Dead Crown Posts "Black Sheep"

Dead Crown just released a new music video for the "Black Sheep" single, which can be seen below. Vocalist Kendall Johns comments on the track:

"'Black Sheep' overall is a song about self-worth and struggles with depression, which are feelings / thoughts I had in my younger years. Growing up in a small town, I had 30 kids in my graduating class, and I was the only person who even listened to this type of music (metal). I always felt like an outcast so I also wanted to try and reach those small town people like myself, the black sheep of the world."

Anthrax Covers Kansas Live

This past Saturday, Anthrax closed a show at the sold-out Los Angeles "KillThrax" tour stop and those in attendance witnessed an exclusive treat: the band's first-ever live performance of Kansas cover "Carry On Wayward Son."

With shout-outs from fans for the band to play the song at the "KillThrax" shows, airplay on Active Rock stations across the country, more than 300,000 YouTube views, and even a "thumbs-up" for the cover from Kansas founding member Phil Ehart, the band decided it was time to play the tune live.

Anthrax fans are well aware that there is no keyboardist in the band and keyboards are prominent on this song, so the group enlisted the help of Fred Mandel to come onstage at the Wiltern Theatre for the performance. Mandel recorded the keyboards for the "Carry On" cover track and has played with icons from Alice Cooper to Elton John to Queen. More...

Nervecell Drummer Hospitalized

Nervecell just issued this update about the band's drummer being unexpectedly hospitalized and missing two upcoming shows:

"Last week our drummer Alex Micklewright was rushed to the hospital in the UK for what was quite a serious and unexpected cause. We were later informed that he had Sepsis Blood Poisioning, for those unfamiliar with the term, many have even died with such cases if not treated on time.

"As of yesterday Alex was released from the hospital and is now in resting mode until the results of his tests come through. We'd like you all to join us in sending positive vibes and in wishing him a smooth recovery. Due to all of this, Alex will obviously not be able to play the upcoming shows we have scheduled in Dubai and Beirut this weekend.

"Those of you who know Nervecell well, know we are not the kind of band who quits or pulls out of shows very often. So having said that, we'd like to announce and welcome our good friend Bachir Ramadan (InnerGuilt), who will be stepping in to handle the drum duties and helping us out for these 2 exclusive shows.

"We look forward to giving you one hell of a show in Dubai on the 28th, followed by our performance at the Beirut Metal Fest on the 29th. See you there folks!"

Nervecell's new album "Past, Present, Torture" will be issued this summer via Lifeforce Records. Check out first unleashed track "A Proxy War" over here. More...

The Ditch And The Delta Streams "Fuck On Asphalt"

As Battleground Records prepares to release the "Hives In Decline" debut LP by Salt Lake City-based trio The Ditch And The Delta, today new track "Fuck On Asphalt" comes online, which features guest contributions from Gentry Densley of Eagle Twin and Iceburn.

Engineered by Andy Patterson of Subrosa, "Hives In Decline" shows The Ditch And The Delta exploring further aspects of sound design within the group's unique take on doom/sludge metal. Employing different tunings, and modal centers, every song the band writes manages to avoid many of the usual doom trappings of excessive feedback, static harmony, and pentatonic riffs.

"Hives In Decline" also features a swarm of solos by Gentry Densley (Eagle Twin, Iceburn) on the song "Fuck On Asphalt." The lyrical content deals with everyday life and the constant suppression and alienation that comes with it. Three men from Mormon-dominated Utah are bound to have a lot of resentment and disdain for the mono culture they exist in daily. More...

Justin Symbol & The God Bombs Premieres Video

Ready for the vagina of the whole goddamn world to be opened up to you? Electronic rock group Justin Symbol & The God Bombs is set to release a second full-length album this coming fall titled "GΩDHEAD."

Today we're officially premiering a whacked out, psychedelic, bizarre-as-fuck music video for the title track - check it out below!

German longest-running and most prolific black metal band, Nargaroth built a canon of work that's as infamous as it is cult in the underground. Now, with the band's first full-length in a long eight years, "Era of Threnody" has arrived to mark a glorious new epoch for Nargaroth.

The track listing for the album is:

Death Yell Streams New Song "Souless"

Chilean black/death metal act Death Yell released the new song "Soulless," which you can check out in the player below. The song appears on the long-awaited debut album, "Descent Into Hell," which will see release later this summer through Hells Headbangers.

Death Yell had a very short but intense life in the late '80s until they abruptly split up in 1991. For good or bad reasons, their unique demo "Vengeance From Darkness" became a referent and even influential for many brutal death/black metal bands and 'bangers, raising the band - even after all these years - to the level of an emblematic and even cult name from that time.

Death Yell reunited 20 years after they broke up to come back with the recording of "Back From the Depths" - released in 2013 through Hells Headbangers as a split 7” with Atomic Aggressor.

Says founding guitarist Andrés "Pollo" Lozano about this highly anticipated debut album: "'Descent Into Hell' is actually our first full-length after 30 years! We are very pleased to become part of the Hells Headbangers legion, as we wanted to work with a specialized, serious, and well-known underground metal label in order to materialize this project."

He adds, "It took us quite some time to decide about recording this album. We had to make the decision about either burying the band definitively or take the risk of resurrecting Death Yell… Eventually, we just did it and made all in our hands to keep our original brutality intact. We are quite sure that Death Yell fans will not be disappointed."

Marcelo Vasco designed the album cover (shown below), who's also designed the latest album covers of Slayer and Kreator. The release date and preorder will be announced shortly.

The track listing is as follows:

1. Soulless
2. Descent into Hell
3. Cries of the Nazarene
4. Bluffer
5. Betrayed Chastity
6. Purging Demons (acoustic intro)
7. Thy Will be Done
8. Will Never Enjoy
9. Healing by Blood
