Epica Announces Tour With Myrath, Vuur

Symphonic metal crew Epica is returning for the European leg of the "Ultimate Principle" tour this upcoming November. Epica will be supported by Anneke Van Giersbergen’s new all-star band Vuur and Tunisian progressive metal band Myrath.

Simone Simons commented on the upcoming tour: “Europe! After our successful tour with Powerwolf we couldn't wait to tour through Europe again! We are coming back for you full force this autumn. A full production and an awesome line up awaits you. Get your tickets fast and come hang out with us!”

Amorphis Updates Tour Schedule

Melancholic metal band Amorphis is currently touring North America with fellow countrymen from Swallow The Sun. Followed by shows in Russia as well as several appearances at European festivals, the Finns will be supporting Danish rockers Volbeat all across the continent.

To bridge the gaps between these open air shows, Amorphis just announced eight headlining shows in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Poland and Denmark. The band's whole tour itinerary can be found below:

On April 28th, Norwegian symphonic black metal giant Dimmu Borgir will unleash double-DVD/BluRay "Forces Of The Northern Night" upon mankind.

Today, the band drops a third trailer for this upcoming release, and pays tribute to all the fans around the globe - those who traveled thousands of miles to see Dimmu Borgir's show in Oslo.

On this soundtrack of the apocalypse that "Forces Of The Northern Night" is, you can witness two different live shows: the aforementioned concert in Oslo, showing Dimmu Borgir on stage with the Norwegian Radio Orchestra and a bombastic choir, as well as an entire performance at Wacken Open Air with almost 100 musicians in action. Les Discrets Releases New Song

Lyon, France dark dreamweaving group Les Discrets returns with "Prédateurs," the band's first full-length album in five years. The record will see release on April 21st via Prophecy Productions.

Ever-evolving, the sound of Les Discrets in 2017 takes a stylistic shift which sees the band’s dreamy shoegaze and metallic tinged post-rock colored with a heavy post-punk influence and electronic chill while incorporating inspiration from trip-hop and 70's film soundtracks.

In advance of the new record's release, today the song "Rue Octavio Mey" comes online and can be heard below. Known through his work in Alcest and Amesoeurs, French songwriter, singer, multi-instrumentalist, visual artist and film director Fursy Teyssier founded Les Discrets in 2003. NY In 64 Announces New Album

New Jersey-based instrumental hardcore outfit NY In 64 will present expansive second album, "The Gentle Indifference Of The Night," this May 26th through Magic Bullet Records.

The follow-up to 2015's self-titled debut documents NY In 64 pushing the sonic template to new heights, realizing an even more refined and uniquely inspired style of instrumental hardcore aggression. The hooks are bigger, the musicianship has broken through the ceiling, the dynamics are deeper and far more textured.

The album's guitars and bass were recorded by Chris Alfano at Volume Fact, with the drums and additional guitars recorded by John Ferrara at Portrait Recording Studios. The record was mixed by Scott Evans at Antisleep Audio, and mastered by Nick Zampiello at New Alliance East, and its layout completed with photography by Justin Hock and layout by the band and Brent Eyestone. Atrexial Signs With Godz Ov War

All Hell Streaming Full New Album

North Carolina-based black thrash trio All Hell is preparing to unleash "The Grave Alchemist" full-length via Prosthetic Records.

Set for official unveiling this Friday, the record is a twelve-track, narrative-driven, horror-based concept album that weaves a tale of alchemy, necromancy, and vampirism over the span of three centuries.

In advance of its release, the band is currently streaming the record in full via Bandcamp - listen in below. All Hell will take to the streets later this month for a short run of live dates, with additional live incursions in the plotting stages.

Weaksaw Releases "Storyteller" Video

A brand new lyric video for "Storyteller," taken from Weaksaw's latest album "The Wretched Of The Earth," has come online via Lifeforce Records and can be seen below.

The production, mixing and mastering for this album were taken care of by Mark Lewis (Cannibal Corpse, Whitechapel, The Black Dahlia Murder), while the drums were recorded in Florida at Audio Hammer Studios by Jason Suecof. The rest of the album was recorded in France, at the Chicken Coop Studio, this time by Mark Lewis.

ColdBlood Releases New Video

After the release of the "Indescribable Physiognomy of the Devil" album, Brazilian death metal band ColdBlood has now prepared a new video clip for "Sulphur," the album's seventh track.

Once again the band worked with CS Music Videos, recording footage at Iguaçu New Cemetery & Old Cemetery of the Slaves in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Check it out below. Diego Mercadante (vocals & guitars) had this to say:

Longhouse Streaming Full New Album

Ottawa, ON doom metal trio Longhouse today offers up a full stream premiere of sophomore album "II: Vanishing," which is due out digitally on Friday, April 14th (plus will be available on physical cassette via Sunmask Records in June).

"II: Vanishing" follows the band's 2015 debut album "Earth from Water," a spiritual odyssey into the perseverance of the human spirit and the lessons we can learn from the natural world.

1st Annual Metal Maya Destination Fest Announced

ASK4 Entertainment - the creator and producer of ShipRocked - announces the first annual Metal Maya, a 4-day all-inclusive heavy metal destination festival vacation from October 29th - November 2nd at the Now Sapphire Riviera Cancun, just south of Cancun in the paradise of Puerto Morelos on Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula.

Metal Maya is the perfect place to celebrate Halloween and Dia de los Muertos (also known as Day Of The Dead and “Hanal Pixán” to the Mayans of Yucatan Peninsula) and will feature performances from a dozen bands in a tropical paradise.

Korn Recruits 12 Year Old Guest Bassist

Joining the ranks of famous musician's kids bands like Next To None, another little tyke is about to take up his father's profession. Korn just issued this announcement about bringing on a 12 year old session bassist for upcoming shows:

"On April 17th, Korn is heading down to South America for a run of dates in Columbia, Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Peru. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Fieldy is unable to make the shows so the band will be joined by a special guest.

"Filling in for bass duties will be Tye Trujillo, the 12-year old son of Metallica’s Robert Trujillo and member of NorCal group The Helmets. We are bummed Fieldy can’t join us on this run but excited to do a few gigs with a young player like Tye. We look forward to welcoming our brother Fieldy back when we return to the States in May. Fieldy will resume Korn’s 2017 tour at Carolina Rebellion on May 6." More...

Necrot Releasing "Blood Offerings"

This June, Oakland, California-based classic death metal band Necrot will unleash the fetid fruits of the "Blood Offerings" full-length album.

Set for release on June 9th, 2017 on CD, LP, and digitally via Tankcrimes (and on cassette in partnership with Sentient Ruin Laboratories), the eight tracks comprising "Blood Offerings" were captured by Greg Wilkinson at Earhammer (Vastum, Graves At Sea), mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege (Nails, Gatecreeper), and will come sheathed in the unholy cover craftings of Marald Van Haasteren (Bolt Thrower, Baroness).

"'Blood Offerings' is the result of six years of hard work and is our first full-length record to be released by Tankcrimes," relays drummer Chad Gailey. "The songwriting and performance on these eight songs is a step up from what people have heard previously. We feel that with this album, we have accomplished what we intended to create many years ago. It is always a great experience working with Greg Wilkinson at Earhammer and Scotty Heath at Tankcrimes because of the hard work and care they both put into each project they are a part of. We are thankful to everyone who has supported Necrot to get to this point."

Guitarist Sonny Reinhardt agrees, "We made the best album ever made and can't wait to hit the road and kill you all." Adds guitarist Luca Indrio, "This is a death metal classic and you should fucking have it!"
