The Acacia Strain Seeking Stolen Guitar Processor

Devin Shidaker from The Acacia Strain has posted the following message online about having a piece of equipment stolen in Colombus:

"COLUMBUS, OHIO, I NEED YOUR HELP: Today I went to jam with some old friends, and after we were done playing, we decided to grab some food. While we were eating, somebody broke into my car and stole my Fractal Audio Axe-FX II MK II.

"Before anyone is like 'UHH LOL Y WOULD U LEAVE THAT IN UR CAR, IDIOT,' it was not in plain view, and I was parked on a public street right out in the open in the middle of the day.

"ANYWAYS. If you are in the area, please keep your eyes open when you go to any music stores or pawn shops, I will be doing the same. The unit has a little bit of gaff tape residue on the top of it. Thank you in advance for your help, please message us if you see anything.

"I have the serial number from Fractal, it is FXII-12G1015. I went around today to local music stores and some pawn shops, and thanks to everyone on here and other social networks, people have already been in contact with them, or in some cases, people have come in looking for my axe-fx on my behalf. I can't tell you how helpful this is, and it give me hope that I'll get it back, and more importantly it reassures me that even though there are some real garbage humans out there, people are for the most part good. Thank you so much."

Edguy Remembers First Show Ever 23 Years Ago

Tobias Sammet from Edguy posted this message to fans online about performing the group's first live show 23 years ago:

"Today 23 years ago, on June 6th, 1992 Edguy played the band's first ever show in Poppenhausen, Hessen, Germany.

"The line up back then was Tobias Sammet (lead vocals, keyboards), Jens Ludwig (guitar and lead vocals), Dirk Sauer (guitar and lead vocals) and Dominink Storch (drums).

"The set list contained 17 songs, 12 cover songs and five self-written songs that would have never been recorded. Among the cover versions were 'Runaway' of Bon Jovi, 'Touch too much' and 'Highway To Hell' of AC/DC, 'Paradise City' of Guns 'n Roses, 'Kickstart My Heart' of Mötley Crüe and 'Rock'n Roll Hell' of Kiss.

"It's really funny, if we take a close look at our roots, there wasn't anything that even remotely reminded me of metal back then. In must have only happened after we discovered the twin pedal for our drummer.

"Today, 23 years later, Edguy is gonna celebrate this anniversary with a best of show at Pilsen Metalfest in the Czech Republic." More...
