Ion Dissonance To Release New Album
From Montreal, Canada, Ion Dissonance was one of the creators and refiners of a sound in the mid-'00s that was equally brutal, technical, and rich with pit-friendly grooves.
Along with French Canadian countrymen Despised Icon and U.S. bands like The Red Chord, Ion Dissonance mixed dizzying math and earthquaking heaviness into a vibe that served as a gateway for the deathcore boom that followed. Between 2003 and 2010, the band released four albums and toured the world.
Now in 2016, Ion Dissonance is set to return with its fifth album, "Cast the First Stone," to be released November 18th on Good Fight Music. Check out new song "Treading on Thin Ice" below.
Ion Dissonance frontman Kevin McCaughey offers this statement: "First and foremost, we are excited that we inked a new record deal with Good Fight Music. For those who know us well it is certainly no secret that our band has encountered its fair share of obstacles through this 15-year journey, leading us to remain inactive for the better part of the last six years. With that being said, we look forward to a fresh start, and couldn't ask for a better fit than the relationship established with the Good Fight family. The professionalism, dedication, support and hard work going into this record is so much moe positive than our previous experiences thus far.
"On a side note, we are beyond stoked to finally share with our fans the songs we've been working on for some time now. For the occasion we reserved some of the hardest hitting grooves you've heard from us to date. With Antoine [Lussier, Ion Dissonance guitarist] at the helm of production once again, we made sure to include a little bit of everything on this one. Cast the First Stone is a solid mix of all the essential elements you would expect to hear from us, with some new twists added. This is the next chapter in the Ion Dissonance discography and we are far from finished." More...

Principality Of Hell Announces "Sulfur & Bane"
Greek band Principality Of Hell will release "Sulfur & Bane" via Osmose Productions this coming October 28th, 2016.
The project was born out of the need to honour the members' collective roots, the bands who gave them the ignition and desire to start playing music, and to remind the people that black metal is not only about blast beats and corpse paint.
Says the band: "Our music is an honest testament, directly from the soul of what black metal is actually about - genuine metal music with Satanic spirit and attitude. In other words, if we were 10-12 years older, this is the music which would have been released in 1983-1984." More...
Seremonia Reveals New Album
Finnish heavy psych outfit Seremonia travels to the outer limits and beyond with fourth full-length album, "Pahuuden äänet." This time, the apocalyptic visions have cosmic proportions, and lyrically, it's the band's gloomiest & doomiest album to date.

Zealot Cult Releasing "Karmenian Crypt"
Zealot Cult's "Karmenian Crypt" 12" MLP via Blood Harvest on October 24th, 2016. This debut EP was originally self-released on CD earlier in the spring and is now coming in vinyl format via Blood Harvest. The label comments:
"Resolutely committed to the core tenets of pure and total death metal, this Irish quartet takes strong, expertly integrated influences from classic Floridian death metal and especially the early Roadrunner/RC catalog which fostered same. And yet, Zealot Cult manages to make epic, multi-dimensional majesty from that firm foundation, their compositions constantly rising and falling and taking dark 'n' doomed directions, all while remaining immediately memorable."
A statement from the band reads: "Zealot Cult are proud to announce that Karmenian Crypt will be made available on vinyl and released exclusively by Swedish label Blood Harvest Records. We are also very pleased to announce that we have signed exclusively with Blood Harvest and are proud to be part of such an illustrious roster of bands that we respect and are fans of. We are hard at work writing and rehearsing material for our debut album, which will be released by Blood Harvest, and aim to hit the studio later in the year. Death metal!!" More...

