Blood Eagle Parts With Bassist Jeppe “Panzer” Skouv

In connection with the planning and preparation of Blood Eagle's debut album and future plans, the Danish death metal group has parted ways with bassist Jeppe “Panzer” Skouv. Due to conflicting schedules with Myrkur, Jeppe is unable to be involved in any activity relating to Blood Eagle.

Guitarist Mircea Gabriel Eftemie and drummer Morten Tåsk Hansen elaborate: "Panzer has been a friend and bandmate since he joined. We've toured together in our previous bands (Mnemic, Ranchy, and The Psyke Project) and shared experiences that only few bands get to do. We're very thankful for this and wish Panzer all the best in the future. Skål i GT!"

Added Panzer: "It has been a great experience to be part of Blood Eagle and I wish Michael, Franz, Mircea and Molle, everyone involved with the band all the best on the continued journey. Skål i GT!”

The progress of the recording sessions for Blood Eagle's debut album are moving according to plan. The band has tracked both drums and guitars for 10 grind-crushing death metal songs at Antfram Studios with Tue Madsen (Meshuggah, Rob Halford, The Haunted etc.), and next month will utilize the services of former member Mikael “Gammelfar” Ehlert, who will join the band as a full time studio-member. Blood Eagle comments:

“We are happy to announce that our good and old friend Gammelfar, has re-joined the ranks (in the studio) for plowing some great death metal bass. Once the bass tracks will be shoveled on the recording, we will hand everything over to Tue and Michael, for vocal tracking, which we expect to commence sometime in August, followed by a quick mix and mastering. As far as live shows, we will only focus on the album in 2016 and will commence touring with a live session bass player (yeah we are keeping it Satyricon-style-hired-guns-only) in 2017."
