Goatwhore Announces New Tour Dates
The New Orleans road warriors from Goatwhore will return to the U.S. tour circuit this fall on a short run of live abrasions prior to and following an Ozzfest appearance in San Bernardino, California on September 24th.
The trek will commence on September 16th and rupture fifteen stages through October 1st. Support will be provided by The Blood Royale on select dates. Goatwhore's latest U.S. journey will follow a two-week stretch of European onstage debauchery set to kick off next month.
Comments Goatwhore frontman Ben Falgoust: "We have been associated with Ozzfest in the past and are grateful to be playing it this year, but being part of Black Sabbath's final West Coast show is another legendary experience to be affiliated with and be able to witness first hand, taking in every element of a band that has been a great influence on all levels in the metal world. Also, Ozzfest has given opportunities to countless freshly-emerging metal acts to forge new paths and give people new levels of extreme music to connect with and hear... that doesn't exclude this year.
"Tons of acts that have been pretty damn strong in the underground metal community will be making their first appearances at Ozzfest Meets Knotfest, as well as repeat acts that have been a part of it in the past. So, when you come to see Black Sabbath out West for their last time, come early and be a part of the future of metal, as well as it's legendary past."
Adds drummer Zack Simmons, "We are very honored to be a part of Black Sabbath's last ever California performance and Ozzfest's 20th Anniversary. It'll be a ripping day of heavy metal and a bittersweet farewell to the godfathers of the genre." More...

Heaven Shall Burn Announces New Album
In order to sum up the overall feelings and ideology found within HEAVEN SHALL BURN's 8th full length offering, simply entitled "Wanderer," one need to look no further than the first few pages of the CD booklet ...
"He seeks distance to change his perspective
In freedom and seclusion, he arranges his thoughts
Strength and power he regains in nature's shielding bosom
In vivid silence and familiar remoteness he can listen to his heart
Yet he experienced that from no wayfare you return the same
He knows that nothing will change until you change yourself
And therefore, every revolutionary is a wanderer."
In summation, during confusing and troubled times we occasionally need to retreat from all the madness that surrounds us in order to gain a new perspective. The energy and focus that can be found from this retreat can be used to spark a change within ourselves, lending to a refreshed and strengthened mindset. When one chooses simplicity over complexity, a new road appears, one that leads to a frame of mind which shows you just how over indulged we can make this journey through life.
To enhance the auditory and lyrical journey, Heaven Shall Burn asked friend and photographer Christian Thiele to embark on a quest in order to capture the beauty of mountains, plains and shorelines. The lush and awe inspiring photos that came from this trek lend to the beauty behind the brutality of "Wanderer." More...

Sumerian Records Announces 10 Year Tour
Sumerian Records continues to celebrate its 10 year anniversary, announcing the “10 Years In The Black Tour” featuring label artists Asking Alexandria and Born Of Osiris.
I See Stars, After The Burial, Upon a Burning Body and Bad Omens round out the North American tour, which launches on October 25 at Seattle’s Showbox Sodo and wraps up in early December.
“I can’t remember the last time I was this excited for a tour,” Asking Alexandria guitarist Ben Bruce said. “Not only is this our first true North American headlining tour in two years, as well as our first real U.S. headliner with Denis [Stoff] as our vocalist, but this is also a tour celebrating the incredible 10 year journey of Sumerian Records. We couldn’t be more proud to headline such a pivotal tour package and to celebrate the music Sumerian has released. The tour will include our biggest production to date and the first trek out in support of our new album, The Black. This is going to be something incredibly special.”
“To see the celebration of a decade of Sumerian culminate with this tour is a true reflection of the communal spirit and vision that this label was built upon,” said Sumerian Records Founder Ash Avildsen. “Fans will get to see five headliners all go out together, which is very rare these days because of tour politics, egos, money and everything else that gets in the way of giving music lovers an unforgettable line-up. The fact that these five bands are sharing the stage together and still bringing an opening act to kick off the show makes this a truly special tour. I comment them all. Stay tuned for for lots of upcoming announcements about different activities for bands and fans to interact at at these shows that go beyond just watching them perform on stage. Mark my words: This will be the most progressive and interactive tour we have ever done. See you on the road.” More...