And once that happens, needing to find the strength to break free: to overcome the trap most people fall into, of denying the truth you know through clinging to your previous illusions or just pure apathy as a reason keep this negative element in your life." Qip Releasing "Ephemeral Substrates"
With his debut album, sonic one-man army Qip delivers a political-fiction-meets-reality based narrative which resonates well with the troubled times we experience.
Spy games, combating secret services, totalitarian leanings and a vision of nuclear genocide may now be considered classic movie themes, yet in the age of tensions appear to be still running the world from behind the curtain. On "Ephemeral Substrates," Qip's first full-length record pairs these thrilling motifs with some even more mysterious ones including transhumanism, UFO abductions, and space conquest.
Qip's Maciej Pasinski comments: "'Ephemeral Substrates' is my first solo album in the true sense of the word. The project consumed almost 3 years of my life. I spent more energy on this one than on any other material of any band I have played in and I am very happy about the result. Many people asked if I had a plan to release it in a physical format. Finally, this is happening thanks to Arachnophobia Records!
"'This Place Is a Tomb' marks a grand finale to the album. The song takes a shape-shifting, ever evolving form, evoking an atmosphere of abyssal darkness, desperation and claustrophobia. Its epic yet factual lyrics tell a story of the last hours of Kursk nuclear submarine crew, utilizing a descriptive, documentary language and excerpts from notes found on Lieutenant Kolesnikov's body." Freya Streaming "Eyes Of Malevolence"
"Eyes Of Malevolence" is the latest single from Freya, and the band's impending fifth studio album, "Grim." The track sees premiere today, preceding the LP's September release through Fast Break! Records.
Expanding upon the thematic scope of previous release, "Paragon Of The Crucible," the band's latest installment derives inspiration from the historical origins of Grimm folktales. Grizzled veteran founding frontman, Karl Buechner (Earth Crisis, The Path Of Resistance) breathes life into these cautionary tales, delving deep into their macabre realities and the harsh circumstances of their genesis.
Newly-recruited drummer Dirk Verbeuren (Megadeth, Soilwork), the one-man stampede of savagery, lends his machine gun percussive virtuosity to the album, his complex timing and imagination a perfect complement to the diverse riff-work of guitarists Brendon Flynn and Thom Turner.
"Grim" was mixed and mastered by Jason "Jocko" Randall at More Sound Recording Studio in Syracuse, and features the intense graphic cover artwork by Freya's Brendon Flynn. The album will be released through Pennsylvania's Fastbreak! Records on September 30th. More...

Thought Vomit Announces Album Release
Thought Vomit's "Punks Brutal Retaliation/Sync The Skies" is set to drop as a self release on October 28th, 2016. The following press release was issued about the upcoming album:
"You walk in the door, and immediately the smell of sweat, blood, and angst corrodes your senses. Pushing closer to the stage you feel the tension building, coming over you like a wave of apathetic resistance. Wolves as children thrash before the aural onslaught, in bloodthirsty conquest, breaking their bodies in violent tribute to the sensory revolution unfolding before their very eyes. In the midst of the chaos, Sonoma County thrashers Thought Vomit stand in the forefront, flying the black flag of resistance in step with the malcontents of the world.
"After completion of Thought Vomit's self-financed 'Makes No Cents' tour in April 2016, the band has been hard at work on a 4th self-produced studio album, 'Punks Brutal Retaliation/Sync The Skies.' As per their genre-bending reputation, Thought Vomit again defies genre norms, contorting the spectrum of sound to their will in a nihilistic cyberpunk narrative on privilege, classism, police brutality, and the future dystopia of a technological singularity." Moonspell Announces "Irreligious" Re-Release
On October 7th, 2016 an immortal Century Media Records classic, the Gothic metal album "Irreligious" by Moonspell, returns on vinyl for the first time since its original release back in 1996.
In cooperation with the band, Century Media Records decided to re-visit the album as original vinyl editions have been hard to find and are very expensive nowadays. This 20th anniversary edition includes various additional treats.
"Irreligious" comes housed in a wide spine LP sleeve including the 180 gram vinyl with the album mastered by Patrick W. Engel (Iced Earth, Tiamat, Grave), the entire album on CD, a 4-page LP-sized booklet with an introduction by Fernando Ribeiro, plus lyrics and photos. Apart from that, a replica of an original 1996 promotional poster was added resulting in the ultimate edition the album.
Moonspell comments: "None of us really thought it through. The possibility of being years, twenty years after, celebrating an album and, why the hell not, a decade of great music, fusion, experiment, freedom. 'Irreligious' will always be our highlight, our piece-de-resistance. Not that the other albums were mistakes in any form. Just that we are still sure that with 'Irreligious' we helped shaping a style, a new thing in underground metal, something European, classic and mystical, a beautiful beast, laid to birth after an eternal night of passion and doom between metal and goth.
"We will be playing some twenty years shows on selected dates in Europe and Portugal. Come vista the wolves! And ...finally thanks to the good chaps of CM we will be releasing the 'Opium\ maxi for the first time ever on vinyl (out November 25th)! So plenty of reasons to be celebrating with us, because when you celebrate music you celebrate life, a value which was never so fragile but also so precious as today in a world that has never learnt how to get rid of religion. So, consequently embrace better values, avoid terror and choose beauty over it." More...

