As someone who was among the old guard. I two wasn't very open to BabyMetal. That is until just recently my tone has changed. After my daughter dragged me to their concert recently. I think i am beginning to understand their appeal. That was one of the most fun & frankly chaotic concerts I've been to in years. This band seriously is gifted & i mean that in the best possible way.
I don't think they are intimidated by Rob in the least. Su-Metal clearly belongs on stage as she seems almost possessed in this performance. Which is just something you don't see in many groups these days. They clearly give 120% feeding off the souls of the dead. As I can't see where else they get their energy from its actually kind of inspiring. Whatever side of the idle one lies with Babymetal.
You have to give credit where it's due. The metal industry has been on a downward spiral for years now.
It is in need of a Renaissance & the passing of the torch to a new generation. The fact Babymetal is helping to bring so many new fans in. Which otherwise may not have gotten into metal like my daughter. It brings a tear to my eye & like them or despise them. They are changing the landscape.
Helping to break down the metal divide. Which has not exactly been known for its diversity or openness to new ideas. Not to mention women within it's ranks & that i fell is really were the issue lies with some. But we should remember our own decree. Metal has never played by the rules of anyone. So Babymetal certainly is giving us all the giant middle finger. So for that i say Rock On Ladies!! :b

As much as (musically) this is great it still doesn't sway me towards Babymetal! Nothing personal guys I just can't get behind it! Also, Girls, try to look like you're having fun and not like you're terrified of Rob! lol
