Warrant Announces "Louder Harder Faster"
Frontiers Music srl is pleased to announce the release of Warrant's new studio album, "Louder Harder Faster," this coming May 12th, 2017.
To date, Warrant has eight million records sold worldwide, two Top Ten Billboard albums, five Top 40 Billboard hits, and five #1 MTV videos. Now, six years after the release of "Rockaholic," the album that relaunched the band as a force to be reckoned with in the 21st century, Warrant returns with another slab of muscular hard rock, aptly titled "Louder Harder Faster."
With a line-up featuring original members, Erik Turner, Jerry Dixon, Joey Allen, and Steven Sweet along with singer Robert Mason (Lynch Mob, Cry of Love), Warrant is now stronger than ever, with production handled by Foreigner and ex-Dokken bass player Jeff Pilson.
Erik Turner says, "You can hear and feel the emotions of the last 25 + years of being in this band poured into 'LHF.' The fun and the frustrations, the pleasure and the pain... a whole lot of blood, sweat, tears and beers went into the making of this album. Love it or hate it, its the real fuckn deal, 100% pure melodic hard rock. Hand crafted by five musicians who dedicated their lives to music when they were just little kids with big dreams."
Jerry Dixon adds, "'Louder Harder Faster' is truly one of our best records to date. It has all the classic Warrant ingredients that people have come to know, plus a lot of extras that keep it in the modern realm of todays music. It's a perfect mix between Balls and Ballads. When we started this project over two years ago, we wanted to bring the listener back to the days of sitting in the living room and cranking up a record from start to finish. Making full records seems to be a lost art, we hope in some small way that this album helps people find that art again." More...

Belgian black / death metal band Insanity Reigns Supreme today reveals a new live video for the track "By The Blood of the Beast," which is taken from latest studio album "Unorthodox" (out now on Shiver Records).
The video can be streamed through Youtube below. It was recorded by Marleo Video at the prestigious Eindhoven Metal Meeting festival 2016 and editing came courtesy of Cloud Music Typography.
Vocalist Tes Re Oth had the following to say: “'By the Blood of the Beast' details the ritual of Communion with the Undead Gods. Communion in this sense stands for actually trying to establish communication with Those who have risen to reach the ultimate goal of joining them. In a live setting this is even more powerful, as we invite Them to join us and feast upon the energy that is freely given by us and the audience. In the end this was an experience that none who attended will forget.” More...

Merrimack Wields "Apophatic Weaponry"
Merrimack is today revealing the first sinister song taken from forthcoming fifth full-length album "Omegaphilia," which will be released on June 9th, 2017 via Season Of Mist. The pitch-black track "Apophatic Weaponry" can be heard below.
Merrimack comments: "For this song, as on the whole album, we wanted to come back to something more rooted in the 90's. With a less complex structure, and a sound not as modern and claustrophobic as on our latest albums, 'Apophatic Weaponry' still has our characteristic moody atmosphere with some crawling mid-tempos riffs. This is especially noticeable on the second half of the track.
"Our lyrics are dealing with the special connection between beings and their faith, even though it is constructed on a void trying to fill in another vacant space of nothingness. The divine cannot be observed, demonstrated, except by its consequences. In the end, this is the definition of faith as opposed to reason. This concept of negative theology is a mystical approach towards the divine that attempts to describe it through the impossibility of describing it. Eckhart. Jacob Böhme and most of the German mystics tried to increase their faith with such notions."
1. Cauterizing Cosmos
2. The Falsified Son
3. Apophatic Weaponry
4. Gutters of Pain
5. Sights in the Abysmal Lure
6. Cesspool Coronation
7. At the Vanguard of Deception More...
Descartes a Kant Releasing New Album
Descartes a Kant, one of Guadalajara, MX’s most imaginative and avant-garde bands, is set to release American debut album, "Victims of Love Propaganda," via Cleopatra Records on May 12th.
Today, Descartes a Kant has debuted a video for a brand new song called “Motion Picture Dream Boy,” which was directed by gore extraordinaire film director, makeup effects artist ,and longtime friend of the band Gamaliel de Santiago Ruvalcaba. Check out the schizoid insanity below.
The band’s third studio album, "Victims of Love Propaganda," was recorded/produced in Chicago by Steve Albini (Nirvana, Pixies, Breeders). It’s a concept album that questions all aspects of modern love through a series of dark tales of woe, limerence, break-up and grief. The band calls it an, "emotional porn album."
The story’s narrative is represented by two characters that personify the face of a modern love relationship. It charts the couple’s mutable love as it transitions from enchantment, fascination and intensity to a state of indifference, disconnection, and dissolution throughout the ten-song cycle. Unlike other so called “break up” albums, any sense of resolution is left to the minds of the listeners. More...

Juha Raivio Comments On Live Absence
Fans catching Swallow The Sun live recently have noticed that long time guitarist Juha Raivio has been curiously absent, with Juho Räihä standing in his place. Today Raivio issued the following statement about the situation:

I formed the band 17 years ago and have written 8 STS albums and one EP altogether since then. I would love nothing more than play live for you as that is where my heart is, but life didn’t go that way.
"This music and the lyrics are just too personal to go in front of the people at the moment and rip your heart open again and again. I hope you understand. Maybe one day. But please go and support the boys on tour and show your love to Juho Räihä who has been doing great job filling in for me. Take care now."

Pokerface Announces New Album "Game On"
Russian thrash act Pokerface announced the release of the sophomore full length release to be entitled "Game On." The album is set to drop on March 31st. A video clip for the new song "The Fatal Scythe" can be viewed in the player below.
Originating from Moscow Russia, Pokerface was formed in 2013. Following line-up changes, the band overcame obstacles of establishing themselves and are now ready to unleash "Game On." With a unique style reminiscent of bands like Arch Enemy and Kreator, the band has shared the stage with the likes of Slayer, Testament and Sodom and many others. The music is characterized by heavy riffs and a combination of clean and brutal vocals.
"Game On" is not your ordinary album. It consists of 10 tracks in line with the core theme of 'chance.' The album provides an insight into how we deal with opportunities and how we face our inner fears. It is inspired by the concept of self development and that the easiest choice is not always the right choice.
The hero of the album does not ‘break’ in light of social pressure and chooses the high road...the path less taken. Now trapped in a whirlpool of greed, fear and betrayal his problems surface as monsters which pursue him into the depths of his subconscious. He plays with fire and the demons inside him lead him to the loss of everything he has earned throughout his life. Trapped in a labyrinth with no beginning and no exit the realization that our very own person is the route to salvation does not come as a surprise. The album communicates to the listener that until we remember who we really are our demons will haunt us until we take control of our own destiny and live as autonomous.
The track listing for "Game On" is:
1. The Bone Reaper
2. The Fatal Scythe
3. Play Or Die
4. Blackjack
5. Straight Flush
6. Cry. Pray. Die.
7. Creepy Guests
8. Bow! Run! Scream!
