DevilDriver's Jon Miller Comments On Tour Dates

DevilDriver bassist Jon Miller has checked in with the following new road report:

"Hi, everyone. This is Miller. I am back in Santa Barbara after returning home a week early from the end of DevilDriver's 2010 European summer tour. I want to thank our guitar tech, Dave Burke and tour manager, Bubble for saving the day at the last minute and playing bass for me.

"Unfortunately, I had pressing medical issue that needed immediate attention. I am feeling much better now and am beyond stoked to be a part of this year's Ozzfest. We are doing a U.S. run with Kittie, Kataklysm and Hostility immediately after the Ozzfest dates and am looking forward to finishing up the Pray For Villains touring cycle so that DD can start focusing on starting 2011 with our 5th, and i must say, burliest record to date. This is the album that I have been waiting to show DD fans what we do best. It is not a nice sounding record. It is not happy or friendly. It's dark. It's wicked. It's pissed. Its also getting mixed right now and hopefully DD fans will get to hear a new track by the early fall. More to come on the new record soon.

"I hope everyone is enjoying the DevilDriver documentary. It has been a long time in the making. We will keep you updated on more DD news and I look forward to seeing all the fans when we hit the road next month!"

He's got his own techniques like everyone does, so he's going to bring a different dynamic into the sound/mix. I'm excited for people to hear the finish product. I predict it will be very HARD!" Undivine Essence Announces New Bassist

Israel's Undivine Essence has issued the following update about recruiting a new bassist and working on a full-length album:

"Firstly, we're very glad to announce a new member for Undivine Essence. On the bass guitar is Ronnie, a very talented musician and a good friend. Ronnie brings with him influences of punk-rock and grunge, and essentially spices up the music with feel of real rock n' roll. Welcome to our forces!

"On the meanwhile I must update that we don't have many copies left of the split album with nature's elements, after all only 100 copies were made. About the full length proceeding - we're still working on drum tracks recording, but we have only one song left to record. after that it'll be time for recording guitars, bass and vocals, and all of those recordings will go rather quick (if none of us will be involved in meat grinder accident). so if I dare to guess, I'd say the album will be ready on 1st or 2nd month of 2011."

Glenn Hughes Announces U.K. Fall Tour

Iconic vocalist and bass guitarist, GLENN HUGHES, known to millions of hard rock fans as the undisputed “Voice of Rock” will embark on a 15-date UK tour in September. Formerly the lead singer and bassist of Trapeze, Deep Purple and Black Sabbath, and the forthcoming rock supergroup Black Country Communion, Hughes' nearly two hour live performances will consist of an unforgettable career retrospective.

“I’m proud of my heritage, and the UK fans have always been the most supportive and receptive to me and my music,” says Hughes. “I’m thrilled to embark on what’s possibly the most extensive UK solo tour of my career. I’ve just made an album that I am extremely proud of with Black Country Communion, and until that band goes out on the road, I’m channeling all the power and energy from the BCC experience, into these dates. I’m a lean, mean rock machine.”

Fans can expect a diverse selection of classicsongs from Trapeze, Deep Purple, Hughes Thrall and Glenn's solo albums, with an emphasis on performing some new, interesting selections, including some that have rarely/never been played live before. A complete set list has not been determined as yet, but some songs have been decided upon.

In keeping with the tradition of the classic British hard rock vibe that he has focused on with Black Country Communion, Glenn's new solo touring band has a harder, more direct rock approach than previous incarnations.
