"We’ve had an amazing time on the road supporting this album. Got to tour with many great bands and met loads of awesome people. There have been highs and lows. Highlights include our first tour in South America, performing in Beijing, Taiwan and India, and fulfilled a long time dream by sharing the stage with the almighty Slayer.

"We want to thank our loyal friends and fans for the support. Thanks to our crew who has been putting up with us for so long. Thanks to our management and label for covering our backs and everyone else who have been involved in some way, big or small, in bringing us to the far reaches of the world. More...

Nominon Checks In With Band Update

Swedish death metal act Nominon, who recently wrapped up the Death Metal Darkness North American tour, has checked in with the following update about the band's activity:

"Total hail to all the fucking death metal freaks that showed up on the recent Death Metal Darkness North American tour that Nominon did together with support coming from Deathgasm Records label mates, the crazy Mexicans Ininitum Obscure and the Hellabama bastards Quinta Essentia. We certainly had a good time over there even though the endless traveling hours and fuck up's like vehicle breakdown etc.

"We did however managed to do all shows without any cancellations or what-so-ever. The response and support was just amazing and it was killer to finally be able to play a few gigs in Texas, Louisiana and Florida. We met tons of people that we'll forever be grateful to, you all know who you are!! See you all next time around! A gallery of live photos and random shit can be found here. Further pictures will be added soon!

"More Nominon news. Believe it or not but today we received the vinyl version of 'Monumentomb' from Blood Harvest Records. They simply slay! The first edition of 100 copies comes with a very limited 7" EP entitled 'Omen,' including the two tracks 'Invocations' and 'Through Dead Dreams Door,' that was recorded at Necromorbus Studio with producer Tore Stjerna during the same time as the album itself. You can order your very own copy directly from us, we would like to add though that we only have a very few of the LP version including the 7" EP, so be quick or die. More...

Dark Funeral Comments On Pro Rock Cancellation

Dark Funeral has issued the following announcement about the Ukraine's Pro Rock festival being canceled:

"Ave! Yet another festival weekend is coming up, but unfortunately we have some bad news for all of our Ukrainian fans. ProRock 2010 (Ukraine), where we were supposed to play Saturday (July 17) has been canceled! We’re extremely disappointed of course, but in this type of situation there’s unfortunately nothing we as a band can do. We do however hope that all of you who have bought tickets for the festival will be refunded by the organizer.

"Since we truly hate canceled shows, our booking agency has, in this very last minute, been trying to arrange a replacement show in Kiev, but since the promoter has failed to keep his part of the deal, a replacement show won’t happen either. However, tomorrow we’ll definitely play at Kaltenbach Open Air (Austria) as scheduled. We will hit the stage at 22:20 and play an hour set. And we’re totally looking forward to it. See you there!

"Before I go I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who attended Hellfest (France), Graspop (Belgium) and Unirock Open Air (Turkey). Your response was phenomenal and we sure had a blast playing at all of them! Our next festival appearance will be at SummerBreeze (Germany) on August 21. See you there!"

Gross Misconduct Checks In With Band Update

Gross Misconduct has checked in with the following update about working on a new album:

"Hey how about an update? It’s only been close to a year, why not? We are playing the Vancouver Metal Fest at Vancouver's Rickshaw Theatre on July 31 with some of the best talent not only in Vancouver or Western Canada, but this whole country — all for a measly $12. We are headlining the show, and hope to be on stage for about 11:30-11:45ish. There is no way you will miss the last bus/Skytrain, so you have no excuse.

"As far as our new album is concerned, it is damn near done. There are a couple things left to do, but we’re confident that it will be out by the end of summer. We’ve got almost all the tracking done and most of the art done. We’ve even come up with a name for it! We’re in the process of getting some big names to help us on the mixing/mastering end of things, and we hope to announce those names soon. In the meantime, we are back to playing shows after a year off, and we are looking forward to destroying you all. Check back often, as the next few months will get busy, busy, busy."

Shadowside Posts Tour Report

Brazil's Shadowside has posted an extensive tour report online from the band's time in Europe. An excerpt from the report follows:

"Alright, rockers... you've been waiting for quite a while to find out what happened during our stay in Europe and now the time has come! We have a bunch of pictures and stories to share with you. As most of you know, we spent two weeks in Europe and played in Bran, Romania and Banja Luka, Bosnia-Herzegovina in some of the most amazing locations one could possibly imagine. The Bran concert took place right in front of a castle known worldwide as Dracula's Castle, while in Banja Luka we performed inside of a true Roman castle.

"I would like to start this report differently however... this time, I'll start with the thanks. This would not have been possible if it wasn't for such special people, that did such an impecable job at making these festivals happen, treated us with extreme respect and made the whole tour run as smoothly as usually bands only dream about. There are always a few last minute problems a band has to solve that keep us from fully enjoying the experience and sometimes even turn out to be so bad that the show becomes the only good part of the day. This, however, didn't happen this time. I can't recall being worried at all during this tour. These promoters and helpers dealt with everything so well that us, the musicians, only had to focus on playing. Therefore, Shadowside would like to thank: More...

Arkhum Issues Album Update

Oregon's Arkhum has checked in with the following update about working on a new album:

"So our album 'Anno Universum' is almost 100% complete! The art is completed, now we're just working out the album layout, which is about 99.7% finished! It is looking absolutely stellar. Christopher Horst and Abe Hurd really did a fantastic job on this album. Also, Jason Walton got back to us with some rough mixes, and we'll hear the album in full this weekend, make some notes then we'll have the 100% completed product in abut a week or so!

"We're disgustingly stoked for this album, you have no idea. It's sounding awesome, and we have even begun writing for our next effort. We also have a new shirt called 'Arecibo' coming out with the album, and it's stupid awesome. Alex Hoffman from Fallujah and Cypher Media did the design and it is so nice. If you need any shirt/layout/covers done, hit this guy up, he's way good and has good prices.

"We'll be putting the album and shirts online for those of you who can't make it to our show, or live far away, and it'll probably be way cheap there as well. Look for our BigCartel page soon! Last but not least, come to our album release show if you live in the Eugene/Springfield area on August 20th at The Wandering Goat. The show is with our good friends in Omnihility and Rye Wolves, as well as the black metal fiends from up north, Infernus. Come rage the show with us!"
