Anfinnsaas Discusses Upcoming Debut Album
A new entry on the Norwegian metal scene, the intriguing duo Anfinnsaas will release a self-titled debut album in just over two weeks.
Members Knut Finsaas and Geir Anfinn Halland Johansen had previously checked in to give us a recent Pit Story from a Mayhem show, and now we've convinced the twosome to divulge more details on the coming album, including how the band originally came together, getting hooked up with AutumnSongs Records, and recording in a WWII bunker filled with lava lamps and prog rock posters. Ragestorm Announces New Album
Death metal addicts, beer drinkers, ignorance worshipers... prepare for the Ragestorm that's coming! The band is now signed to Sliptrick Records for the release of new album "The Thin Line Between Hope and Ruin" next year. Sliptrick also comments:
"Born in summer 2004 as a joke, the band went through major line up changes and shredded the first stage in 2005. In the early 2006 they recorded the first demo called 'Storm Inside' and did a mini-tour around Northern Italy supported by a quickly growing following and media hype.
"Following the early demo, a new recording titled 'Someone Hears?' got released and entered straight the charts as 'demo of the month' on Metal Hammer Italy, Metalitalia.com and Metal Storm Magazine, also getting air time on Metal Head Radio.
"By 2008, Ragestorm got again into the demo of the month charts on Metal Hammer Italy and Metalitalia.com with the production titled 'The Passion,' supporting the release with intense live activity throughout 2009 and 2010, playing shows in Switzerland, the Netherlands (supporting Rotting Christ @ 2009 edition of Eggfest) as well as Rome, Turin, Brescia and Aosta, also supporting big names like Linea 77, Extrema and Subsonica.
"In May 2010, Ragestorm released a fourth EP called 'The Meatgrinder Manifesto,' which is the most extreme and complete production they ever recorded, soon to be followed by 'The Thin Line Between Hope and Ruin.'" More...

Hibria Cancels North American Tour
Unleashing a self-titled album last month via Test Your Metal Records, Brazil's Hibria was supposed to tour both the USA and Canada this September and October in support of the release, but due to visa issues the trek has been postponed.
This tour would have included an appearance at Prog Power USA XVI on September 11 - a festival which has already experienced several other dropouts, including Persefone and Anubis Gate. Test Your Metal Records comments on Hibria's tour snag:
"Some very unfortunate news in the world of metal. For reasons beyond our control Hibria will not be able to join the upcoming North American tour set to take place Sept/Oct 2015. Due to major issues with the USCIS and immigration visa's will not be issued in time to take part in the Canadian and US shows including their appearance at PPUSA.
"As you may know, the USCIS system was hacked a couple months ago and it has caused us nothing but problems for the whole underground music scene. After countless weeks fighting the system, countless extra fees paid and trying to get answers from the USCIS we are forced to throw in the towel and post pone HIBRIA's NA tour until a later date." Shumaun Reveals Debut Album
Shumaun initially started as a solo project by Farhad Hossain (ex-vocalist/guitarist/keyboardist of the Sensory Records progressive metal outfit Iris Divine). After recording a few demos, he decided to recruit some friends to help build the project into a full-fledged collaborative band.
This is what led to the debut self-titled record that will be released on November 13, 2015 with pre-orders up now right here. You can also check out the first single "Ambrosia" below.
Through the course of recording this debut album, Shumaun went through a period of tribulation while securing a drummer. Original drummer Tanvir Tomal (ex Iris Divine) had to leave for professional obligations in the middle of the recording sessions and was later replaced with Waqar Khan (Entity Paradigm), who is also well known for his work with the platinum-selling Ali Azmat of the EMI recording artist Junoon (one of South Asia's most successful rock bands).
Waqar remained with the band long enough to record a few tracks on the debut record as well as appear live for some of the earlier shows. He later had to leave due to professional obligations that required relocation. Drumming legends Travis Orbin (Darkest Hour, Periphery) and Mark Zonder (Fates Warning, Warlord) recorded the remaining drums on the record. The full track listing is: More...

This is true Haiduk the way it was meant to be: cold, evil, blasting arrangements featuring some unique guitar work. 9 songs, 9 demons, risen from the volcanic underworld of Octavia in the realm of Callost - a fantasy world setting, which serves as the basis for the map, lyrics, and short stories contained in the CD booklet."

