Believer Recording New Album
Christian thrash metal veterans Believer has revealed that they are working on a brand new studio album. A message from mainman Kurt Bachman reads as follows:
"Hello everyone! It's been quite a long time since I blogged to you. It has been a busy several months for us but happy to say that we are recording the follow up to Gabriel now! The drums are just about finished and I have many tunes in the bag for the initial rhythm guitars. Once again, the tunes are quite different and when I listen to them it kind of sounds like someone else wrote them which creeped me out at first. I really like the tunes and you will be able to tell that we stepped outside our comfort zones. Always fun to do that! We hope to finish this up in the next couple months and I will keep you posted on possible release dates once we discuss with Metal Blade."

Evergreen Terrace Comments On Fight At Show
Evergreen Terrace has issued the following statement regarding a fight at the band's August 12th show in Cheswick:
"Because of the amount of attention that the ‘ET fight’ rumor has caused, we want to answer your questions and clear up what happened at our show on 8/12 in Cheswick, PA. We attempted to let these ridiculous comments pass and not to take part in the absurdity, but because the rumors continue-even if by only a small group of people - we think our fans deserve the truth. Craig and Jake, a crew member of the tour, (NOT Andrew) were sitting by a red car (not on it).
"A girl approached them and told them to get off her boyfriend's car. They told the girl they weren't on the car and to chill out. Craig asked where her boyfriend was. The boyfriend walked up and both parties began shit talking. The girl dumped a beer on Craig and Jake and threw the beer can at them. Craig stood up. He and the boyfriend lunged at each other. The boyfriend tackled Craig to the ground causing Craig to land on his back. The boyfriend hit Craig 3 times, and the girl jumped in swinging. Craig was on his back, his arms up to block. Jake and witnesses pulled the boyfriend and the girl off. There was a large crowd of people by this time. The boyfriend sustained his injuries from someone else (not in the band) after being pulled off Craig. When Craig got up, the girl ran toward him again. Craig shoved her away and walked off. She did not fall on the ground from this action. Later Craig went back to the area to get his phone. The boyfriend apologized to Craig, said the whole thing was stupid and that the girl was drunk. Nothnegal Checks In From The Studio
Nothnegal has checked in with the following update about entering the studio to record new material:
"So we are back in studio after a much needed break and as you may already know, have been writing the material for this album for over a year now and the whole album have actually been rewritten 4 times! We have been working hard on the overall sound and the material that's gonna end up on the album turned out to be completely different from what we started out with. Due to the writing process, we had to postpone the originally planned recording schedule. But its all good now, we got 8 songs all done and ready to record.
"And if you are wondering what they sound like, it does have some melodic elements from the Antidote EP and they are mixed with some heavy/thrashy guitars, everything is slower compared to what we have doing before. For those We played two songs from the album, Claymore and Janus on our show with Arch Enemy last month: we have attached some pictures from the show to this post. Kevin has already tracked the drums for all of the songs which were awesome as expected! So whats left now is the guitars, bass, vocals and keys, everything except the drums.
"We'll be shooting some pictures and video footage from the sessions and post it online so you guys can see the actual recording process in action. We'll be updating this blog as we progress with the recordings, The band members will individually post their comments on the sessions there."

Sunday Old School: Agnostic Front
For many people, when they think of hardcore, the first place they think of is New York. And with good reason too, the N.Y.H.C. scene is perhaps one of the most well known in the world of heavy music, right up there with the Bay Area thrash scene. New York has produced dozens of hardcore bands that have gone on to become legends in the field and the now sadly defunct CBGBs club hosted more hardcore shows than a Red Light district in Amsterdam. One of the absolute top dogs from the New York scene, is a band that has been around longer than most and arguably played CBGBs more than anyone, Agnostic Front.
Agnostic Front was formed by guitarist Vinnie Stigma, formerly of The Eliminators in 1980 and went through a few singers before settling on Roger Miret, himself the former bassist of The Psychos. Before long, the band recruited bass player Adam Moochie and drummer Ray Barbieri (aka Raybeez) on drums and released their debut EP, "United Blood" in 1983. The EP was well received by fans and the group recorded their first full length, "Victim In Pain" soon after, releasing it in 1984. The album pushed them to the top of the New York hardcore scene and earned them a tour with Scotish hardcore act, The Exploited. More...
