clip, directed by Jason Alacrity, in the player below.
"I was really excited to work with the band again after the 'Maggots' video, and excited to work in black and white this time," Alacrity told Bloody Disgusting. "I grew up being heavily inspired by the classic Universal monster movies and silent era films like Haxan: Witchcraft through the Ages. I feel the opening scene in the woods and the fire dancing shots during the ritual are reflective of this.
"The setting of the murder ritual came from the song title 'My Life My Rules.' Rules are customs, disciplines and often times rituals. And shooting in the rural south, the idea of the snake handlers and faith healers seemed to make sense - some backwoods weirdos creating their own 'Frankenstein's monster' of religions."
