ProgPower Announces 2017 Lineup
Glenn Harveston (HoS Productions), promoter of the annual ProgPower USA Festival held at Center Stage in Atlanta, Georgia, announced the lineup for Days 3 and 4 of the event's 18th year just after Scar Symmetry's set on Friday, September 9, 2016.
The dates for next year's festival will be held from September 6-9, 2017. Also, the event will keep to its Day 1-4 format introduced this year, but lineups for Days 1-2 will be announced by co-promoters Milton Mendonca (Infinity Concerts) and Nathan Block (Swordlord Productions) through the festival website and social media pages in the coming weeks. Tickets for Days 3-4 will go on sale on October 1, 2016 through Ticketmaster.

Fuzz Evil Posts New Song
With the self-titled debut LP from Arizona's Fuzz Evil just over the horizon through Battleground Records later this month, today an early listen to the psychedelic flow of the album's fourth track "Bring Them Through" comes online.
"Fuzz Evil" will be released on limited clear 12" LP, CD, and digital formats September 30th via Battleground Records. The band also embarks on a US West Coast tour this October in support of the new album, just a day after its release.

Yeti On Horseback Posts "Fables & Lies"
Southern Ontario doom band Yeti On Horseback has revealed brand new track "Fables & Lies." The track is a slow moving homage to Satan and is the third offering cut off forthcoming debut album "The Great Dying," which will be released via Medusa Crush Recordings on September 30th, 2016.

Ayahuasca Streams Full New Album
Toronto's progressive sludge-tinged grunge misfits from Ayahuasca release their "Yin" full-length today. In celebration of its official unveiling, a stream of the record in its tantalizing entirety has come online.
"Yin" is the result of a musical experiment conceived by guitarist and engineer Luke Roberts (aka Berserk Lout), was captured by Roberts (except drums which were recorded by Greg Dawson) and mixed and mastered by Greg Dawson at BWC Studios.

Teethgrinder Announces "Nihilism" Album
After 2015 Lifeforce Records debut "Misanthropy," the Dutch grindcore powerhouse Teethgrinder will return on November 18th with new album "Nihilism."
The stunning artwork for "Nihilism" was once again handled by Marald Art and can be seen below. Lifeforce Recors also comments: "This is pure hatred. The Black Scorpio Underground Releasing New Album
The Los Angeles-based black / death / industrial necromancers comprising The Black Scorpio Underground are set to release their third full-length, "Necrochasm," through a partnership with Husk and Prison Tatt Records.
"Necrochasm" is an unforgiving, seven-track nightmare of sonic ungodliness; a true manifestation of fear, apprehension, and suffocating paranoia. The disharmonic masterwork was captured at Black Blood Studios in Long Beach, California and Hollydale Asylum, in Downey, California. Due out October 28th, the track listing is as follows:

BTBAM Kicking Off Tour With Devin Townsend Project
Between The Buried And Me kicks off the "Transcending The Coma" co-headlining trek with Devin Townsend Project this evening.
Set to commence in Nashville, Tennessee and conclude in Vancouver, British Columbia on October 15th, the near month-long journey (which includes support from Fallujah) will find Between The Buried And Me performing "Coma Ecliptic" in its entirety.

Binary Creed Releasing "A Battle Won"

Kobra And The Lotus Streams "TriggerPulse"
Kobra And The Lotus recently signed a worldwide deal with Napalm Records and is set to release fourth album and Napalm Records debut "Prevail I + II" as two separate volumes of a double album.
The first part will be released in February 2017 with the second part to follow in October of 2017. Today Kobra And The Lotus debuts new single "TriggerPulse," taken from "Prevail I."

Testament Discusses Upcoming Album
The legendary bay area thrash metal giants from Testament have released the first of several trailers for their upcoming 12th album, "Brotherhood Of The Snake."
Watch vocalist Chuck Billy and guitarist Eric Peterson speak about the touring that led up to recording and how that affected the song writing process in the trailer below.

Endrah Releases "Shoot, Shovel, Shut Up"

