Enemy Remains Posts "No Faith In Humanity" Video
Connecticut-based group Enemy Remains today unveils the first single and video for "No Faith in Humanity," taken from an upcoming October release of the same name. The single features a timely subject matter, touching on the current political climate in America.
"We choose this track because of the strong message regarding what's going on with our world today," said guitarist Tommy "The Beast" Blardo. "With the effect of today's political views, we felt this was appropriate, and we hope the fans will relate to it. We hope people can totally get behind the message and try resolve some of the hate in the world."
Enemy Remains was formed by Blardo and original Fates Warning drummer Steve Zimmerman a decade ago. What began as means of musical expression for the pair has since grown into a hard rock force of nature with driving rhythms and a progressive edge. The group, now rounded out by vocalist Frank Morin, Scott Kadish and bassist Andy Majewski, has since shared the stage with the likes of Alice Cooper, Queensryche and Heaven and Hell, as well as having the honor of playing the 20,000-seat XL Center in an opening ceremony for the Hartford Wolf Pack, the New York Rangers' AHL affiliate.
The video for "No Faith in Humanity" was directed by Edwin Escobar. "The video shoot was just amazing," Blardo said. "Working with a professional like Edwin Escobar was a no-brainer. He made this shooting stress free for all of us." The result is a slick, performance-based video with intermittent clips that tie in the song's message. More...

Regarding the music, we can assure it's way superior than our previous EP, a fucking killer album!" More...
Symphonity Gives "The Choice"
The Czech Republic has until now never been a shining light on the international heavy metal scene. Now and again a band would appear but then disappear again shortly afterwards. That, however, does not apply to Symphonity, a union of talented Czech, Slovakian and German musicians who have just recorded the third album, "King Of Persia." The album will be released via Limb Music on September 23rd (EU) and November 18th (North America). The first full track stream "The Choice" has now been unleashed and can be heard in the player below.
The band can be classified in the classical-symphonic genre, plays at a very high international standard and easily keeps pace with established bands such as Stratovarius, Rhapsody, Dionysus, Thunderstone and Sonata Arctica. Up-tempo hymns with high classical melodies, complex guitar parts played with virtuosity, unmistakable vocals and memorable melodies are the characteristics of this, the band's third album. The previous work, "Voice from the Silence" had already impressed both the press and fans and came highly recommended listening. 2016 is sure to be a successful year for Symphonity. More...

Mastermind Piotr ‘Peter’ Wiwczarek states: "Here is the cover artwork for ‘The Empire’ created by Joe Petagno himself!! The design as a whole includes many details connected to the main theme which influenced me before and during the process of recording: war and the ‘cold crisis’ around us today. There are also links to couple of famous movie series, which influence the generations and erupt with violence, hate and ‘imperial tendencies’... Is this just a fantasy or maybe a sign of the 21st century generation? You have to answer that yourself... and the future will show us. Enjoy ‘The Empire’ and join us on tour soon!"

Xaon Teaches "How We Become Ephemeral Birds"
Swiss Dark Metal band Xaon has released a lyric video for the new song "How We Become Ephemeral Birds," which appears on the forthcoming EP "Face of Balaam." Check out the video in the player below.
Xaon will release the debut EP on October 16th. The official video for first single "Discrowned," featuring vocals by Soilwork's Björn "Speed" Strid, can be viewed at this location.
"Face of Balaam" was produced and arranged by band members Vinc and Flo, recorded between June and August 2015, mixed and mastered by Julian at Parallel Focus Studios. Vocals engineered by Rob Carson at Carsonian Sound Solutions. All vocals, except "Discrowned," by were performed by Franco-American singer Rob Carson. Samples on "How we become Ephemeral Birds" and "Discrowned" by J.-P. Lana.
Brilliant melodies combine with the aggression of Death Metal throughout "Face of Balaam," yet that description doesn't quite do justice to the range of styles influencing the sound of XAON. Consider the contributions of legendary acts like Anathema, Type O Negative, My Dying Bride, Soilwork, Demonical, Ulver and even Disgrace's early-to-mid 90s output, and you'll get the picture.
The track listing is:
1. How We Become Ephemeral Birds
2. Discrowned
3. When the Everlasting Gardens Die Away
4. The Soulcleaner
5. Veins like Burned Trees (The Awe That Walketh in Obscurity, Part 1)

A Sound Of Thunder Announces New Album
A Sound Of Thunder has announced an upcoming covers album entitled "Who Do You Think We Are?." A Kickstarter campaign was launched and can be accessed at this location.
The band states: "We put every bit of effort into this full-blown studio album as we do into our original albums, and churned out some Thunderized versions of classics by Alice Cooper, Rainbow, Mercyful Fate, Manowar, Tool, Kansas, Black Sabbath, Wrathchild USA, Dio, Dan Fogelberg, and Deep Purple!"
Production for the release was once again handled by the platinum awarded Kevin '131' Gutierrez at Assembly Line Studios, and the band explains "you can expect the same punchy modern production as our previous albums but beefed up with even heavier guitars and some of the best performances we've ever captured."
Recording for the release is complete and was partially funded by "The Lesser Key of Solomon" Kickstarter campaign from 2013. Funds from this new campaign will be used for manufacturing CDs & vinyl, paying the legally required licensing fees for the cover songs, and for new cover art from ASoT painter extraordinaire Dusan Markovic. "Who Do You Think We Are?" is expected for release in late-November or early-December.
Excess funds will be used on several projects that are currently in the works, including bringing the animated Udoroth back! The band explains: "Well, we've started to do just that! Animation is an expensive process, but we feel we have a video script that will be quite simply one of the most metal videos of all time, and that will hopefully allow us to turn Udoroth and the Queen of Hell into an ongoing series."
