Moloken Posts New Video
Moloken just released a new music video for "The Beginning Of The End," which can be seen below. The band comments:
"This song is indeed a very special song. It was first recorded as a demo track back in 2008 by me and our previous guitarist Johan Öman. Then it only consisted of 2 guitar tracks.
|It wasn't until the fall of 2013 when I had an epiphany to call Frida Johansson (folk musician from Umeå) and asked her to add violin since I had just presented to the band that we could use this song as the ending track of our new album. But it wasn't until when we entered Tonteknik Studio with Pelle Henricsson in february 2014 everything finally fell into place.
"Frida came by the studio heavily pregnany, laid down her track and didn't even spend more than 40 minutes in studio, and last but not least Patrik Ylmefors recorded the apocalyptic guitar loop that ended the song.
"The video was filmed way back in 1967 by my grandmothers brother Rolf. And its clear that the he was a creative and artistic person with an eye for image composition." More...

Frozen Ocean Announces Strictly Limited EP
Earlier this year Frozen Ocean ran an extremely successful campaign on Groupees.com, where various bundles of digital material, spanning the entire back catalogue of the band, were sold. As special incentives, four exclusive, never before heard tracks, were made available as the pledges of support increased. These four songs will never be made available again in digital format – however Vaarwel, the mastermind behind Frozen Ocean, has agreed to a very, very limited physical release of the tracks. Collected together under the title "A Faded Missive Therefrom," they are now to be released on CD by Operator Produkzion.
The CD will come in a printed four panel sleeve, specially designed by Cold Graves and A-Drone and the artwork is the perfect representation of the music within. These songs are another doorway into the world of Frozen Ocean, a world of wonders that can lift you away from the ordinary and everyday. A Faded Missive Therefrom is a collection of some of the most evocative and enthralling ambient music that Vaarwel has ever created, but due to the extremely limited nature of this release fans will need to move fast if they are not going to miss out.
The track list for the release is:
1. Lux
2. Pluvia
3. Nox
4. Lichten Op De Muur More...

Anthrax Premieres New Official Music Video
Anthrax premieres a new official music video entitled "Monster At The End". Check it out below. Laments drummer Charlie Benante the state of the music industry:
"I don’t think there is that real urgency to do a video in the way it once was. I mean, when you were doing a record, you were already picking like two or three songs that were going to be your videos. The video was basically gonna be this huge marketing tool that would shoot your record sales from ten copies to ten thousand copies. It’s not like that anymore, because the whole world has changed.
"The business model has changed completely. Basically, the floor has dropped out. There really is no other way of marketing your record like the old school way. Now you have to think of other ways to reach people. The problem with YouTube is it’s based on, you know…how do I put this…basically stealing. Basically, YouTube is taking things that already existed and not paying for it, yet profiting from it. I remember the days of early rap and they could throw as many samples of as many songs as they wanted to and no one stopped it until someone said, 'Wait a minute. I’m not getting paid for the song that I created and you built a song around.\ They stopped it. Now, the same thing that happened with that needs to happen with this. It needs to be policed and it needs to be stopped." More...