Combichrist is touring in support of eighth studio album "This is Where Death Begins," which released in June on Out of Line Music. "I finally feel like we came full circle with this album, considering we're all from the punk rock, hardcore and metal backgrounds," commented LaPlegua. Deranged Posts Rough Mix Of New Song
Swedish brutal death metal act Deranged released a clip featuring a rough mix of the new song "Hello From the Gutters." The song will be featured on the upcoming new album "Struck By a Murderous Siege," which is due out on October 28th via Agonia Records.
While full album details will be revealed over the next weeks, drummer & founder Rikard Wermen issued the following update on Deranged's current proceedings:
"We´re right now caught in good ol' Berno Studio located in our hometown Malmö, working on the new full length (titled "Struck by a murderous siege") and things are going rather smooth. Mean, we record the way we've done the last 20+ years. We go in and just fucking play. That's it! Not trying to overproduce anything. We want our shit to sound alive and (in)human. Eight songs of adrenalin and filth soaked death metal straight from the sewers of a cruel and malicious world.
To sum the whole thing up...
Rikard Wermén (drums): Who are you?
Berno Paulsson (producer): I am Berno.
Rikard Wermén: Have you come for me?
Berno Paulsson: I have long walked by your side.
Rikard Wermén: So I have noticed.
Berno Paulsson: Are you ready?
Rikard Wermén: My body is ready, but I am not."

Swedish power metal act Sabaton said farewell to Thobbie Englund, who
Joining Englund and the band on stage was ReinXeed's Tommy Johansson, who was simultaneously announced as replacement. The band posted the following:
"Thank you Thobbe, Welcome Tommy!
"Our guitarplayer Thobbe did his final concert with us on the last nights very emotional show at the Sabaton Open Air festival. Celebrating the release of our new album while saying goodbye to a great friend is lot of mixed feelings.
"But the future is bright since this was not nearly our last stand, from now on you will see Tommy Johansson playing guitars with Sabaton and we all look forward to see you on the road!
Tommy commented: "For me to be a part of the Sabaton family is a huge honour and I couldn't be happier! The guys are awesome and among the nicest people you can meet. I've been following Sabaton since 2005 when I saw them live for the first time and I have loved the band ever since, so when they asked me to join there were no hesitation.
"Although, they did ask me already back in 2012 but for many personal reasons it was not a good time for me to hit the road and give everything that was needed to the band. So I declined, but we have stayed in touch since then. I also wanna say that Thobbe is a great guitarist and such a wonderful guy!! My job is not to replace him, it's to contribute to the band with my own style of guitarplaying but of course also to keep his fans happy by playing his wonderful solos with pride. I look foward to meet you all on tour and to do what I love the most in life - to play heavy metal!"
Sabaton just released the brand new album "The Last Stand" and will tour the U.S. with Devin Townsend Project, Between the Buried and Me and Fallujah next month. More...

Burn Down Eden To Release Debut Album
Forst, a city lost deep in the German Hinterland bordering Poland, lays heavily infested with Heroin, Crystal Meth and the living dead. No wonder former members Tom, Jules & William wanted to leave the dark prospects of a perishing local music scene behind... Burn Down Eden was born!
After a few line-up changes, the band found its stability with Kai (Vocals), William (Guitar), Tom (Guitar), Robert (Drums) and Max (Bass)
While making no mystery of the punk rock influences, the band members started to hone their skills and draw inspiration from the likes of Iron Maiden, Slayer, Wintersun, Children of Bodom and At the Gates. The result: a supercharged, pissed-off, technical yet ruthless Death Metal, delivered in pure Swedish style.
After their first EP, "Memoirs of Human Error," the band further sharpened the sound and is ready to unleash the debut full-length "Ruins of Oblivion" – to be released on September 30th on CD and Vinyl via Sliptrick Records.

Its been five years since Italian progressive metal act Fury N Grace released the 2011 sophomore album "Diabolism of Conversation." The band is back and has a new album entitled "A Dream-Letter To The Witches Of Western Europe," which is set to drop in September via Underground Symphony Records.
The album was produced and arranged by Fury N Grace and engineered by Davide Colombo at Diana Studios. The bass was engineered by Marco Coti Zelati and the album was mixed and mastered by Federico Pennazzato at Music Ink.
“A Dream-Letter To The Witches Of Western Europe” is a horror tour de force celebrating everything monstrous: the third and finest effort finds the band reaching a creative peak of weirdness and intensity, taking their vision a step farther toward dementia and venom. Filled to the brim with the bizarre imagery of the lyrics, instrumental intricacies, menacing atmospheres and doomy vibes, the album features a stunning new singer with bluesy depth and potency, Franco Campanella (Spanking Hour). It is a strong and uncompromising musical statement, an enigmatic and ominous gem.
The album features guest performances by Fango DUmatt Gigerz, John Llewellyn Probert, Maurizio Savini, Davide Colombo, Federico Binelli, Gabriele Ferrario, D.F.Lewis, Matt Giuliani, Ian James Parker, Silvia Gadina, Marco Di Lucca and Marco Candela. More...