Ram Announces New Album
The Swedish heavy metal stalwarts from Ram are ready to unleash their latest batch of anthems to the masses: "Svbversvm" is the band's fourth studio LP and will be released the 30th of October via Metal Blade Records worldwide. Check out the track "Eyes of the Night" below. Ram also comments on the new album:
"This album is the rebirth of Ram, a natural step to take after 'Death.' For this album we went back and rediscovered the mass of notes, lyrical ideas and sketches that were created at the very birth of Ram, from around 99-01. We saw that these ideas were more valid than ever and still very inspiring.
"We are very pleased with the album that is the product of 4 months of being locked up in the studio and offering our very last drop of sweat and blood for it to become the most massive RAM production ever. This is our latest assault upon the rotting world, may it be a dagger in the heart of the powers that may be! 'Svbversvm' is at hand!"

Motorhead Selling Dildos, Returns To Live Stage
If you've watched the series "Frisky Business" on Netflix (or if you just have a healthy bedroom life with your significant other), you're probably familiar with the company Love Honey.
Now the one and only Motorhead has teamed up with Love Honey to release a line of vibrators - get your own right here. They're pretty affordable too: between $24.99 and $44.99, unlike the absurdly priced Rammstein dildo box set or Ghost's Papa Emeritus butt plug.
On a less sticky note.... Motorhead finally came back to the live stage after cancelling a bunch of shows! The band commented on last night's performance:
"St. Louis!!!! St.Louis St.Louis SAINT LOOOOUUUIIISSSS!!!!!! How LOVELY it was for Motörhead to kick every single one of your asses tonight eh?!" More...
Machinae Supremacy Cancels Upcoming Shows
Machinae Supremacy has been on the "WTF" tour in Europe alongside Urizen, but remaining dates for the tour have been scrapped. Machinae Supremacy comments:
"Unfortunately we have to cancel our upcoming shows in Germany and The UK. On the morning of September 5th our bus driver Stefan, Gordon's father, suffered a stroke while driving between Turku to Tampere, Finland.
"Fortunately, Jonne, Gordon and Mika were very quick to react and managed to get down to him, take over and stop the bus, narrowly averting what could have been a catastrophic accident. The bus sustained some damage as it hit the highway guardrail, but everyone in the band and the rest of the crew is okay.
"Stefan was rushed to the hospital in Tampere and prepped for surgery, and we couldn't even see him. We were told there was nothing we could do for him. Instead of just sitting and waiting, we decided to go ahead and play the Tracon-X show, with the events of the day like a dark cloud over everything.
"The next two shows were in Sweden and we knew that whatever happens we have to get all the people and the bus and minivan back to Sweden either way, so we started heading back on the 6th. Gordon's mom and sister and Stefan's sister flew in to Tampere to be there with Stefan, who was still in critical condition due to complications during surgery. More...
Dragged Into Sunlight Posts "N.V." Trailer
Today, we shed light upon the malevolent and malicious collaboration between the nihilistic Dragged Into Sunlight and masters of the macabre, Gnaw Their Tongues.
“N.V.” - a five song exorcism due out via Prosthetic Records on November 13 - has been five years in the making and will be a 32-minute release produced by Justin Broadrick (Godflesh, Jesu) and featuring artwork by Seldon Hunt (Neurosis, Isis). Check out a trailer for the collaborative release below.
Dragged Into Sunlight commented, “The level of detail in a recording of this nature is inexplicable. Every note lobotomized, remixed and overexposed, exorcizing total aural madness. Justin Broadrick’s recognition of the effort and finishing touch to its production is of course, an honor.“ More...

Sepvlcrvm Signs With Argonauta Records
Esoteric ritual drone duo Sepvlcrvm is now part of the Argonauta Records family. The label had this to say:
"Hailing from Genova (Italy), Sepvlcrvm is a mysterious journey of mystical ascent, based on a deep inner interpretation of primordial knowledge and ancient sacred scriptures. Working as a sonic incantation to a back-drop of bold religious imagery and iconography, this duo summons a haunting soundtrack of pure uncontaminated improvisation.
"After their album 'Hermeticvm' released in 2010, Sepvlcrvm are now working on the final process of their new opus, scheduled by early 2016, a spiritual work made of hypnotic guitars, occult drones and whispered evocations." More...
