Baktheria Releases "System Sickness"
"System Sickness" is the debut album from Lisbon-based Baktheria. This new crossover adventure has Rui Vieira from Machinergy as a founding member and consists of thirteen tracks produced by Ricardo Bravo and José Pedro “Sarrufo” at Crossover studios. Rui Vieira comments:
“There was another title for the album and was to be that almost to the end but after rethinking its entire concept, no doubt that 'System Sickness' is the title that best defines this work. Conceptually, portrays what is rotten and stinks, the dark side, revenge, betrayal, (mental) corruption, hatred, racism, well... the disease of the human being, the system disease.
"It is a no bullshit album, a collection of songs just like we play live. I think we caught the aggressiveness and dirt that we practice in our performances, I think that objective has been achieved. It is also a melting pot of influences, a crossover of bands that formed us in metal and punk over the years. It was also the most extreme album I recorded so far and yet at the level of 'musical violence,' I’m still not satisfied.”
Check out the song "Muder" below. The full album's track listing is as follows:
01. Leave The Auditorium (intro)
02. Sorcery
03. Sickness
04. Torture
05. Murder
06. Blood
07. Traitor
08. Nerve
09. Untrust
10. Kill Everything

Hyades Unveils New Album Details
Hyades will drop new album "The Wolves Are Getting Hungry" on June 29th via Punishment 18 Records, with the label issuing this statement:
"Formed by guitar player Lorenzo Testa in 1996 as a heavy-speed oriented band, Hyades soon steered toward a more aggressive sound, mainly to mask singer’s Marco Colombo total inability to reach high pitch with clean voice.
"After countless demos, EPs, live EPs and more demos, the band finally found a record deal with belgian label Mausoleum Records, who released Hyz’s first full-length 'Abuse Your Illusions' in 2005. The band went on a European tour with legendary act Omen (US) then shared the stage with Onslaught (UK), Sinister (NET), Artillery (DEN) and many more, gaining a good popularity both in Europe and America.
"Hyades released then 'And The Worst Is Yet To Come,' their second album, in 2007, featuring a cover painted by Ed Repka and the usual blend of ironic and socially critical lyrics. In 2008 Metal Hammer UK listed Hyades among the 30 most representative thrash metal bands, with Exodus, Forbidden, Municipal Waste and other legendary names.
"In 2009 the band released their 3rd album 'The Roots Of Trash' and toured again Europe, before taking a break in order to concentrate on other musical projects and useless things like getting a real job and a family. More...

"A complex and orchestral album masterfully executed. A journey through black metal and ambient music… an exploration of various musical territories, such as folk rock, jazz or doom. Maïeutiste delivers an unclassifiable yet universal experience during which the boundaries of black metal are shattered without ever losing its aggressiveness.
"Written over a period of 5 years and deeply rooted in extreme metal, this first album breaks free from all the conventional aspects inherent to the very concept of genre and comes alive through each of its 11 epic tracks. Maïeutiste recorded their full-length in several places to do justice to the album's unexpected and versatile nature. A travel diary to rediscover during each listening." More...
