Carcosa (AngelMaker) Premiere New Single & Music Video "The Axe Forgets, The Tree Remembers"
Carcosa, the Canadian melodic deathcore outfit featuring members of AngelMaker, have unveiled the music video for the title track to their sophomore album “The Axe Forgets, The Tree Remembers.” The clip, which premiered today streaming via YouTube and Spotify for you now below, was directed by Ranch Boy Productions.
The band emphasized the significance of this particular track, noting its role as a cornerstone of the record and highlighting its striking incorporation of clean vocals:
“The time has come to finally share this monumentally important song with all of you. This title track is truly the amalgamation of the entire theme/story of this record.
We know this song is different compared to most of the songs we have released in the past but we felt as though this was the best way to convey the thoughts, feelings and emotions this whole album has accumulated for us over the 3.5 years it took to complete.
We want to thank Rylan, Brad & the rest of their amazing crew over at @ranchboyproductions for making this music video concept possible! The level of professionalism, dedication and work they put into making this video what it is today is an unbelievable achievement. We cannot applaud them enough for all they have done for us on such a short timeline. <3
This entire album is about vulnerability and being open and honest about past traumatic experiences in the hopes that it’ll provide some catharsis for those that need it most. We hope that this could be a starting point for those who struggle to discuss their past to be open and candid with others so we can all heal together.
This community’s strength is built off the support we all give each other.
We will always be here for you”
