Nervecell Drummer Alex Micklewright Hospitalized

Nervecell just issued this update about the band's drummer being unexpectedly hospitalized and missing two upcoming shows:

"Last week our drummer Alex Micklewright was rushed to the hospital in the UK for what was quite a serious and unexpected cause. We were later informed that he had Sepsis Blood Poisioning, for those unfamiliar with the term, many have even died with such cases if not treated on time.

"As of yesterday Alex was released from the hospital and is now in resting mode until the results of his tests come through. We'd like you all to join us in sending positive vibes and in wishing him a smooth recovery. Due to all of this, Alex will obviously not be able to play the upcoming shows we have scheduled in Dubai and Beirut this weekend.

"Those of you who know Nervecell well, know we are not the kind of band who quits or pulls out of shows very often. So having said that, we'd like to announce and welcome our good friend Bachir Ramadan (InnerGuilt), who will be stepping in to handle the drum duties and helping us out for these 2 exclusive shows.

"We look forward to giving you one hell of a show in Dubai on the 28th, followed by our performance at the Beirut Metal Fest on the 29th. See you there folks!"

Nervecell's new album "Past, Present, Torture" will be issued this summer via Lifeforce Records. Check out first unleashed track "A Proxy War" over here.
