Another song is also available below, and if you dig what you hear, the album is available for ordering over here.

After launching the aforementioned advance track, we got in touch with vocalist/guitarist Weddir to discuss different interpretations of the lyrics and imagery as well as a scene oversatured by bands doing the same things over and over. Read on for the full interview. More...

GWAR Prepares For Second Leg Of Anniversary Tour

Your intergalactic overlords from GWAR (who bizarrely gave a Ted Talk last month!) are hunkered down, plotting vengeance in their Antarctic fortress following a successful first leg of the band's 30th Anniversary (in Earth years) tour.

This run took GWAR across North America on headline dates and multiple festival appearances. The band once again stopped by their home away from home The A.V. Club in Chicago, IL where they recorded yet another disasterpiece which will be released in the coming weeks.

Following a brief arctic slumber, GWAR will return to the road for the second leg of the 30th Anniversary tour. This time the mutant overlords will bring Born of Osiris and label-mates Battlecross out on the road with them (Cryptopsy will play on the Canadian dates in place of Born of Osiris).

This leg of the tour begins October 7 in Cincinnati, OH and will wreak havoc across North America through November 28 in Orlando, FL. A complete list of dates can be found below including the just announced November 15 show at Webster in New York, NY. The infernal berserker, Lord Blöthar, had this to say about the band's recent trip and upcoming shows:

"We came, we saw, we took drugs and got VD. It was the worst. We are trying to kill the internet, but so far, we haven't been able to grab hold of the damn thing, or even really find out what it is....Is this...the internet? Anyway, as soon as we've re-upped on penicillin, we will back out there looking for more tawdry, soul crushing sexual encounters from coast to coast. Meet me out by the dumpster, wherever we are." Blood Red Throne Parts With Vocalist

Well that was quick, after parting ways with former vocalist Yngve "Bolt" Christiansen and recruiting, Martin Berger the Blood Red Throne status quo has been restored with the departure of Martin and return of Bolt. The band comments:

"OK people, life is full of sudden turns...and there's just been one again in the BRT camp. I don't want to go into details and you can speculate as much as you want, but the fact is that Martin is retiring from BRT.

"Many will jump to the conclusion that he...or we couldn't handle the negative feedback from some of you regarding the vocals. But the fact is that it's on a very personal level and Martin needs to sort things out in his life. Playing in all his bands and especially being challenged to front BRT is hard and impossible at this very moment.

"Therefore, we have mutually agreed that he will step out and let Bolt come back again. I know some fans will appreciate this and the rest of us are excited to have Bolt back. Bolt was going through extreme conditions and time pressure when we split with him, but things have changed for the better and he's more hungry and focused than ever to kick ass with us. More...

Threshold Posts Video From Live Album

British metal outfit Threshold recently announced the release of new live album "European Journey" and today the band is presenting the first track from the forthcoming release.

Shot by fans across various venues in Europe, the video for "Watchtower On The Moon" draws a perfect parallel with the new live album. Check it out below. Keyboardist Richard West commented on the video:

"It's so cool to have a video compiling some of our performances from the last tour. It was stitched together from fan footage of various shows across Europe, so it has good parallels with the live album which was also recorded at a number of shows during the tour. 'Watchtower On The Moon' is one of our favourites from the last studio album, it's full of energy and great to play live. I think 'European Journey' does a wonderful job of capturing the power and atmosphere of a Threshold show, it just makes me want to get out there and do it again!"

The double-live-album "European Journey" was recorded during the November 2014 "For The Journey" tour. The album consists of 15 live tracks and will be released as a 2CD digipak on November 13, 2015 via Nuclear Blast. More...
