"Sweet Dreams has been the culmination of major urges welling up inside all of us to be a bit faster, a bit harder, a bit trippier and generally more aggro in our approach to writing, jamming out, and conceptualizing the songs and record as a whole. It's a lot tighter, but it's also a lot looser. All of the drums are finished for every song, we’ve got the rhythms done for 7 of the songs so we’re gonna finish up those either tomorrow or the next day, then I’ll record the bass. We’ve also got vocals done for 2 of the songs. Zeuss has been drilling the band everyday pushing us to our limits to make this the best possible record it can be. If something played sucks he’ll say "nah man that sucks do it again" and that’s what every band needs out of a producer. This album is going to blow "depths" out of the water." More...

At the end of the day it was a no-brainer to do a new licensing deal with the InsideOut label, they did a great job on the 'Demons' album and the 'Live Fire!' DVD.
"Since then, they have merged with the Century Media company whom I have a long and successful history with. I already know a lot of the people that will be involved in this release, and that feels good. Ataraxia Parts With Vocalist
Vocalist Brandon Zemel has issued the following announcement about parting ways with New Jersey's Ataraxia:
"Hey everyone, it'd be a lie to say this has been a long time in the making, cause it hasn't at all. It came almost just as much of a surprise to the guys as it did to me, even though I knew a little bit before they did: I'm going to college! Who knew? My entire high school career, I was like 'fuck college, I don't need it,' but eventually I came around. I toyed with the idea of staying in New Jersey, then I looked at University of New Haven in Connecticut for Criminal Justice. I joined the National Guard back in December, but was discharged last month because I couldn't meet the PT standards.
"When I was in the Guard, the plan was that I would ship to Basic and Advanced training from July 12 to the end of November, and the band would use that time to write new material that I would put lyrics to upon my return. The end of the Guard brought that plan to an end. So, I needed a new plan that didn't involve criminal justice, since early discharge from the Guard would almost certainly take me out of the running for any law enforcement job since so many military veterans are going for them. This all makes sense to us as it is another necessary piece of the dark and mysterious puzzle that is called 'Creation.' Once again, it is self-funded by the band and released on my own BloodyMountain Records, proof that we truly believe in what we are doing and how important it is at this time to delve deeper into the abyss that is VALDUR."
Raven God Amongst Us follows the band's limited two-song 7" released via SatansMight/CultoftheHorns and the three-way split with Killgasm and Shitestrom released via ChristHammer Records earlier this year. More...
