Lord Of War Posts Full Album Online
The members of atmospheric deathcore legion Lord Of War today drop the audio punishment of their brand new full-length via Unique Leader Records.
Fittingly titled "Suffer," the record was engineered and mixed by Daniel Castleman and Kelly Cairns (Killswitch Engage, As I Lay Dying, Carnifex, Winds Of Plague, Molotov Solution) and mastered by Miah Lajeunesse (Whitechapel, Aegaeon). Check out a full stream bleow.
Elaborates guitarist/vocalist Alexx Walshaw of the record: "With 'Suffer,' we wanted to make music that we loved hearing from our past influences, that sadly, wasn't being played much anymore. It seemed as though a lot of bands just weren't playing raw, heavy music anymore. Certainly nothing that was memorable or catchy enough to take home from watching bands at shows.
"We said, 'fuck that,' and set out to get back to making heavy music that was also catchy, while leaving room for the more modern stuff. Our goal was to make something that, no matter who you were, where you came from, or what you liked, we had something for you. I think we did pretty well in achieving that and hopefully everyone will find something that they enjoy about Suffer. Thank you so much for everyone who has been on this journey with us. It means the world to us and we can't wait to share this with you all!" More...

Vahrzaw Releasing "Twin Suns & Wolves' Tongues"
On August 26th, Blood Harvest Records is proud to present Vahrzaw's "Twin Suns & Wolves' Tongues" on CD format. Originally self-released in 2014 on CD-R in extremely limited quantities, "Twin Suns & Wolves' Tongues" was Vahrzaw's second album following a long, tangled history.
Vahrzaw was formed in 1992 in a southeast Australian industrial cesspit by high school friends. The earliest incarnation of the band was named Necromancy. Primitive death metal was the order of the day until 1993, when the style shifted to black metal.
Name-changes ensued, from Midgard to Deathcult, until 1994, when a stable three-piece lineup formed and the true Vahrzaw emerged. Three cassette demos of raw, filthy black metal were released, one of which was on the same label as Australian scene-legends Abramelin and Anatomy.
The band ceased to be in 1998, but seven years later, the project was re-formed with the same core members. A mix of black and death metal naturally flowed in rehearsals, and it has resulted in two albums, two EPs, and two splits to the present day, all fully self-funded, from merch to production.
A third album is in the early stages of rehearsal and will be released by Blood Harvest in 2017 for the band's 25th anniversary. More...

Aum Releasing New Album
Iron Bonehead Productions is proud to present the full-length debut of France's Aum, "Om Ah Hum Vajra Guru Padma Siddhi Hum," due out September 9th.
Not to be confused with the black metal band hailing from Hong Kong, Aum is obscurity incarnate - not only for the secrecy surrounding this new entity, but more so sonically. Although spiritually inclined toward the black arts, France's Aum carries forward that blackened base into crushingly heavy and tortuously twisted death metal.

Testament Announces New Album
The legendary bay area thrash metal giants Testament just announced the title and release date for an upcoming 12th album.
New full-length release "The Brotherhood Of The Snake" is slated to arrive on October 28th, 2016 via Nuclear Blast.
The album was recorded under the watchful eye of producer Juan Urteaga (Exodus, Heathen, Machine Head), guitarist Eric Peterson and singer Chuck Billy - and is currently being mixed and mastered by well-known metal producer Andy Sneap (Accept, Arch Enemy, Cradle Of Filth, Kreator, Machine Head, Megadeth).
Eric Peterson commented in an interview with Metal Maniac: "It's very diverse, but it's very epic. There's nothing on there that breeds commercial. And I think for thirty years of recording music and trying different formulas and stuff, we've found a formula that is very metal. I think for the metal fan that is looking for something, for the nook and crannies… not just your normal, 'Oh, it's got a thrash beat and a riff.' There's a lot going on here."
The songwriter also told Metal Forces in another interview: "It's different. This one is more thrash. I mean, this has got some of the fastest stuff that we have ever played. Usually, we have one or two thrash songs, and then we have some mid-tempo, and then we have a slow, heavy one, and then up-tempo kind of stuff. Half of the new record is thrash, which we've never done before."
He continued: "It's kind of like ‘Demonic’ and ‘The Gathering’, but a little bit wiser, I think. Chuck's not singing so death. I mean, he does some death stuff but he's singing more like he did on the last record and then with the craziness of ‘The Gathering’ or even heavy stuff like ‘Demonic.'" More...

Periphery Posts "Marigold" Video
Periphery will release fifth album, "Periphery III: Select Difficulty," on July 22nd via Sumerian and today the band debuts a first video from the 11-song album, with an animated clip for “Marigold” available bbelow.
“’Marigold’ was written pretty early in the album writing sessions,” guitar player Mark Holcomb explains. “It had been a song that anchored the songwriting direction for P3. The technicality, sense of melody, orchestration and big choruses lend itself to what I feel most of this record is about.”
Wes Richardson directed the video. He had previously worked with the band on the video for “Alpha,” from the band’s 2015 Juggernaut releases.
“Working with Wes has become second nature for the band,” continues Holcomb. “This is his fourth video for us. Not only is he uniquely gifted but he also understands the visual aesthetic of Periphery, as well as having a sense of humor that runs parallel to ours.”

Forgetting Fame Premieres "Sine Metu" Video
Today we're excited to introduce the world to up and coming quintet Forgetting Fame!
The Connecticut metal group has teamed up with us to exclusively premiere a new lyric video for the track "Sine Metu" - check it out below and let us know what you think.
Lead vocalist Daniel Fishkind comments on the mix of melody and crushing brutality in the track:
“'Sine Metu' is a phrase in Latin that means 'without fear.' The song is about never giving up on what you aspire to do, even if there are people telling you you can't, or you aren't good enough. Life is full of battles with both internal and external forces, but if you stay determined and persevere, you can overcome any obstacle. Don't let what others say bring you down or hold you back. Take risks, stay focused, and keep pushing forward. You never know what opportunities will come to you.”
Since the release of 2015's debut album, "Don't Look Down," Forgetting Fame has continued to bring a punk-sprayed metalcore sound to willing ears across the Northeast. Stay tuned for news on a second LP to arrive soon, and if you like what hear, you can follow the band at Facebook. More...

On the album, Tägtgren commented: "I was brainstorming about the cover with Heile again... And we got the result that I really needed. I rented a spacesuit and spinned away thereafter... Musically, the album is a development of where Pain and Lindemann ended at - more experimental than what I've ever done before. For the rest of the year The Vision Ablaze has planned tours in Demark, Sweden and Germany. Talking more about their plans, they said: “We've recently switched to wireless in-ears and it's the first step in making a smother live show. It enables us to control many important variables in our setup. We're also planning a video for 'Monster' too - which will be the 6th video for the album.”

Theatres Des Vampires Takes A Trip To "Candyland"
Italian vampire metal act Theatres Des Vampires is pleased to announce the upcoming release of the brand new album, "Candyland," which is expected to drop on October 14th via Scarlet Records.

"Candyland" was the name of that room.
Obsession and madness characterizes Theatres Des Vampires’ latest work. The sound is forceful and sensual at the same time, pervaded with those wistful and melancholic bursts which the band is renowned for.
