Conspires To... Issues Recording Update

U.K. metal band Conspires To... has issued the following update about recording new material:

"Tonight has been excellent. Had a good go at Voice in the Storm, complete with Storm effects and choir! It is sounding massive, definitely the biggest thing so far, with more tracks than you can shake a stick at, all adding to the moody, brooding atmosphere.

"I have also had some inspiration of the lyrics front too. This is themed around people making a difference in the world, and how amazing it is that individuals can influence so many. How through all the noise a single voice can be heard, like a 'Voice in the Storm.' Well you get the general drift of it. Anyway back to it, the song wont finish itself."

Conspires To... also premiered the song "Falling Down" last month through Metalunderground at this location.

Hail of Bullets Reveals New Album Details

Dutch death metal band HAIL OF BULLETS has announced "On Divine Winds" as the title of the band’s upcoming full-length studio album to be released October 12th via Metal Blade Records.

HAIL OF BULLETS' debut album "…Of Frost and War" was a concept album about the Eastern front war of Germany. "On Divine Winds" is another concept album, this time covering the Pacific battles between Japan and the USA.

Vocalist Martin van Drunen comments, "This time Hail of Bullets takes on the Pacific War. The expansion of the Empire of Japan throughout Asia, introducing a full scale war using all forces combined. The massive strike back of the Americans, whose marines bravely fought many tough and bloody battles on now forgotten insulate islands spread throughout the whole Pacific. This led to desperate Japanese defense tactics such as Kamikaze, human bullets and suicidal Banzai charges. Until finally, incendiary bombings brought the empire to its knees."

The album title "On Divine Winds" refers to the translation for the Japanese word Kamikaze, as kami stands for "God" and kaze means "wind." More...

Pagan's Mind Recording New Album

Pagan's Mind has issued the following update about the band's recent activity and announcement about recording a new album:

"Greetings Earthlings, Aliens and whomever else! Believe it or not, despite the lack of activity here in our official MySpace, we have been busy lately. A new spaceship is in the works, that will take you on a travel through what's musically been created in our heads over the last few years, but we are still in the process of finding a partner that will launch the ship (or album, if you want the clear picture...).

"However, we are nearing completion of recording the new album, and work with our Facebook page has been intensified, we have launched a Twitter page, and we will do our best to keep you up to date also here on the MySpace. Yes, there will be a newsletter about the new album coming soon, and maybe a little taste or two...

"Over at our Facebook page, we have set up a player where we have album tracks, but also songs that we consider a bit rare. So far, two rare songs have been added; the Japanese bonus track from God's Equation called 'Forever Seeking,' as well as the homage we did for the local soccer team in Skien, 'Helter Fra Telemark.' Ok, some of you might recognize the song as a cover by POD, but it's nevertheless recorded by us. We hope you enjoy it! More...
