Bone Gnawer Re-Signs To Pulverised Records
Singapore-based Pulverised Records is pleased to announce the re-signing of horror/gore death metallers BONE GNAWER.
BONE GNAWER is the collaboration between legendary growler Kam Lee (ex-Mantas, ex-Massacre, ex-Denial Fiend), Rogga Johansson (Paganizer, Demiurg, Ribspreader etc.), Ronnie Bjornstrom (Hate Ammo, Ribspreader, Taedeat) and Morgan Lie (Naglfar).
Commented Lee of the new album deal and the band's upcoming recording: "It feels good to be back with Pulverised. This is the one label that has a true understanding of the type of oldschool '90s style of death metal we play. This time around we're taking another brave and bold approach to our musical direction and lyrical concepts. We always strive to go against the grain and not cater to modern trends, all the while staying true to the oldschool death metal sound. This time around we are going for a torture and vengeance type lyrical concept, although some of those traditional 'cannibal themed' type lyrics will remain. We are [going for] a grittier feel and a much darker edged 'grind-house' appeal to our lyrical concepts taking influences from some of the more hardcore exploitation type films of the late '70s such as I Spit On Your Grave and Last House On The Left. Musically we are retaining the horrific blend of oldschool death metal we are known for, yet combining it with an even catchier flair."
Further details on the follow-up to BONE GNAWER's "Feast Of Flesh" debut are to be announced soon.

Vintage Flesh Posts New Recording Update
New Hampshire based black metal band Vintage Flesh has issued the following update about recording new material:
"The final toll of the bell, it is near. The operation was relocated one town over to Gemini's first recording studio space. It was a noted improvement in size and accommodations. A.C., mini fridge for the beer, wider floor plan, a view out into the unending woods to the north of NH. Fitting, very fitting for our meager needs.
"Everything done this past Sunday was strictly vocal work. It was much easier to find my inner Demonic character at this location. An appropriate vibe about the place. I would like to have created the entire album here. But most the vocals will be done here anyhow. Much was completed and we suspect the album could be completely recorded by next Sunday. Hex has some more build ups on guitar to complete that day as well.
"I am extremely anxious to escape the mental Hell that has taunted me this entire time. This past Sunday we had the company of other local Doom and B.M. band members Eric of 'Eternal Embrace' and Jeff of 'Frozen Forest'. You may want to do a search on them. Hex stayed home. I knew I was on the right vocal path, when every time I turned around after completing a vocal part, I turned to see a room full of gaping jaws and horns on high! We are going through the roof on this release as compared to the other. More...
In This Moment Posts Mayhem Footage

Support on all of these headlining shows will be the Las Vegas based hard rock act Otherwise.
Guitarist Chris Howorth commented: "As the saying goes, all good things must come to an end and it’s with mixed emotions that we say goodbye to Mayhem Fest 2010. This tour was so much fun and so good for our band that we wish it would just continue on for the rest of the year. We are definitely all feeling the end of tour blues after this run and will miss our bus mates in Norma Jean, along with all the new friends we made this summer, but we are also really excited and optimistic for our headlining shows and our future tour plans (we are putting together something really cool for our fans this fall). We want to keep touring to support our new CD through 2011, so stay tuned to our MySpace page in the coming weeks for a major announcement."

Other discs, I would tell the artist, 'I can tell ya what I don't want, but I can't tell ya what I want.' Travis Smith is really cool to work with. He'd done 'The Fall of Ideals,' so I knew him and he's great to work with. I'd told him what I wanted, and it came together pretty fast. Hope people dig it like we do."

Australian Christian black metal act Fearscape has issued the following update about the band going on hiatus to focus on other projects:
"A 'Hiatus,' Ok, change of plans. The material Phil and I have been writing is now the core material for our new 'band' War Decisive. It was heading in a very different direction to FS so it was better to go that way.
"Pete and Phil are working on 'reprisals' of some of our darkest moments from S.I.L and S.O.D.B for the Blackstump festival. We may choose to record this material if it turns out well, going a bit Amorphis?
"Pete will write more heavy material whenever the lightning bolts of creativity hit. Hey Astriaal took 7 years to do a new album........hopefully not. In the mean time, Phil and I will be working on War Decisive and Rose of Sha'aron so stay tuned for those when they arrive-and arrive with force they will."

Pantheist Records Song For Split Album
U.K. act Pantheist has issued the following update about recording the new song "Barock" for the upcoming "Unveiling the Signs" split album:
"Pantheist have completed the recordings of the track 'Barock' for the conceptual split album 'Unveiling the Signs'. Sound wise, the track harks back to the sound of the band's demo '1000 years', but with a few subtleties that suggest it's the year 2010 and Pantheist are a full band now. Lyrically, it is a nostalgic looks at a long lost and uncertain past where heroism, fantasy and magic reigned supreme. A preview of the track will be available on this site as soon as it is mastered."

It was shot in an old dirty barn at a location just outside where we live. Spending what felt like ages in the long time kept dust was well worth the sweat and blood. After the barn battleground Richard took care of the hard work to cut, edit and piece it all together in a functioning symbiosis. Now, viewing the final result we are extremely proud of how good this video turned out. Hell Richard!"
