Howls Of Ebb Draws Back "The Marrow Veil"
Howls of Ebb has crawled from the crevices to present a new MLP titled "The Marrow Veil," which encompasses 3 new limbonic death hymns and is set for release on September 7th.
"The Marrow Veil" is a transient departure from last year's debut album, "Vigils of the 3rd Eye" in the sense of removing an elusive insanity for a newer sort of methodical and destructive meditation. As HoB explains:
"The two main movements (or sentinels) of 'The Marrow Veil' are growers; vines of blooming ash. Just let them slowly entangle you and blow you across the rubikon divine!"

Krisiun Shows Off "Scars Of Hatred"
Krisiun just released "Scars Of Hatred" from upcoming album "Forged In Fury," due out worldwide via Century Media Records on August 7th, 2015.
The album will be available as a limited edition digipak including two bonus tracks as well as a woven patch, and 180g gatefold 2 LP edition with etching (including the album on CD) and as a digital download.
"Forged In Fury" was produced by Erik Rutan and the stunning cover artwork was created by renowned artist Joe Petagno. Krisiun comments:
"[The album] marks our return to the studio after 3 years of constantly touring all over the globe. Things were working well as we were always satisfied with the results of the previous records, but we thought that it was time for a change. Erik Rutan was the chosen one to be the producer, at Mana Recording Studios in Florida.
"This album could be described as a 'more natural' sounding album; the songs came out with more ambience and more low-end, making it sound even more brutal and straight-forward. It took us a lot of hard work and dedication, no fashions or tendencies were followed, this is a true relentless metal album to the bone, with a huge, natural sound. The song writing captures all the experience and feelings we gathered thru all the years of touring and recording, it has more variation and dynamics, but is still 100% Krisiun.
"Erik has a huge participation within the whole process, especially with regards to the band's performance. He was able to get the best out of each one of us, as we have been friends for a long time, so it was a pleasure working with him. This album was made with a lot of heart and passion for metal music. Hopefully you metal maniacs enjoy it as much as we did working it out." More...

Harlott Signs With Metal Blade
Metal Blade Records is very excited to announce today the official signing of Australian thrash metal act Harlott. Metal Blade comments:
"Forged in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia, Harlott are the finest example of the thrash metal genre in recent years. Taking their influence from the 80's Bay Area thrash scene, and blending it with the Teutonic melody and grit, they focus on high energy, up tempo music with lyrical influence from war, religion, chaos, and the human condition. Unrivaled live concerts, an aggressive recognizable sound, clinical musicianship, and a classic 'Aussie' sense of humour have earned Harlott a strong and dedicated fan base, which continues to grow day to day.
"Harlott's debut release 'Origin' blew audiences away with its unrelenting speed, ferocious sound, and hook driven riffs, and did much to solidify Harlott as an up and coming force to be reckoned with. The four piece thrash outfit followed with a national tour, a string of Australian heavy metal festival performances and a handful of support positions, including Germany's Accept and Megadeth's very own Dave Ellefson.
"Their follow up release 'Proliferation' only proves that the band means business, and could not only match their own fury, but even surpass it."
Check out the 1st single "Denature" below, and you can pre-order "Proliferation" at this location. The band also comments: More...

Phil Rudd Sentenced To Home Arrest
The New Zealand Herald is reporting that former AC/DC member Phil Rudd has been sentenced to eight months of home detention for charges of threatening to kill and possession of meth. His lawyer has launched an appeal, but for now Rudd remains homebound. Excerpts from the repot follow:
In Tauranga District Court today, Rudd received the sentence having already admitted to charges of threatening to kill an employee, and for methamphetamine and cannabis found in his home during a police raid last year. The 61-year-old appeared tired and expressionless as he stood in the dock while Judge Ingram delivered the sentence, after refusing an application for a discharge without conviction.
In ordering Rudd stay confined to his Harbour Drive, Tauranga, home, Judge Ingram also banned him from taking any drugs not prescribed to him. The drummer angrily refused to comment as he left the court, smoking a cigarette and telling one member of the press "to get a fucking job pal, get a real job."
Rudd, who has claimed his old band mates from AC/DC has shut him out since he was arrested last year, had earlier pleaded guilty to the charges in April. This came after police dropped charges of attempting to procure a murder, which caused an international media storm that his lawyer Craig Tuck, said generated more publicity around the band than the death of its former lead singer Bon Scott.
Video from after the sentencing can be seen below - pay particular attention for the hilarious "You don't seem to have learned much?" that could have come straight out of Flight Of The Conchords. More...

Amberian Dawn Issues Album Update
The Finnish symphonic metallers from Amberian Dawn are pleased to unveil the first details of their next masterpiece. Together with AD's co-producer Mikko P. Mustonen (known for his work with Delain, Ensiferum and Sonata Arctica), vocalist Capri, and composer Tuomas Seppälä, the band is hard at work right now on the new album.
The upcoming full-length, entitled "Innuendo," will be released worldwide on October 23rd via Napalm Records. Handling production duties on the record will be Tuomas Seppälä who also plays keyboards and guitar. Seppälä comments:
"This is one of the most melodic and vocal-driven album in AD's history. I've composed these songs in a little bit of a different way than I've used to do before. I have worked with these songs without any limitations.
"Some of the elements I've used have been quite unusual in the heavy metal genre and there's going to be a fresh new sound for AD. Musically these songs are still very much influenced by classical music but also by electro-composers like Jean Michel Jarre and Vangelis for example.
"Our new vocalist Capri was able to bring tons of emotion with her sound and lyric writing and I'm sure that this album will be our best so far." More...
