Death SS Re-Issuing Three Albums
Shadow Kingdom Records just announced the signing of Italian group Death SS for the reissue of the band's first three albums: 1988's "...in Death of Steve Sylvester," 1989's "Black Mass," and 1991's "Heavy Demons."
Each album will be released on CD, vinyl, and cassette formats, (as well as digital) with a T-shirt design produced for each album cover. Shadow Kingdom comments:
"Long a cult name in the international heavy metal scene, Death SS have influenced thousands over the past three decades in their long, twisted history, equally influencing the nascent speed metal and black metal scenes with their trademark ghoulish and theatrical presentation. Shadow Kingdom couldn't be prouder and more honored to have Death SS amongst its roster, most of which have been shaped by the band in one way or another." More...

Demonstealer Releases New Video
Demonstealer just dropped a new music video for the track "From Rubble And Ruin," which features George Kollias and caps the band's latest album "This Burden Is Mine."
Sahil "Demonstealer" Makhija had this to say about the clip: "I think the video takes a step away from the conventional metal ones and I'll give complete credit to director Guilherme for this vision. I guess it was born from not actually having a full band or even myself to shoot because we are in different countries. So I gave him complete creative freedom and he delivered the goods I think."

Soilwork Comments On Drummer Departure
Yesterday it was announced that longtime Soilwork drummer Dirk Verbeuren had departed the group to join Megadeth on a permanent basis after performing live with the band since May.
Soilwork vocalist Bjorn "Speed" Strid offers up his encouragement:
"In regards to the statement Megadeth released yesterday, confirming that Dirk will join them as their full time drummer, I just want to take the time to wish Dirk good luck on this new venture and thank him for 12 great years together. Together we have created a beast of a band and have pushed the limits musically further than we ever could have imagined."
Strid further states Soilwork is charging forward: "In the recent years Soilwork have found new ways of expressing ourselves and as much as of a cliché it is, I strongly believe that this is very much of a new era for us and that we still have so much left to say, whether it being with or without Dirk. This band has grown to be quite a metal collective and an institution that paves the way creatively and we hope that you, the fans, can feel the presence and the heart in our music still to this day. Believe me, it's there. More...