Black Table Streaming "Gargantua"
Black Table's new song "Gargantua," taken off upcoming album "Obelisk," is now available for streaming below.
The album features twisting, turning, sludgy post-rock sliding into a blackened hellscape, led by the vocals of frontwoman Mers Sumida and double-bass drumming of Michael Kadnar (also a member of the reformed The Number Twelve Looks Like You and German act Downfall of Gaia).
"Obelisk" was produced by Billy Anderson (Neurosis, Sleep, Leviathan) and mastered by Colin Marston (Gorguts, Krallice). The album comes out October 14th on Silent Pendulum Records in the US, and Moment of Collapse Records in Europe.
Sumida says the album deals with "depression as a human condition, explored through the mythologies of various cultures, like Aztec, Mohawk Indian and European literature." More...
Shokran Announces "Exodus" Release
Shokran is an oriental groove metal band founded by Dmitry Demyanenko in the city of Yeysk during the summer of 2013. In February of 2014 the band released debut album “Supreme Truth,” in support of which Shokran toured all over Russia.
In the end of 2015 the band received an offer from Sumerian Records, but, after extensive negotiations, ultimately decided to remain unsigned. Now, in the year 2016, the band is applying the finishing touches to a second album and is ready to announce the release date. The "Exodus" will occur on September 17th, 2016. More...
Seeker Streaming "Rot"
Dallas-bred metal act Seeker has announced details behind new album "Loss," available October 14th. The album’s first single “Rot” emerges into the metal subterranean today - listen in below.
With producer Zach Ohren (Carnifex, Fallujah) back in the mix, and custom, hand drawn artwork from Farron Loathing (Nails, Huntress), "Loss" reveals Seeker’s intense desire to show another side.
“I wanted everything about the album to be faster, darker, more evil, more raw, and way more honest that anything I have ever done,” admits vocalist Bryce Lucien, who has now picked up the bass as Seeker continues as a three piece.
Seeker's first tour in support of "Loss" finds the band joining Malevolent Creation, with additional support from Incantation. The US tour makes stops at the Rock And Shock Festival in Worcester on October 13th, and the Texas Revolution Festival on October 21st in Austin. Epica Releases New Video
Epica's new album "The Holographic Principle" will be available in stores in about three weeks' time. In anticipation of this album, a new music video for "Edge Of The Blade" has been launched today.

Wormrot Announces Tour, Posts New Song
Singaporean grindcore trio Wormrot has announced dates for a 2017 European headlining tour. After a five-year hiatus, Wormrot is back and touring in support of new album "Voices," which is due to be released worldwide on October 14th. The tour kicks off on February 22nd in Antwerp, Belgium.
Wormrot guitarist Rasyid comments: "We're excited for our first tour in years and it feels like returning to where it all started. We'll be playing most of 'Voices' and some old ones, and we hope to see the same crazy crowd as before."
To celebrate the tour announcement, the band also released a brand new song. "'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Grind' is one of the earlier songs we wrote which signalled a subtle change in our direction for 'Voices'," adds Rasyid. "It encapsulates the feel of the whole album nicely."

Tactus Wields A Metal "Scimitar"
Fredericton, New Brunswick five piece progressive metal band Tactus is now streaming first single "Scimitar" taken off upcoming debut full-length album "Bending Light," which is due out on October 7th.
The album features ten outer limit prog tracks produced by the band with mixing and mastering by Jamie King (Between The Buried In Me, Paradise Lost, Scale The Summit). Tactus comments on the new song stream:
"We chose 'Scimitar' to be the first ambassador for 'Bending Light' because even though it's shorter and more accessible, it still showcases some of the weird progressiveness of the album. Korpiklaani Releases Single Supporting FC Lahti
Finnish folk metal group Korpiklaani is releasing a new digital single today supporting the 20th Anniversary of local football team FC Lahti, who play in the Finnish Veikkausliiga.
Jonne Järvelä states: “When I was asked if Korpiklaani would want to support the local football team playing at the top level in Finland, my answer was definitely yes. My first idea on how to take this forward was the thing that is important to us as a band, to write a song, a new official anthem for FC Lahti, and here it is now. Lyrics are not just about football, but also about love for your home town without forgetting it's history. I wish the fans of FC Lahti and everyone else too will like the song.”

Art Of Anarchy Announces First Live Show
Art Of Anarchy - featuring Scott Stapp (Creed) on vocals - is set to make a debut live performance at The Gramercy in NYC on Thursday, Oct 27th.
The group will perform brand new songs and the first single for upcoming effort, “The Madness,” will be serviced to Active Rock Radio in a few weeks. In the meantime, be sure to check out the teaser clip for the upcoming "Madness" video below.
Stapp states: "I was approached by the AOA guys and asked to join them last year. This project has been a very cool, unique experience for me. Fates Warning Announces Tour
U.S. progressive metal pioneers Fates Warning just announced a touring run in Europe supporting new album "Theories Of Flight."
The tour will be taking place in January/February 2017 and will feature Armored Dawn in the opening slot and one further band to be announced soon. Fates Warning vocalist Ray Alder checked in with the following comment:
"Hello all! We are happy to finally announce the tour dates for the first leg of our world tour for 'Theories Of Flight!' We are very excited and cannot wait to hit the road with the new album! There will be more dates announced soon, as well as a few surprises, so keep an eye out... We look forward to seeing you all on this next tour! See you soon!"
