Be'lakor Guitarist To Sit Out Upcoming Shows
Be'lakor has revealed that guitarist Shaun Sykes will be sitting out upcoming tour dates throughout the rest of 2015 for medical reasons. Shaun comments:
“To the fans,
"Over the past 12 months I have been battling with a medical condition that will render me unable to play on the upcoming European tour. This has been a very difficult decision to make, and no one is more disappointed than I am to be missing these upcoming shows in Europe. Matt Dodds (guitarist from one of my favourite bands, Arbrynth) will be filling in for me during my absence, and will no doubt do a stellar job.
"My number one focus at this point in time is to complete the album and recover to a point where I can return to my regular duties in the band. Despite my setbacks, everything is going well in my recovery and I expect to be back soon. I want you all to know I am fully committed to getting back out there and playing shows for you guys.
"My sincerest apologies to you all."
Be'lakor also adds: "Despite this, preparations for the upcoming shows are going really well - after an extended period finalising our new music away from the stage, we can't wait to play live again. Cheers, and see you on the road soon!"

Névoa Releasing Debut Album
Altare Productions is proud to present the debut album of Névoa, titled "The Absence of Void" and due to drop on June 22nd. The label also comments:
"Hailing from Porto, Névoa is yet another elite newcomer in Portugal's quietly thriving black metal scene. However, whereas many of their immediate contemporaries go for a more concertedly grim sound, Névoa reflect their strong influence of nature with a sort of black metal that's highly atmospheric and stretched to epic, hypnotic lengths but is no less surging.
"A five-track journey that symbolizes passing through a forest, 'The Absence of Void' begins in a hopeful way and becomes darker as the harsh reality of nature is revealed. With no other option, we learn to accept the way nature behaves, and thus, we ascend, reaching a greater understanding, which marks the end of the journey.
"Portrayed through oft-blistering, even-more-often beautiful black metal, Névoa's 'The Absence of Void' is therefore aptly titled, and a brilliant beginning to what's set to be an illuminating canon."
The song "A Thousand Circles" can be heard below, and the full track listing is as follows:
1. A Thousand Circles
2. Wind and Branches
3. Alma
4. Below a Celestial Abyss

The Oxford Coma Reveals Album Details
Arizona metal experimental trio The Oxford Coma has now revealed details on an an upcoming second full-length album due out this summer.
Initially dubbed "The Pulls," a recent change of direction has forged a new cover layout and title for the album, which is now called, "Paris Is Mine." Through several lineup alterations and sporadic expansions, the usual three-piece bass, guitar and drums lineup of The Oxford Coma at times radically expands for live shows to include a second drummer, and for the first time on record, this time the tactic was applied in the studio setting.
Recorded, engineered, mixed, and mastered by Jalipaz at Audioconfusion in Mesa, Arizona, "Paris Is Mine" delivers forty minutes of exploratory thunder as perplexing as it is enthralling, even closing out with an improvised jam and a drop-tuned cover of Led Zeppelin's "When the Levee Breaks."
"Paris Is Mine" will be independently released digitally on August 11th, with a limited physical format to follow. The track listing is as follows:
1. Canadian Questionmark
2. Ritaling

"This is the record we as a band needed to make, and as an artist, it is the most proud I am of any piece of art I have been a part of making, both sonically and visually. People will file these things where they want, so pigeon-hole away." More...

The EP's name is taken from the track "Dreamwalker," which appeared on the latest full length effort "Back From the Edge" (see our review here), which was issued back in October 2014 via Inner Wound Recordings. Pre-orders for "Dreamwalker" are available now in strictly limited quantities only on the band's official website up through the week of release at this location.

We can’t thank Mike enough for his time and effort with us and we remain great friends. Taking 18 months away from things helped Rich sort things out a bit and for us to really appreciate what everyone can bring to the table. Our third album is sure to be a more collaborative effort and Rich has already been contributing some quality ideas. We feel like a full-fledged unit again and the overall morale between us is higher than ever before."
