Liv Sin - former vocalist and driving force of Sister Sin - has teamed up with Metal Underground.com for the premiere of the new single "Immortal Sin." The song features a guest appearance by The 69 Eyes' Jyrki 69.
"Immortal Sin" will appear on the upcoming solo release "Follow Me," which drops on April 28th via Despotz Records (pre-order the album at this location).
On working with Jyrki, Liv had this to say: "I've known Jyrki for a long time and I've always wanted to do a duet with him, his voice has such a cool and dark tone. But there was never any time or any song the suited. As soon as we decided to do "Immortal Sin" I heard his voice in my head singing, and I immediately asked him if he wanted to join me.
"Fortunately for me he liked the idea as much as I did, and I'm so honored and happy we did this. I just love the feeling in the song and his voice is totally perfect for it. I wouldn't been the same with only my voice."
Jyrki added: "The bitch is back! Nevermind any political correctness, listen to her voice and you know what I'm talking about. This is metal and I'm glad to be a part of it!"
"Follow Me" was produced by longtime U.D.O. bassist, Fitty Wienhold and features the following track listing:

Today, the official pre-sale for the concert film "Rammstein: Paris" begins ahead of the worldwide release on May 19. Get it at this location.
The film, which will be released in many configurations, sets new standards. In March 2012, during the Made in Germany tour, Swedish director Jonas Åkerlund shot two acclaimed Rammstein concerts at the Palais Omnisports arena in Paris in front of 17,000 spectators.
Featuring 22 songs from the band's entire repertoire, the resulting film is not only the most spectacular collection of imagery about the most successful German rock band of our time, but also a masterpiece of music cinema, capturing Rammstein's energy as a unique visual and sonic experience.
Åkerlund is notorious for his radical, pioneering video clips for bands such as The Prodigy, Metallica, The Rolling Stones, and also Rammstein. Absurd details, upended perspectives, shocks of contrast, and sensory confusion flicker through his music productions, and in "Rammstein: Paris," he celebrates this from the very first minute.
Rammstein plays 22 songs (128 minutes), ranging from "Wollt ihr das Bett in Flammen sehen?," the first song from the very first album, to "Frühling in Paris" from the last studio album "Liebe ist für alle da."
Artistically and dramaturgically ingeniously staged, like an overwhelming video clip, "Rammstein: Paris" is one of the best rock concert films of all time. "Absolument."
A first impression of this masterpiece can be seen right here: More...
"Existence" is the debut album by a French progressive death metal quintet Hyaena, which is set to be released on April 5th.
Hyaena hails from Orleans and has been active since 2010. Over seven years the band has issued two EP’s: "Seasons" (2013) and "YAMA" (2015).
Hyaena performs a kind of progressive metal that also includes influences from death metal and ambient. “Existence is more personal, more progressive and darker than our previous releases,” commented the band.
About what inspired "Existence," the band said: “We’ve always been inspired by Japan so I think ‘Existence’ is a mix of all of these ambiances with progressive and modern metal. It was 3 years in the making. We wrote the music the first year, and then started recording the songs to bring them to life in our home studio. We started to play them together at the final process to bring the ‘human feel.’ And when the tracking was done, we teamed up once again with Jamie King (Between The Buried And Me, The Contortionist, Scale The Summit…) to produce the album and get the best out of it, which he did.”
Hyaena has previously launched a music video for the single “Shape of the Gods” taken from the new album. You can view it in the player below.
The band’s plans for the rest of the year, beside the album release, is to play live as much as possible. They say: “We want to promote this album everywere we can. At the moment we have couple of shows planned and they will be announced soon!”

"Totenritual" has been revealed as the title to Belphegor's new effort which will be be released on September 15th through Nuclear Blast Records. Explains the band’s vocalist/guitarist Helmuth Lehner:
"It is the most brutally heavy offering we have consecrated thus far. The drums are precise and very technical with loads of breaks, fills and tempo changes. The bass is like a panzer tank. Also the rhythm guitars are complete; utterly aggressive and obscure. You don’t hear guitars like that anywhere with such a massively low tuning. I’m really proud of all we have tracked so far and created for the new audial hellspawn. An honour – this horror!!"

Ottawa, ON's Longhouse came into being in 2013 when guitarist Marc Casey and bassist/vocalist Joshua Cayer turned a long-standing writing partnership into a full band with drummer Mike Hache, resulting in a circle of dark, riffy, heavy textured doom metal.
They released their debut album "Earth from Water" in 2015, a spiritual odyssey into the perseverance of the human spirit and the lessons we can learn from the natural world. In November 2016, Longhouse returned to Wolf Lake Studios to record with Mike Bond (Loviatar, Norilsk, Arms of the Girl) as producer and engineer for sophomore album "II: Vanishing."
“'II: Vanishing' has a logical evolution that is evident in the composition, as well as production. I also think that fans should take a moment to reflect on some of themes that are threaded throughout the album.” says vocalist / bassist Joshua Cayer. “The bulk of my ideas musically and lyrically come from exploring Indigenous ways of knowing. I am Algonquin First Nations. My family’s community is Kitigan Zibi, outside of Maniwaki, QC. However, I grew up in the city, mostly detached from my culture. As a father, I have been trying to immerse myself in the stories, wisdom, and strength of our elders, knowledge keepers and story tellers, so that I can pass that on to my daughters. Because this takes up so much space in terms of who I am, and who I am becoming, it plays a very large part in terms of influences I draw upon.”
Those influences can be heard in first single "No Name, No Marker," a song written for the voiceless indigenous children who were abused and died while forced to attend residential schools in Canada and were buried in unmarked graves. More...
