Today, cult German underground band Odal releases a first taste of upcoming new album "Geistes Unruh." Check out the title track from this album due to be released September 30th on LP (with vinyl sized booklet) and digital formats.
Strychnia Comments On Failed Kickstarter
Strychnia just issued this statement online via Facebook about work progressing on an impending new album release:
"So if you're wondering what the hell happened to this new album of ours... it's still coming. We really apologize for the delay as unexpected events of misfortune have made this a complicated project.
"For those who don't already know - Rory and I (Kev) are funding this album entirely between just the two of us. I'm sure many of you know that recording is not cheap, along with the artwork, merch, etc.
"We tried the Kickstarter campaign but fell short of our goal, so we have been working hard to acquire the funds needed to finish this album. The recording is actually VERY near finished, so as soon as we get back in the studio - we'll be done quickly.
"Thank you all so much for supporting us and sticking with us through all these years. It's been great, and we don't plan on quitting anytime soon. After the completion of this album, we will work on completing our line-up for live shows. Trust me it would be a dream come true to tour and take the stage before all of you guys!" More...

Montreal blackened doom band Éohum just released new video "Eurocide," directed by Chris Kells of The Agonist and his film company FTB Visuals. Band founder / guitarist Jeremy Perkins comments:

Whores Posts "Gold" Snippet
Atlanta power trio Whores just posted the first 15 seconds of new LP "Gold" today - listen in below. Whores will release "Gold" on October 28th, 2016 via Entertainment One (eOne).
This new LP was recorded at Parhelion Studios with producer Ryan Boesch (Helmet, Fu Manchu, Melvins) and features artwork by Patrick Copeland.

Harri Kauppinen Announces Solo Album
Harri Kauppinen, front man of the dark metal band Beyond the Dream (2005-2014), is releasing his debut solo album ”Helvetin Laulut” on CD, cassette, and digital formats on September 30th, 2016.
The album was made in collaboration with producer/mixing engineer Hiili Hiilesmaa (HIM, Sentenced, Moonspell). This heavy album in its entirety was made lyrics first, and it is, according to Kauppinen, "a shameless shrug off to hypocritical happiness and striving to please others at one's own expense." Vorvan Posts Album Teaser
On October 14th, German hardcore punk/metal label WOOAAARGH will co-release "Once Love Was Lost," the new album from Vorvan.
Although the band has been unleashing metallic punk since 2012, Vorvan has been relatively unknown outside of Russia, which is no doubt set to change with this Kurt Ballou-mixed effort. WOOAAARGH commetns:
"Formed in 2009 by guitarist Eugene Cherevkov in Moscow Russia, the band went through several line-up changes before settling into its current incarnation. The band has built up a solid buzz in their native country and as a result have shared the stage with heavyweights such as Napalm Death, Extreme Noise Terror and Walls of Jericho.
"Musicians from Converge, From Ashes Rise, Punch, Afgrund, Plague Widow and Distaste took part in making 'Once Love Was Lost' come true. The music Vorvan prepared for their listeners has a completely different sound, mixes new genres and contains ten themes united under one idea. The atmosphere has become darker, lyrics have become more hair-raising and the group now uses a second guitar and additional instruments. The release of ‘OLWL’ opens the band’s new era." More...
Night Demon Releasing Cassette
Shadow Kingdom Records has set October 31st as the international release date for the cassette version of Night Demon's self-titled debut EP. The label comments:
"Night Demon is a young trio from California who literally fell out of the sky from nowhere...well, they did when they first released the 'Night Demon' EP on CD in 2013. Even before its release, when they'd just created a Bandcamp page - and where Shadow Kingdom found 'em and were instantly blown away - Night Demon were invited to play the KIT festival in Europe.
"From there, the stage was set for their inevitable debut album, 'Curse of the Damned,' which was released last year by Steamhammer and through which the band hit the road hard and converted the masses to their heavy metal faith." More...
Sin Of God Unveils Album Artwork
Behold the front cover of Sin Of God's "Aenigmata," created by Bvll Art. "Aenigmata" is the band’s second full-length album, coming out in September through Russian label Satanath Records cooperating with the Italian Murdher Records.

Ereb Altor Posts Live Bathory Cover
Ereb Altor recently performed at the Lithuanian festival Kilkim Žaibu, and now footage has come online from that show.

Foul Body Autopsy Releasing New Single
Just six months since the release of "Perpetuated By Greed," Tom Reynolds (under his one man extreme metal pseudonym Foul Body Autopsy) is back again with a new single. Entitled "21st Century Fascism," the single is about the rise of the extreme right wing within modern mainstream politics.
"21st Century Fascism" was produced by Russ Russell (Napalm Death, Dimmu Borgir) and features artwork by Alan O'Neill of Zonument. The single is set for release on CD and digitally via Grindscene Records October 1st, 2016. Tom Reynolds comments:
"Not long after I finished 'Perpetuated By Greed' I wrote a song that would become '21st Century Fascism' and for some reason or another, I liked the idea of recording a single in the summer for release around the winter while I began work on the next full length. I sent a demo of the song to Russ Russell and asked if he would be interested in producing the track with me.
"A few days later Russ replied saying that he liked the track and so we booked time into his studio. For me working with Russ was an amazing experience, it was the first time I had anyone really 'produce' my work.
"He suggested changing some of the lyrics to make things fit better and also suggested an arrangement that would ultimately make the song much better than the original. The mixing and mastering is amazing and I would love to work with Russ again someday!" More...

Lifesick Signs With Southern Lord
Southern Lord is shining the spotlight on Denmark again for newest signing Lifesick, an overwhelmingly hard-hitting act that takes aggressive, mosh-primed hardcore and introduces it to morbid, extreme metal.
The band's debut LP, "6 0 1," was recorded at Dead Rat Studio by Jacob Bredhal / mastered by Brad Boatright, and will be released by the label on vinyl and digital formats in November, following the CD release by FWH Records.

Anewrage Issues "Nina" Music Video
Anewrage have released the official video for the song "Nina," a previously unreleased track contained in the new edition of the debut album "ANR," available on Scarlet Records.
Formed in 2009 in Northern Italy, Anewrage cranks out an original mix of alternative metal, rock, post-grunge and incendiary live sets! So far they have shared the stage with international acts such as Gamma Ray, Freak Kitchen, UFO, Dreamshade and Destrage among others.
"ANR" was produced by Matteo Magni (Rhyme, Audrey, Mellowtoy), at Magnitude Studios. Check out the clip here:
